I think Trump is gonna get a second term...

It depends on whether or not the Dems can get back to a moderate message and separate themselves from the extreme left loony tune libs and snowflakes because that association is why many on the fence went in favor of Trump.

Considering the Dems childish and petulant behavior at the SOTU and their making it known to Americans that they care more about non Americans, they're not off to a great start towards 20/20.

In fact that little scene may cost them their chance to gain seats in 2018

^^^Forgets how childish Republicans were at every Obama SOTU.

Valid, but does not change the horrible, current-cycle optics. Maturity often involves learning from other's missteps. They will be starring in the Republican's ads.

Trump could end up with three terms. One for money laundering, one for tax evasion and one for fraud.

Trump will be 74 at the end of his 1st term. He won't run for re-election. As an ex-president, he'll travel all across this great nation giving speeches to sold-out arenas. He'll also continue bitch-slapping the mainstream media.

Pence/Portman 2020

I was just thinking. Not 'term', but "whole life".

SPOILER: That's insurance talk.

This was a really stupid thing to say. He'll run again just to spite everyone. And it's not him that's been slapping around the media, it's the other way around, so get it right next time.

I agree with that assessment. Who do you have pegged to run as democrat or independent or third party?

I'm afraid it will be Jill Stein for Green again, and although I like her she won't break the 5% threshold. I think the Libertarians will have a no name again. At least Gary Johnson had some name recognition. We'll see this year how hard they push kennedy and the lady from California on us for the Democrats. If all of that happens Pence has an easy shot and will be our next president. I don't really like him either though. blah.

We need a wild card!

Are you finally admitting to main stream media bias? How refreshing..

Mainstream media made Tromp, giving him billions of bucks of free coverage, spotlighting him because showman. The media he slams now profit nicely from the attention he generates. He's shilling for the MSM.

Considering it was a perfect shitstorm of factors that got him elected to his first term, I'd say the odds for a repeat aren't in his favor. But could it happen? Sure.

I could see him retiring. It's not like he needs the paycheck or the aggravation. He could get just as much attention as an ex-president.

How would anyone know if he retires

I think Joe Biden has the best shot of any Dem., at least right now. If he had run for the 2016 nomination, I believe he would be the POTUS.

Interesting that the "definately" vote for the other party is only 38%, given that 50% actually did last time.

Not surprised that they definitely vote for him is as low as it is because I don't think anybody really necessarily prefers him.

I'd like to see that poll with Pence as a hypothetical with Trump having simply retired.

I don't think pants has tremendous brand recognition or popularity. I don't know what his negatives are like. It would also be interesting to just see, " if Trump were to retire would you vote for a Republican or a Democrat?" That would somewhat gauge how much people object to the person and how much people object to the policy.
