I’ve always thought it’s a shame you can’t block individual threads, because sometimes the OP of a not pleasing thread has some good ones too.

But I’m okay with it now. I used to not put anyone on ignore ever, but these days my trigger finger is fast and I don’t feel bad for blocking someone, whatever my reason.

In other forums, I block in a heartbeat now, especially the GB. I don’t iggy here, though, in case people need to report something in a thread (clicking view post again and again to try to figure out which post would be no fun) and just in case the person needs to ask me for help. There a few threads I’d rather stop seeing, though.

Oh, yeah. It’s just not my thing. No need to censor anyone. That’s why we have ignore.

It’s the best way to silence the asshats and creepy folks, especially. Not only does it keep their crap off the screen, it takes away the temptation to reply and give them attention. Win win.

Same here, didn’t use ignore at all for a long time. Part of it because I was a mod in another place and there was no ignoring for mods there. I also tend to think I should be able to use my own mental ignore button. The GB changed my mind though. The sheer volume was too much to wade through. With some posters it is just picture threads that I don’t want or some kind of infighting by starting threads and then I tend to click view post.

Guys, don't think about it, just do it! I was bored to death during lock down last year and decided to post an 8 part story that had been bouncing about my head for a while. To my great surprise people really liked it and it had a large(ish) number of views. All eight chapters qualified for the red "H" and I have since began another couple of projects.

I decided to take the plunge and get it properly edited and polished up as an ebook and it can be found here.

Thank you for the encouragement! After talking about this with someone who’s more familiar with the story section (I remember only ever reading one story), Lit probably isn’t the right place for my story anyway. Maybe I’ll find another outlet.
