To all who expressed concerns, I went to a cardiac surgeon this morning, and he said the the first doctor (a family practioner) was just being very cautious. He said that I have a murmur, but that many people live with those and live very normal lives. But he's going to make me come back next month so that he can listen to it again. But he told me that I was strong and healthy, and that I don't need to stop my high impact hobbies! So hopefully the next checkup will only reaffirm that I'll be fine without surgery! HOORAY!HOORAY!!!!!! I want to party! Anyone want to party with me?

YAY!!!

Sorry I missed your thread last night - which I just now read - I was busy. But that's excellent news!! Good thing you went back, you might have gone through needless surgery. My mom has a heart murmer that she was born with. She's now 51 and doesn't have any problems with it at all. Best of luck to you and sure, I'll party with you. :)

That is very good news Myst. I'm glad to hear it. Yay!

did he say anything about mentioning it to your dentist if you get any oral surgery?

That's great, Myst. I am very happy for you. If the doctor says that you're good and healthy, BABY....do what it is that you love to do and keep doing it well.
