I've never once seen Frodo extol the virtues of carbon dioxide as it relates to plants. You know, the very plants that thrive and sequester even more carbon dioxide when more is available?

Things that environmentalist want absolutely do not need to make sense. I have yet to meet one that's in favor of nuclear power which is 100% carbon free. Wondering for the modest amount of uranium we need is nothing compared to the Grand scale for the battery needs that they seem to think we should pursue. How about ethanol? It takes something very close to a gallon of petroleum to make a gallon of ethanol. In other words not only does it not actually reduce our consumption of fossil fuels it doubles are CO2 emissions. I guess you can argue that you can ignore half of that CO2 emissions because it came from corn that had to pull that same amount of carbon out of the air in order to grow but that seems like a pointless cycle doesn't it? You ever seen any environmentalists calling for the cessation of ethanol Band-Aids and subsidies?

So shut up about environmentalists knowing anything about the environment.

I... don't think you've ever talked to an environmentalist. They love the shit out of nuclear power. Like... they're obsessed with it. There's an entire movement called "Environmentalists for Nuclear Power".

I've never met an environmentalist that wasn't in favor of nuclear power. I mean, I'm sure they exist, but they're the exception to the norm. Environmental groups are, as a rule, very vocal about their support for nuclear power, alongside solar and wind.

And also, yeah. Again, SUPER vocal about not wanting to replace grasslands with cornfields. Like... do you even listen to NPR?

Edit: I'm trying to figure out how you got this confused because environmentalist groups are so active in lobbying for nuclear power, and the only thing I can think is that they want safety regulations and you somehow confused, "We don't want meltdowns" with "We don't want nuclear power". They're saying that shit's dangerous and you have to watch it, but it's a good system, you just gotta watch it.
