James Talarico is a Texas state rep running for U.S. Senate. Stephen Colbert was going to interview him on "The Late Show," but the network's lawyers woudn't allow it.

Colbert did the interview, but it was only broadcast on YouTube.

It's a funny old world. Networks are obliged by FCC 'Equal Time' to have representatives of both sides during a campaign. Talk shows have always been exempt from this, but it seems that the MAGATs have removed that exemption. YouTube is outside of that rule.

The MAGATs refused to allow their representative to appear on the show, so the station lawyers decided that meant that the Dem couldn't appear either.

We now live in a world where a political party decides whether another party can appear on TV. Does that apply in the other direction?

Is it this week's attempt to distract us from the Trumpstein PDFiles?

what you're witnessing is the start of democrats trying to win the mid terms.

they're trying to veer away from far left talking points. this is why you have hillary and barrack currently trying to rewrite their positions.

they don't want crockett~they want the white guy in the front.

welcome to the democrat discard bin.

praise allah comrade.

If you put a full stop at the end of a line you need to start the next one with a capital letter.

fortunately i'm good with them letting go of jazzy c.

who do you think will be next?
"i'm" - should be "I'm"

Similarly, if using people's names they should have a capital at the beginning, so Hillary, Barack and Allah.
It is also nice if you can spell their names correctly. He is a former President, not a building used to house soldiers.

What we're witnessing in your post is a pedophile trying to protect their pedophile president.

well at least you aren't insulting my grammar thinking its wit.
Oh I would not praise him for that, it is not like he would have had a struggle to find some trait of yours to insult you over. There are numerous options available.

(And I was not 'insulting' your grammar, I merely was pointing out some rather basic errors. A greater degree of personal resilience would probably be of benefit if you intend to post on this Board. And again that is advice, not an insult).

When you come up with one let me know.

The voters WANT a leftist option. They have wanted one for some time. Sanders would easily have beaten Trump in 2016 if he got the nom.

when they said equal time

does it mean like equal time for both democrats and republicans

He doesn't seem like a fighter. The people want fighters.
The glamorilla troll is wrong, they don't want a weakling corporate Democrat, they want a real progressive Democrat against these right wing thugs. Polls upon polls show that.

Well, Mamdani can't be president -- not a native-born citizen.

Yes that is unfortunate.

I was thinking in terms of Crockett who is competing in the primaries with Talerico, she's another one who has got.what it takes.
