Visiting the US I was astonished to find that people actively drive aggressively towards both pedal cyclists and motorcyclists, trying to run them off the road or worse. People here can be inconsiderate or thoughtless but generally no worse than that.

Maybe in NH it should be 'Live free and die?'

I think you underestimate the power or your beauty downer. You could just as easily walk in and ask "That's a nice heart/brain/body, may I borrow it and add it to my repertoire?" Guys like me will give them up and be flattered that you sought to take them.

Cruise down to Melbourne anytime you want a ride. I work in with a group of 20 to 40yos (me) and of the nine of us, six ride to work every day, and one of them is 5mths pregnant. It poured rain last night, and five of us still rode home, and laughed about it this morning. (I laughed because I worked late, and the rain stopped 5 min before I left work) It's hard for me to believe the difference from when I moved here 20 years ago, and cyclists would stop and chat because it was so uncommon to see another one. Now they clog the streets, and main thorough fares are changed from four traffic lanes each way, to two lanes plus a bike lane.
