(((((((((Jenny and Oman)))))))))) glad that ya'll had a great weekend. A few weeks ago during Spring Break, at the Dallas Zoo, one of the gorillas got loose. They ended up having to kill it, he hurt a few ppl. Not bad, they are all ok. However, they did not handle the situation like they were supposed to. They are supposed to try to get the animal without killing it, but the policeman said that they thought it was coming towards them to attack them. They also did not handle calling the police and zoo security correctly. I still don't know how it got loose. They have a Wildlife section where the animals are more like they are in the wild. But noone can get near them. Someone said that some ppl had been doing things to provoke it. There has been alot of talk and evaluations for what to do if a situation like that arises again. That zoo is the one I used to go to as a kid and I have taken Daniel and my nephews and nieces. It is very hilly. I don't know if I could walk all of it anymore! However, Ft. Worth has a newer zoo and Daniel used to go there as a kid with church. I haven't been in years. I think that would be a fun time. We used to pack a lunch and have a picnic at the zoo.

That's a shame about the gorilla, Toni. A zoo outing is a good idea; there are picnic areas set up at ours, but you might need to share a little with the roaming peacocks and prairie dogs!:D

A nice view of the desert dome at the Henry Doorly Zoo. Glad such a place is nearby for us, and EXCITED that we'll be spending a lot more time there this season!:heart:

Yeah we always enjoy it, but it has been awhile. Too busy with everything else. Hope that we can find some time this summer maybe! We also have the Mesquite Championship Rodeo right here by us. We haven't been there lately either. Actually I think Daniel and his mentor went last year or the year before. It is fun, too! Smells, but fun!

But I don't think that they will be like these storms/tornadoes. The storm we are getting is coming from OREGON!!!!!!!!! Really, that is what the weatherman said. So I guess all the rain AA has been having to work in all week is coming here!

It's very windy and chilly and miserable (damp) today! The rain is taking its time getting here!

We've been lucky with the storms avoiding our area (they seem to be more east than we are), but we still get the occasional "warnings" and "watches" on the tv. (I can't wait until I'm better used to the word TORNADO!!)
