Hard to describe BBW's in stories?

I was wondering, while reading this thread (thanks for the Weebl and Bob-link, hadn't seen them in a long time!), how hard is it to describe a BBW in words? Must the writer mention her weight everyone now and then or only at selected moments?
I quite like BBW's, but I don't know how to create a story around one (or more ;)).
Carnevil9's idea about 'The odd couple' is really good though.
