I suggest that if you want to have a long term relationship with this girl, just be her friend for now. That is probably what she needs, and if you support her, you have a chance to show what a wonderful person you are, and thus upping your chances of her digging you when a healthy relationship is an option.

You can only be her friend right now, if even that. She may not be able to have you as friend because that means opening herself up and being vulnerable. Vulnerability is probably a very big fear for her.
