Literotica is a great site because of the bulletin board and the chat. I hadn't tried the chat, mainly because of the separate registration process. I know the only reason I come to this site three or four times a week is to read what's been posted on the bulletin board.

There are also those...ummm...what are they called....oh yeah...story thingys. They kinda add to the place too...

Why we stay

I am just trying to figure out why people feel the inherent need to take the time and effort to complain about they don't like.

For most of the people here, this isn't just some "fake piece of real estate in cyber space" (Madame Pandora). This is a place where ideas and emotions are expressed by (shout mode on) real people (shout mode off). Real people that have little parts of themselves invested in their posts on this bulletin board. I know I do.

I try to take at least a couple of deep breaths before posting something, and I know I don't always succeed at being rational, but I try. People complain about things that they have made an emotional investment in.

Some complaining is a good sign. It means that the complainer cares enough to try to ask for an improvement on Literotica, even if he/she may not know how to ask correctly. I'm not refering to trolls; they're just trying to get an argument started for the fun of it.

CB, you I will address. I didn't "label" LacyCasy a dimwit. IMHO, she does that all by herself. In Italian, I'd call her a "noioso," but the closest English has is "dimwit." I would have called her "obtuse" but I didn't want her to have to look anything up. I'm sure you've caught on that I don't much care for her. I'm glad she did apologize to KM and WS, though. Shows she has AT LEAST the brains to realize at some point that she was in over her head.

No not over my head just polite, that is not a weakness, it is just that jumping in and being rude and nasty to people doesn't come as easy to me as it seems to come to you.

I still would love to know how you thought the initials MP at the end of your post meant you signed your name to your post? You never explained that. Signing your name would have meant putting Madame Pandora at the end of you post, you just initial your posts.

If you read the posts above you will see I apologized to EVERYONE for my behavior last month, gee that included you too. I have never noticed you give an apology to anyone for your long and winding posts that are usually snide and full of insults.

I know this post will be responded to with another post full of insults from you, the previous ones were, why not this one too right. So have at it, I have apologized, I can do no more than that. Wallow in the past if you must, you seem to enjoy it, I am moving on.
