And 1300 words in point form to frame up this scene to end chapter 5. Up over 50k now. This will be a long scene once I get it fleshed out, probably the longest of the entire novel but we'll see. This will take a few hours to flesh out, probably a couple of long sittings, but now my weekend is over and back to the grind.
Yeah that's tough, I did the difficult writing for the prologue (90% done) by putting my MC in a very bad situation and the emotional and psychological state that put her in. That was rough. 3 months to get 3.7k words; the attempt to do that justice took a toll on me as I don't do dark material so that was a first for me, now I have to do it justice for the aftermath. It's one reason why I chose the stream of consciousness 1st person narrative for the opening of ch 1. I really saw no other way to describe her mindset and emotional state. It's nerve-wracking going into new and dark territory you've never tried before. When I was writing stream of conciousness for "Into The Night', it was similar. It's such an immersive experience that it's emotionally exhausting. I had to force myself to continue again and again, and without the deadline for the Born to Run challenge I doubt I'd have finished it.
Does that mean you won't be posting anymore? Or should we expect your B material?being witty in the AH is done
I did some work on my novel rewrite today. As far as word count it wasn't a huge output, but I feel like I unlocked something. Put a little puzzle piece I've been missing into place. A very well-timed breakthrough: I've been feeling a little stagnant on the rewrite lately, I needed that pick-me-up to reignite some excitement in the work.
Now I'm moving on to a less serious smutty WIP. Or, what was supposed to be a less serious smutty WIP, but is gradually growing longer and serious...er than I ever intended. I hope to at least hit a home stretch soon, to where I can see where and when the plane can be landed.

Should I be disturbed that your reaction shot is of someone apparently getting electrocuted?
Is that what's happening? I just assumed someone had sat on the remote for her vibrating underwear.Should I be disturbed that your reaction shot is of someone apparently getting electrocuted?![]()
Tough to find time to write during the week but I managed to finish an important scene. Now that it's the weekend I'm hammering away. Feels slow but when I look back, I've made a ton of progress. I haven't touched the notes for the end of chapter 5 yet but I finished the two sweet sex scenes, the club scene, the final sex scene and the plot twist scene all to finish chapter 6 (draft). Word count is now 54.5k.
Finished up a couple of small scenes this morning, up to 55.4k. Two scenes left to finish, both sex scenes. One is the big group scene in chapter 5 that I have all mapped out. The other is in the last chapter and I need to brainstorm it to figure out how it goes. Maybe I will finish the draft by the end of the month after all.

I know it's how writing goes, but it just sounds weird reading that the group sex scene is 'all mapped out.'Finished up a couple of small scenes this morning, up to 55.4k. https://tenor.com/xSWU.gifI swear I'm gonna finish it. I swear I'm gonna finish it. I swear I'm gonna finish it.
Sarcasm, huh? You don't think I can, huh? Well, I'll show you. I really will finish it now, and then you'll be sorry!!
I wrote a large group scene (12 participants) in my most recent story (The Party). That's easily the most I have ever mapped out a scene.I know it's how writing goes, but it just sounds weird reading that the group sex scene is 'all mapped out.'![]()
Oh, my!I wrote a large group scene (12 participants) in my most recent story (The Party). That's easily the most I have ever mapped out a scene.
It was probably more than I was able to write effectively, but it was a good experience for me. Actually, I think the intermingled conversations between fourteen of them (two left before the orgy) was harder to write, but I did not plan it out as much.Oh, my!
I had troubles enough with three!![]()
What?! Me? Sarcastic? Never! Support and motivationSarcasm, huh? You don't think I can, huh? Well, I'll show you. I really will finish it now, and then you'll be sorry!!
