It started in the Dragon-closed

Mr. Watson and Andrew look at Salyne and give her a knowing sly smile. Andrew nods. "Mr. Andres we have two papist dog preists on the ship. What would tradition dictate happen. " Mr. Watson askes out loud for all to hear.

Mr. Andrres step forward. "It is the custom of the ship to race the filthy papist, Mr. Waton." The crew moves in closer to the clump of officer. "The rules are simple Mr. Watson. Each priest will be assigned a member of the crew to carry on his shoulders. Then three times around the deck. The loser is stripped to the skin washed in seawater. Then the man who bet the most on winner gets to have his way with the preist or can auction his chance to the highest bidder."

"And the winner of the race, Mr. Anders?" Mr. Watson askes loudly. "Oh he is the luck one he is get to join the winning crew member on the poop deck on his knees with his mouth open to service the luck crew member or any friends of the winning crewmember."

Andrew iterjects at this point. "Thee Captain's woman claims she was deeply insulted by the rude action of the Baron and has openly called for him to be punished in the same manner as the priest. Now my feelings were that the Baron have a value as a hostage and ransom payment. He could bring in a sizable return if he were returned to the king unmolested. "

Thomas Sullivan-Starboard side gun Captains steps forward and speaks to the crew. " As I understand it the King of France likes ta molest young men. I say we increase his value by molesting him. I say put him in the race with the preists. And he can carry me!"

Salyne listened to the rules of this 'game' the crew had planned. To her, it seriously sounded pretty interesting and seemed like it would be fun to watch. The more she hung around these pirates, the more she was getting into this new life she had chosen. She has experienced things in the short time since being here that she never dreamed of. Let alone, experience this type of captivity of another crew like this.

She could see the look of horror on the Barons face and all she could do was smile down at him, knowing he had to be boiling with fury right about now.

"Well, the rules sound simple enough. I say, let the race begin...."

Mr. Watson turns to Andrew with a big smile. "Well Captain I be figurin' on who yeah like fer riders?" Andrew looks around. "Wel, I want it to be fair race. The Baron going to be carrying a lot of weight. And well the priests look a little peaked. I think a lighter load would be in thje spirit of good fair play. I say Fisk and Witt the two look outs. How does that sound?"

Then the crew gave out a cry of bids. Supporters of Witt slapped him on the back and made a few veiled threats if he lost. Two of the randy boys look over the Baron. "He looks stong enough. And that arse be looking sweet fer the takin. " At that Tobias turns and looks at them. "What ever you slack jawed turd pushers bet I double it! Its my massive German cock that will be a plowin the Baron's stern. Win, place or show. I cover all bets on the Baron! Besides he's French." Tobias turns to the others in the small knot of men . "We Germans have a lot of experience hav'in our way with the French. We do it with knowledge and skill!"

Mr. Watson turns to the French men selected as participants in the race. "I have a good idea what your thinking. No I will not be doing this. That is a reasonable line of thinking. Lets put it this way. If you don't do it. A will slice the inside of your legs and throw you over board fer the sharks!" Mr. Watson looks over the three men.

"Any one yeah what ta not race?" he askes. And as they look at each other he pushes them one at a time to the stern of the ship. The three crew riders are cheered on as the bets get higher on the three men. Several of the crew select a Frenchman and push them down so their riders can mount them for the race.

Salyne sat back and had to laugh a little at this whole scene laid out before her, unsure of what to seriously make of it, but it was amusing none the less. She didn’t make any bets though, just as long as the Baron got what he deserved, that was all that mattered to her. It was very noticeable that Tobias really enjoyed what he does to them though; almost seem to be enjoying it a little too much.

There was a moment when she thought she should feel bad for these men, especially the priests; they didn’t do anything to be treated in such a fashion. Instead of dwelling on such thoughts, she let things happen as they were. Religion like that has no place on a ship like this and as far as she knew, the priests liked it like that anyway. Who knows what they do in those monasteries, all men with nothing else around.

“I’m a bit surprised you do not have them run naked. I think it would be more amusing, who knows, might give away the ones who are enjoying this.”

She mused a little at the thought while watching the men get ready to mount their ‘rides’.

Mr. Watson hears her and moves near her. "Oh no Maam' you see the rough cloth that the preist wear gives the rider a better grip. Also it is pirate tradition that men of god not be seen by god on a ship naked due to there knowledge of god's word. Since there are no female preists then all women can be naked on the ship. Even on deck. Many a woman captive has been layed across a cannon and taken by members of a crew. But a priest or monk only below deck." Roger nods slightly as he aproaches Salyne.

"I moved your things in to the Captains cabin. The French officers will be in your old cabin. As the Captain's woman you may have a servant to tend to your needs. Since there are no other women on board you can look over the crew and find one to your liking. I would stay away from the randy boys. They don't take kindly to a woman on board."

Roger turns and looks across the deck. Just then the race starts and Father Leon takes an early lead with the Baron lagging slightly. Thomas Sullivan kicks the Baron in the ribs to spur him on. "Move faster you French swine or you will carry shot for my gun crew up your ass!"

Salyne thought about everything that was just said and it didn't make much sense, then again, men of cloth didn't make sense to her anyway. Making it easier for the riders to grip them made sense and was very understandable, the whole naked thing.....

"Doesn't god see you no matter where you are? It isn't like you can hide from him or anything. I think their god betrayed them the second they got aboard this ship. Unless god likes to watch his human pets be tortured."

She curious about what Roger was saying, with having a servant of her own. The thought wasn't new to her, she's had servants before, just didn't expect to have one on a pirate ship.

"Would it be possible to take one of the priests? The crew can keep playing with him when I'm not using him."

"A Papist priest?"Roger looks shocked. He rolls his eyes at Salyne. "There are so many men on this ship and you would have a preist as a......servent?" Then he watches as the three Frenchman trot on by with there riders kneeing them and kicking them in the ribs to urge them onward. Roger raises his hand to his face and rubs his chin.

"I have though about it. It has merit I will ask the Captain and Mr. Watson. The one they call Father Regis will not win he will come in second. The Baron is sure to loose." I think a large bid on Father Regis would be a wise bet." This way the priest will be humbled to not become the crew's games and tricks."

She notices his reaction to the request, then just kind of shrugs it off with a little smirk.

"In all honesty, not really sure I need a servant.. but everyone else has their part to play on the ship, I would actually hate to take them away from their jobs."

The more she thought about it, it did seem kind of fitting having a priest be her servant, he wouldn't complain like the other crew members most likely would. Technically, he already is a servant of sorts.

"It's not like I'm saving him from the crew or anything. They can still have their fun with him. I just know he won't complain like about it. Anyone else here would bitch and moan and honestly, I wouldn't want to hear it."

Then she kind of laughed at the thought, one of them tailing behind her mumbling under their breath every manageable word possible. Not to mention, she really wouldn't know who to pick anyway, the priest just seemed liked a reasonable choice at this time.

"I'm kind of surprised you don't complain about having to stand by side all the time...... Course, I could chose the Baron just to drive him insane till he gets sold."

With that, she gave Roger a sly little smile before watching the games before her.

Roger looks at her. Then looks to Mr. Anders. "Mr. Anders 20 peices of eight on behalf of Lady Salyne the Captain's woman!" Several of the crew turn to look at him. Though none say a word.

The racers are coming around the the last turn of the first curcuit. Tobias makes his way over to Roger. He watches the race as he speaks to Roger. " Brother Roger, You can bet all you like on the thick legged priest I'm still going ta have his arse in the forc'le before morn'n." He turns and looks at Salyne with a sneer. "I'm not lik'n you on me boat. Though the Captain does like the ladies and you not the uglies one that we've had aboard. But I hope yer bet goes ta the drink!"

Roger looks at Tobias sternly and he moves away. "Strang as that might seem that was in itself a compliment. If Tobias approves of you. None of the other randy boys will be any problem. And even if they do bother you." He smiles pleasantly at her. "I'l throw them over board to the very sea that birth them. And Lady Salyne I don't complain because I like my work. And if you do choose the Baron. He will complain. And I would throw him over board ta the briney deep. Regardless of Tobias and his filth desires or the ransum monies. " He pauses as the rider turn into the first straight away. " Ney, I would want the eight his arse would be gettin'."

"Yes, the Baron would cry and moan, though oddly enough with him, it'd almost be worth it. After all, he'll have to learn to obey both female and males in this new position of his."

She laughed a little as she thought about ways of to torture him already. However, she would have to give him back to only have to chose again later on. Tobias and his words took her by surprise, not expecting to actually have any of them speak to her, let alone show some kind of compliment in their own way. Salyne didn't respond to him, other than a little smirk when Roger stepped in and basically chased him off.

"Let them have the Baron, the way he was acting and that look in his eyes, I have to wonder my father is using me a reward for my 'safe' return. I'm oddly enough safer here than I would be with him."

Again, a little laugh escaped her lips, thinking of how ironic things have become in such a short time. Her knowledge of the baron wasn't a pleasant one, she has heard many stories of how he treats his women. Even compared to what she has heard of what the randy boys do, she's still rather be here.

"As far as throwing anyone overboard, that would be too easy. They still have a chance to survive and come back with a vengeance. It is better to torture them a bit, put them in their place. It seems to be better to break a person rather than give them an easy way out."

look of shock

Roger waqtches the racers turn the second corner. And he heard what she said. He stops watching the race and stares at her breifly. "Those very words!" He stutters. She looks at him. "Those are the very word of the Master of Arms on the Queen's Ann's Revenge. Those very words." Roger smiles broadly. "Yes Lady, You will make a fine pirate and a fine Captain's woman. You think like a pirate. This will make the crew very happy!"

THe racers turn the third corner and start for the home stretch. " One more ta go!" Roger calls out allong with several others of the crew. There is much shouting and noise on the deck. Most of the crew is watching the race. Then one of the men in the rigging calls out "SAIL HO! Spanish Gallion off the port side!"

"Well, I have always had an unusual mind set for being a female and it comes from being raised by my father. He thinks that way quite a bit as well."

The last part of what he said made her look towards where Andrew was standing and smile a little at the thought, wondering if she can become a good woman for him. So far it's been interesting, his needs are pretty common for man. But, she is tempted to up the game a little, since being here she has learned a few things about herself that might be pleasing for him as well.

"I'm still learning what it takes to be his woman..."

With that, Salyne looked towards the water where the Spanish ship was coming from, wondering if things will pass each other smoothly, or the crew will get more 'gifts' for tonight. From what she's heard from her father, the Spanish Gallion wasn't an easy ship to mess around with. Though, her father isn't an easy man to deal with either, Andrew had his own way of dealing with such things.

Spanish Gallion

Andrew turns to the crew. "Gun staions lads!" He turns to Mr. Watson. "What do you say Mr. Watson?" Mr. Watson raises the spy glass the his eye. There is a pause as Mr. Watson observes the Spaniard. "Capt'n looks like the Nuestra Senora de Las Mercedes from the Santa Marta flotilla."

Andrew runs up to the quarter deck as one of the crew hands him a spyglass. "I think you are right Mr. Watson!" he says look for himself. "She out guns us but she is very show turning into the wind." He looks quickly at the sloop tied up next to his ship. He searches the deck and finds Mr. Anders.

Mr. Anders take a small crew and Lady Salyne take the French sloop and sail west. I will catch up with you as soon as we finish with our Spanish friends!
Scotty take the prisoners below. The race is over we will settle accounts later!"

Andrew sees Salyne. He smiles at her. "Go with Mr. Anders and keep the French sloop safe. I will see you soon!"

Salyne didn't really want to leave Andrew, but quickly realized there was no room for argument, it was captains orders after all. Although she didn't let herself be guided off the ship without going up to Andrew and giving a deep kiss.

"I will hold you to your word."

She smiles at him just before kissing him again and was soon being pulled from him and guided onto the sloop. The whole time she kept looking back towards the on coming ship and Andrew. Fighting the urge to stay.

Mr. Anders and the Black Dragon

The small 12 man crew went to hacking lines and cutting the French sloop free of the Red Horse. Half the crew rushed to the sails and started to raise them. Mr. Andrers draws her near. "Our job is to get away. As the Captain's woman you are the only other officer on board. I know these men, I trust them all."

Soon all the lines are cut and the sloop moves away. Mr. Andres points toward the gallion. "She could easily blow us away. Buy we are much more nimble then she is . And I doubt she will waste shot on us. The Red Horse is a much more dangerous threat. Her 26 guns are deadly. We have 6. Any way my orders are to sail west to the coast. I plan to head for Virginia waters. " He looks up at the French ensign fluttering in the breeze. That will have to come down as will the flag. That will be later."

Salyne truly didn't know what to do or how she felt right now. Unable to take her eyes off the ships that slowly slid into the distance. Listening to Andres, though it was no real comfort to be leaving Andrew behind like that.

"Might as well take care of the banners now. I'm sure it'll become an issue with any other ships that we pass."

She looked up to the flying material and gave a little smirk on how ironic this was. It was a nice sloop though and somehow she could picture her own mark flying in the wind like that. Although, she didn't really have a mark anymore since she left all that behind. Which made her wonder what she would use now as her own symbol.

"Anyway.... I am sure they will be fine, like you say, they out gun that other ship. I've just heard far to many rumors about the Gallion, none of them are pleasant."

With that, she turned to face the rest of the sloop, taking a quick look around to see what they had to work with, which didn't seem like much.

"Virgina waters sounds good. Do we have enough supplies to last? How long should we expect till we get there?"

Mr. Anders

Mr. Anders looks up at the ensign then at the the two larger ship. He is pleased with himself that he had managed to do two things that the Captain had wanted. First was to get Lady Salyne away to safety. And second was to get the prize away from the Spanish. He was sure the Red Horse could hand the less maneuverable Gallion. He lookes back for the last time as the cannon on the Red Horse start to fire.

"Lady Salyne If you would lower the French ensign that would help. Also after that go forward and check the spirit sails and make sure they are set. Those are the sails that are at the very front of the ship. The crew will handle the main and the missen."

"Virgina waters sounds good. Do we have enough supplies to last? How long should we expect till we get there?" She askes.

Mr. Andres looks at her and smiles. "We are about 30 miles from the East coast. Near Maryland I figure. There is a few places that we can stop. Virginia should be a few hours south of there. Supples will not be an issue. The crew is used to missing a meal or two. Though that should not be the case with us. By morning we should get a landho and follow the coast south."

Salyne jumped a little when the cannons started to fire, it made her sick to think she was here instead of helping him out, wondering what good was she to be running off like this. Then as she thought about it, she would probably just be in the way on that ship too, knowing nothing about the cannons made her useless no matter where she was.

"umm yea, sure, I can do that. And that is good to know about hitting land fairly soon."

her tone was slightly distant, unable to keep her thoughts together, to make things worse, she really didn't trust the men on board. She didn't truly trust them on the other ship, but at least there, she had the captain by her side... here, she really had no one to protect her from whatever needs these men might have. She trusted Anders, at the same time, she truly didn't know him or these other men. Just the simple fact that she's sitting here in a really pretty dress, defenseless among a handful of men that could easily overpower her.

She shook her head, pushing the fear away for now and listened to the cannons firing while she set out to complete the task Andres had provided her.

Aboard the Black Dragon

The wind shifts slightly and the main sail and now the course sail fill with power. The sloop pushes ahead smartly. In minutes the Red Horse is several hundred yard away and gaining distance. The crew sets the braces and ties off the lines.

Mr. Andres watches the sails fill and moves over to the navigator. "Set up a few point south of West. We are making for the coast. Keep the ship at this heading till I tell you otherwise." He looks back at the Red Horse." Capt'n Andy will blow that Spanaird ta hell!"

He looks forward again. "Steady as she goes. As long as we have the wind."

There wasn't much else for Salyne to do at this point, finished with the task that was given to her. She proceeded to roam around a little, searching out the captains cabin for what it was worth, but she figured there might be something useful in there. Maybe some idea as to why they were out here, or perhaps where they were heading.

Also it would distract her from the focus she had on the cannons, though they were growing more distant and she wondered how they were faring out there. It is still an uneasy feeling in her gut, for now it was out of her hands and nothing to do but wait and snoop around for trinkets to sell or keep, hopefully some kind of clothes as well, knowing there wouldn't be any female clothes, but she can make anything look good. All she knew is she didn't want to destroy this dress, it was one of her favorites.

Aboard the Black Dragon

Shortly after mr. Anders gave his order. A strong wind blowes out of the North. The Black Dragon sours through the waves, which are staring to pick some what. In an hour the ship is 40 miles away from the battle and sailing hard for the coast.

Mr.Anders watches as the clouds darken to the North. He looks to the helmsmsan. "I think we are in for a Nor'Easter. I'm taking Lady Salyne below. Reset the course for do East. The wind will push us further south then my liking. I will be back shortly."

Mr. Anders searches the deck area and can not find Lady Salyne. He decides to go below and search for her. He starts forward and moves toward the stern. After 10 minutes all that is left is the small cabin that had been the French Captain's. He opens the door and walks in.

The Captains cabin in a sloop is far smaller then that of a frigate, such as Red Horse so when he Mr. Anders walks in to the cabin he is confronted by the naked body of Lady Salyne.

Salyne rummaged around till she found some simple pants and tunic with a billowy white shirt. It was not the greatest of outfits, but would make due till time allowed for shopping. Anders came in just as she took the dress off, barely just got through laying it on the little bed next to the other clothes.

It paralyzed her for a moment as she tried to get some type of composure back, then soon turned red from embarrassment.

"I.. I was just changing into something a bit more comfortable. Didn't want to ruin the dress."

Surprisingly enough she didn't chase him out, instead she grabbed the over-sized shirt and tossed it on real quick. It came off one shoulder and barely comes to mid thigh in length, it was enough to hide most of her unless she bends down, which she would have to do to get the pants on. In the meantime, she stayed put, trying to not give him to much more of a show.

"There's a map on the table over there, sadly I am not that great with maps yet, so I couldn't read it very well. There is a mark on it though with some notes on the side."

She was clearly trying to take the subject off of her current situation and attempting to not be too overly shocked at being seen like this. The shirt wasn't fixed in place and the way it hung off her shoulder it hardly hid much of her breasts and hard nipples that pressed against the light material. Salyne knew she could easily ask him to leave and maybe he would, however, knowing men the chance of him leaving was fairly slim. All she could do is hope the map would be a distraction for him, at least long enough for her to finish getting dressed.

Mr. Anders glances at the desk then back to Lady Salyne. He watches her slip on the shirt that she had found. Itdid a poor job of covering her breasts. She seemed to be aware of the fact too. He hold his glaze on her. And watches as her nipples get harder.

"Lady Salyne your title is the Captain's woman. " He takes a step toward her. "The title is not honorary. Its a staement of given fact." The cabin seems to shrink as he moves closer. "I have served with Captain Brightwell a while now. He has had several women in his cabin. I hope you didn't think you were the first. " He stands next her and looks down her shirt.

"Some of the woman ran, some stayed. Though in the end they all left one way or another. One was thrown overboard. Two were killed on the streets of different cities on different islands. Three got married to men and had children. Several became pirates themselves. A couple walk the streets as whores."

Mr. Anders raises a hand to her breast and rubs her hard nipple. "He will die with a pistol in one hand and a sword it the other. Not in the bed with a wife."
His other hand comes up to her face and he lightly brushes a strand of hair from her face. " I on the other hand look at this as a chance for advancement. A King's pardon and 100 acres of land to start a plantation."

She wasn't surprised by the bold move, he is after all a typical man and this is a situation that men tend to take advantage of. Salyne did however, attempt to back up only to find herself up against the wall. His words did confuse her though, the way he speaks of the other women, then to end it with this kings pardon.

"I know I am not his first, and I know I'm not his last. He'll most likely toss me to the side when he's bored of me. Like all men do to women."

It was difficult to ignore the simple touches he made, fighting off any sounds that would indicate pleasure. She even went as far as raising a hand to stop him, trying to find any escape around him. The room is too small though, any attempt would be hopeless with where they stood.

"Why are you always trying to scare me with stories of other women? I know I mean nothing to him or anyone else for that matter. Sadly, as of right now, I have nothing, I left it all behind."

There was confusion deep in her eyes as she looked to him, his last statement almost sounded as he was offering something. Wondering why he told her as much. It was then she tried to push pass him, hoping he would take the hint. Although, it isn't an aggressive push, in fact it seemed almost gentle and unsure of what she truly wanted. Part of her knew where he was going with such intimate touches, he is now Captain of this Black Dragon, her being the Captains woman made her his now. At the moment, she refused to accept that, thinking she'll be going back to Andrew.

"What would you have me do? I'm not a whore and I do not wish to be passed around like one. Becoming Captain's woman was a chance I had to take in order to not be the crews entertainment."

Deep down she had thoughts about leaving, waiting for the perfect place, knowing that a pirates life isn't really for her. She felt pretty useless on the ship right now. Granted she was learning quite quickly, in the long run she had to wonder how long she would truly last.

Even now she missed the land, the freedom to go where she pleased. Naturally she wasn't about to admit all this, leaving it open ended to see where he was going with all this talk.

"Tell me Mr Andres, what would you have me do? I am now a woman that has absolutely nothing....."

"Nothing? " he askes soothingly. He lightly holds her wrist as she makes an effort to get by him. "Quite the contrary, Lady Salyne. " He glances down to her breasts then into her eyes. He smiles at her. "What I would have you do is join me when we make landfall. We make a generous offer of a French sloop to the local goveror. Make petitions for a Kings Pardon then find a peice of fine land and start a family."

While he did not let her go he also did not hold her too tightly. "You are on the edge of everything. " He smiles at her lightly. "That is every thing most women want. A quiet safe life in the country surrounded by the family that adore her."
He takes off his hat and places it on a sea chest next to the wall. He draws her near him. He kisses her lightly on the lips. "I fell for you the first time I saw you on the gangway."
