Illusion Vale (OOC)

Neither can I. That's why I try to pick an av that would suit me. I wish that I could draw people but the only thing I can draw is maps and the odd landscape...

You are right... they do have that ethereal quality to them. They are perfect for you.

Hey! It's something :D
Odd landscapes can be pretty neat, and I've already seen your cool map for IV :D

Hmm... I just read over the last Dragons post. I think Alex and Selangra are too far out for a little waif girl to be following them. Selangra would likely eat her anyway :D

Ah well--moving on :)

I think she is going to fix her post so that she lands near where they were when they both got their armor.

It was meant to be there but she was ill at the time and couldn't remember what side of the city they were on.

Thanks for the congrats on the map. I didn't think it was my best but when everyone said they liked it I was like.... yay!
I was thinking about doing the maps for the cities as well. It might take a while but it would be worth it.

Oh right--you said she was going to edit
I'll wait and see how that turns out, then. I just had Mirah touch down in Thelassa for now, so she'll be able to depart from Invictus for a while.

That would be super cool to see maps for the cities! :D

Wolfsister is just telling me how each city looks so I can draw each map. Then you will see what Vakare looks like. It probably looks nothing like what you have in your mind though.... sorry

I don't know... Wolfsister did a pretty good job describing the place--you might be surprise. We might have the same sort of picture in our heads! :D

That's true... she does describe it to me fairly well and if I make a mistake she lets me know all about it. Luckily I haven't made many. LOL

Hahah! :D

So what are you up today (or this evening? I have no idea what time it is where you are :p)? Anything fun and entertaining?

It's about 12:00am here.

Apart from writing, reading, posting and doing some work on Vakare I would have to say not much. Just having a good relaxing night.

Have you been up to anything interesting this morning?

Relaxing is a good thing :D

Erm... I haven't done much of interest this morning, aside from writing and posting, and tweaking an MS that I've been working on forever now :D

Laundry isn't too interesting :D

Come on.... there are many fun things with laundry :D

There is one good thing that you have done today.... writing. Any day that you do any writing is always a good day.

I don't want to say this but it could have been worse. There could have been cleaning.... nah, I won't jinx it.

Fun with laundry, huh--I'm almost afraid to ask :D
Although the answer might really be entertaining!

Yup, I have to agree. I don't feel right unless I've put something on the page!

You can't possibly jinx me with cleaning--there's always cleaning to be done
My husband and I are moving south in the fall, so we're always cleaning as we pack up stuff we don't need right now.

Yeah. The answer would be interesting and entertaining. :D

If I don't write anything everyday then I go nuts so I usually find myself with a pen in hand everyday. It's an interesting way to write a novel, doing it long hand.

I know what it is like moving. I moved here not long ago. It was fun to say the least.

Wow! So old school! Though occasionally I like to hit the pen and paper--it takes me back to when I first started to write :) Even though I have a laptop, I prefer pen and paper when I'm out roaming around. There's something... romantic about it, I guess--or something :D

Uh... I don't know how much fun our move's going to be. We're looking to move about 12 hours away from where we are now, but I'm looking forward to getting there and soaking up some nice, warm weather :D

Try moving to another country. That was to say the least, interesting.

I know... I have this computer to write on but when I write on the computer what I want to say and what I type are two different things. I find that if I write it long hand I can tweak it when I type it all out. It is time consuming but to me it just makes it more emotional for me.... more personal.

Where are you moving to?

Talky talky talky...

Angelus I know what you mean about long hand... I write everything out everyday, my little brother 19 is in the army so I write to him everyday and while I do love to type I find that I make many typos that I don't usually notice for like a few days.

But I like long hand because it's something like no one does and it makes me happy... my friends think I'm crazy to write everything that I write about out in long hand first and then type it...

I bet! I can't imagine all the stuff you'd have to do to move to another country :p

I'm moving to Memphis, Tn. Actually, we'll be out in the 'burbs :D
It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

Cool--it's kinda neat to know other people's methods and how they connect with their work. For me, I'm very visual--I have to have a clear image of character, setting etc. If I can't write what I'm seeing in my head, I have no emotional connection to the words I write.

Wow... Memphis. Cool. That would be an interesting place to live.

I do it the same way. It is weird but when I go to write something I think "What would my character do in this situation." If it is not like him or her then I know I would have to write it differently.

Shit you're moving out with all the rednecks!

It's not crazy.... it is actually the puriest form of writing (well duh). I love writing long hand then typing stuff out. Although if you write one hundred pages and have to type it all out your fingers go "argh!" after a while.

Everybody keeps telling me that Memphis is interesting--I just hope it's the good kind :D

It's not weird at all--I do that sometimes, but mostly I'm of the school of "write it now as I see it and edit later" :D

That's partly where I am up to now.

I started typing up part of my novel and when I looked at it I thought.... I can do this better and that better and this so much better. The problem is, I cut out ten pages doing so.

I would love to go there one day. It is meant to be a beautiful place to live.

I told you. I almost jumped out of my seat the first time I saw it.

It's so malevolent... it looks like it's staring right at me--it gives me chills!
(I think I like the other one better--it's easier on the eyes :D )

If you cut 10 pages from your MS, and they really needed to go, then it's no big deal, if it's stuff you know you can do better :D
