If you could go back in time........

I'd like to go back in time for a medieval romp with Og. I think the hat is sexy, what can I say.

(AND the beard, and the size 14 feet, and.... etc.) Maybe we could do something really lascivious, like hold hands while walking through a pack of juvenile hoodlums in the town square.

:rose: for Og

I'd be honoured.

My real life wife might object unless she was holding my other hand.

As Henry VIII - none of my wives would have dared to object.

I visited Dover Castle today and was recognised even though I was incognito. I had to pose for photos with Japanese tourists. Now I remember why I don't go there in August.

Since I believe that the “Grandfather Effect” would affect any changes I made in the past, and probably not for the better — just different — I would avoid that.

Unless allowed some method to irrefutably document the event you have gone back to observe, I think it would be infuriating, to KNOW that the way historians are teaching it is wrong, and be unable to correct them. Also, what if you discovered that your favorite incident in history was a merely a earlier example of spin? What if you met an admired hero from history, only to discover that they were really an irredeemable shit?

I would be content with satisfying a lesser curiosity. Find out how important innovators liked what had been done with their idea.

Now, I’m not touting for any online product.

In fact, I am not certain that I approve, although I AM certain that I don’t disapprove.

I just want you to understand, to what I am referring.

And as always, supplying the link so any doubters can verify what I say, or if they wish, investigate further.

Here is my choice of what I would do if I could travel into the past:

I would take a battery powered computer and a copy of this application back to 1850 to ask Charles Babbage if this is what he had in mind for his calculating machine invention.

There are similar examples I should like to take back to other innovators, but nothing that I can illustrate half so well.
