I'd take that 20 minutes of sleep!!!!

WIth me, I know that as soon as I start feeling ok , I can do this sleep thing, I might as well just get up without even looking at the clock. It is invariably about 5 minutes till the alarm goes off.

Letsee, I got home from work at 3 am, took a shower, went to bed, stared at the ceiling. Now you've got me doing that. Or not doing that. About the time I drifted off, the roomie decided to get up.

its weird how awake you can make yourself when you have to do stuff even when you had no sleep. :)

Indeed. Anyone here ever experience insomniac cat naps? Like all of a sudden you'll be at the computer for example and your whole body just shuts down as if you've been "turned off" -- had that happen last night...weirdest feeling. Only out for a few minutes but still.

That's like Navy Seal Hell Week where they only let them sleep 10 minutes every four hours while lying in the surf fully dressed with loudspeakers blasting feedback at 90 decibels. Apparently they drop instantly into REM and the instructors have to make sure that no one drowns.

that sounds kinda fun

Where's an emoticon that shows someone who's eyes are doing that swirly thing? Kinda like an @. Cause I'm sure if I don't get some sleep, mine are gonna start doing that. *sigh*

That reminds me, has anyone here tried Melatonin? It's a natruropathic remedy that stimulates the partof the brains that releases the hormnone that pust you to sleep. A friend of mine told me about it, and I"m gonna buy some as soon as I get some money. She says that the amount every person needs depends on the person, that yous tart with one, and if that doesn't work, the next night you take two, but that it will eventually help you sleep. She also says it doesn't have any of the side effects of sleeping pills and stuff like that. That you wake up alert and rested. On the other hand my mom has ried it and she says that you only get a couple hours of sleep on it, but that it's good sleep. At this point, I'd take a couple hours of good sleep, and I bet I'm not the only one. What little sleep I get sucks, cause of the muscle cramps and stuff. And those who aren't sleeping at all . . . well I bet you'd kill for juSt a few hours of sleep PERIOD. Well, I'll let you all know if it works for me.

melatonin is either one of the sleep cycle regulating chemicals in the body, or it's based off of it (I can't remember if it's just a synthetic version of the same chemical, or a similar chemical that does the same thing). I haven't bothered with it, because I knew what my problem was ... being a nocturnal person in a diurnal world. It should help though.

Actually that's a lot of my problem too. That I'm nocturnal, but frankly my kids are not. I have got to sleep at night, so I'm gonna try it. lol If I had the choice of sleeping during the day, I would. lol Believe me!

Hey Uncle Rosco can you and your posse not be under my bed tonight. I just started a new job and I need my sleep. Oh and take the bears in the closet with you also.

Oh and before you go can you tuck me in? :D

Congrats on new job! :)

But Ms Diva, the teddy bears are cute.... :D

Thanks malcah_ms. I was laid off in the spring. I was off for 263 days in total and my brain was in slow motion. Now I have to rev it up and get it going. I am not sleeping because my brain is trying to process all that I am learning.

Damn it. I want Uncle Roscoe to tuck me in. And ok I will keep one bear but no posses.
:D

I actually slept last night. I had nightmarish Samuel Beckett loneliness until 1 AM then konked out. The problem was, I wanted to be asleep at 10PM.

Take this toothbrush and go scub the officer's head, swabbie. I want to see my ugly mug in the chrome. Report back when you start to feel sle-e-e-epie.

the moon is making it light outside.

The moon while glorious and full was quite bright. Thank god for shutters. I actually slept last night. And, I didn't need drugs. Although a teddy bear would be nice, oh and to be tucked in.

But I am sure my serotonin won't last that long. Doc actually said I dont produce enough, which is why I don't sleep.

I do have a good diet though...oh well.
