I Wonder . . . .

I wonder why so many people here have the word 'beach' in their name...couldn't they be more original?

Speaking as one of the hordes... :)

My own personal reason is that the beach is such an integral part of who I am. I grew up there. It is the only place on earth I can truly find peace when I'm troubled. It's my happy place.

For others it may just be a numbers game. According to the 2010 census, 39% of Americans lived in counties that contained shoreline.

I wonder if astronaut Chris Hatfield and our very own jameslewis have ever been seen in the same room....

i wonder if i held her gaze, could i sleep tonight, would i make the fool and chase from sight, would my hand be warm, to pull her in, a moment ending or a place to begin... i wonder

I think we all wonder this from time to time

I know it's easy to talk with real life friends about real life relationships. It seems that online friends can talk about online relationships. I know it's easy to talk online about real life relationships. I wonder, how easy is it to talk to real life friends about online relationships. There seems to be a disconnect; and I wonder why???

I think unless you've had one yourself, it's easy to discount an online relationship. People put too much emphasis on physicality as reality - if you've not physically touched someone, you must not be real to them. Or they to you.

Anyone who's had one knows this is not true. If someone lives in your heart, it doesn't matter what the physical distance is or isn't. There they are.

That's my theory. :):rose:
