Master is lucky to have got 6 1/2 hours sleep all week - and with His back pain He can't lie down at the moment either. No pain meds cos they make Him nauseous.....***** is a hell of a lot of fun right now

*hugs* Have you tried anti nausea (sp?) medicine? When my pain meds were making me sick my Dr gave me meds to help, so that I could take them. Another thing you can try is lemon tea, cause it has ginger in it and is soothing to the tummy. I don't know if this constitutes as spam (and if so, I apologize), but STASH has a great lemon tea, go to www.stashtea.com. And if you're feeling up to it, you can buy empty capsules at your local food store, and put ground ginger in them, and then swallow that, and that works AWESOME. It's what I use for motion sickness.

I've actually been sleeping really good. I'm tapering off the morphine, and that makes me sleepy and tired. It's been great, I've been getting like 10 hours of sleep! :nana: It's interupted, but hey, I'm not picky. At least I go back to sleep. :D

Thanks graceanne :) He does have stemetil tabs but He still feels crappy even when He takes them. I'm going to have a look in the health shop for some of the tea, hopefully that will settle His tummy.

I'm happy to hear that you're getting more sleep these days :) Though Master says that you deserve a spanking for putting that dancing nana in there! :D

Anything with ginger in it will help. Ginger is a natural antinaseua. I know that when my meds are making me ill, that a glas of tea really really helps. Oh, and Gil?

Well it's 5.10am downunder in Aussie & here I am posting again, the pain in my back is easing as i've either found a good combination of meds or it is easing at last after more than a week of pain which had me looking like I could get the lead in a hunchback movie. I've been getting about the unit with the aid of a walking stick.

Don't bananas help you sleep (as long as this is the insomnia thread and all)?

Not sure about bananas. Sex. Lots of Sex. When one cannot get sex...chocolate cocoa or would that be a stimulant. Bon bons perhaps? Hmmm. I can't sleep at all lately. Well I can never sleep really. Tired. Weary. Tired. Weary. Someone almost rear-ended me today, and certainly not the way I'd LIKE to be rear-ended.

I'm tired, depressed, low, dragging on the ground...making tracks like a snail, my energy blobbing out all over the dirt.

Sorry got lost in the moment there. :)

One thing that has helped with my insomnia...now I tend to wake up at five am to see if my amoureuse is online, and i tend to go to sleep with a more contented look on my face...Ok, so i have it bad....But when i am awake, my thoughts are in a much better place!

Not a bad thing at all. Are those your eyes in the avatar? Nice eyes. :) I sometimes think of a color that soothes me, and let it envelop me as I drift to sleep. Sometimes blue, sometimes yellow...and if you concentrate on the color, it lets (if you let it) you not think about all the other one million things floating in your head.

Although, this banana guy -- :nana: -- sure as hell doesn't help.

My eyes are a bit more grey.....but every bit as intense....

*sigh* Well, I'm not having trouble sleeping tonight. No! Tonight it's the kids. A's throwing up, and D has gas really bad. Frankly, it's mostly D keeping me up. A went back to sleep, but as long as D's awake - so am I. WHERE'S THE BABY VALIUM?

That brings back memories of many nights spent with a vomiting child....sometimes every hour on the hour  My daughter was one of those "spilly" babies and it seemed every time she got sick the bugs stayed in her stomach and made her throw up, she rarely got diarrhea.

And why is it always MUM they want when they're ill.....

No doubt Bandit -- same in my house. My little guy just got over another cold...sigh...well at least it doesn't seem to affect my sleep....ugh.

Actually when A was born that skin at the bottom of your esophogus that keeps your food from coming up wasn't fully formed. So if she got ANY air in her tummy she vomited. Actually that's an understatement, she projectile vomited. Anyone within a foot of her was at risk of getting puked on.

Then we started having problems with her strep throat, and her tonsills were really enlarged, so if she cried (she had chronic strep, bronchitis, and ear infections - she cried A LOT) she'd puke.

The only funny part is how quickly K would move if she gagged. We kept her in bed with us, cause she'd spike 104-105 degree temps with no warning, and she'd make the smallest gag sound, and I swear to god K would levitate off the bed, and be in the bathroom before I even got my eyes open.

As for why they want mom, I don't know about your kid's dads, but mines a grouch in the middle of the night. They want me, cause I'm the only one who is nice in the middle of the night. Plus, I have more experience with kids, so quite often I know how to make them feel better and K doesn't.

Hi snowy :) Bandit's doing fine ;) She is coping with a house full of teenage girls, a 9 year old boy and a v-e-r-y slow internet connection :D

I do know Master hasn't been sleeping at night but has crashed out on two afternoons from sheer exhaustion, even missing His beloved speedway because He slept for 8 hours  At least we have been able to chat on msn but that will revert back to emails and PMs from tomorrow because I'm flying down to stay with my mother for a few days. Also the two hour time difference (I am ahead) sucks and not in a good way

I will probably be here for at least another week.....I miss Him lots and I know He misses me.....I'm snuggling pillows because I miss His cuddles......also my friend's cat has been great company at night, once he's curled up beside me he doesn't move for anything :D
