We are in the closet.
Hey Pete, is your sister around?
I spend mornings in either a drizabone or a lightweight but hideous puffy shell jacket I can ruin freely and washes well ( not to loom good but to smell better) over a puffy jerkin. 0ver fleece pyjamas. I have found nothing better for barn work. They layer well, dry super fast are really warm and make me work fast. I hate overalls.after yard work is over and I am clean through winter I have lived in my ? Faux) fur coat. I have been looking for my Burberry for spring but cannot find it, but bought a secondhNd trench coat in a charity shop last week, it fits better than my Burberry would. It's warm enough to wear it already.
My best friend said she would kill me if I change the buttons for steam punk ones![]()

It's so warm here that I don't even need a coat. Too bad too because I love outerwear. I have several, a very nice London Fog bomber type jacket I've had for years, mostly hangs in the closet. I have a 3/4 length windbreakerish jacket with a corduroy collar that I treat with campdry for the rare times I'm in the rain. I have various hoodie-type things but the only real usable coats for me are armored moto jackets. For the summer I have an Icon Anthem II textile and then when it is colder I have a Furygan Brutale Evo 2 leather.
Drizabone makes an oilskin 3/4 drover that I am coveting now, just to have I suppose.
For the young women of Boston, all of the sexy, body hugging clothes went back into the closet.I feel for them. Patience is needed.
I ran home, because the ice, snow, and road salt had eaten though the rawhide that laced my footwear into a wearable boots. I loved how the fringe would swing when I walked. That was decades, ago. Young ladies swing their legs, and swing their fringes. Theirs are weather appropriate. Mine were not. I could feel the contours of the earth under my feet as I walked through the park.
With windchill, it will feel like zero, this weekend. I looked for a coat filled with silver dots. (they reflect our body heat.) All sold out for the season.
Poofy coat, will do. Poofy hood. My Ogre Husband has a nick in his ear. He learned his lesson. He wore headbands that covered his ears, after the cold claimed a piece of his ear.
Ah, I was reminicing about high school. The last time I was foolish about winter wear. The boots the college and uni girls wear are similar to what I wore, but much more practical for winter.
I will have to take a look. Maybe I will like those soles, better. I like the soles that have ice grips built into the sole, but I have not seen any at the brick and mortar.
