January 2016 Poll: USA President Prediction

Who do you think will win the 2016 Presidential election?

  • Total voters
    49
  • Poll closed .
I can wait to see what happens--actually I can wait until Super Tuesday, because Iowa and New Hampshire are both anomaly states. Since I'm not rah rah for much of anyone, and because this may be the first election where the parties manage to toss out all contenders now vying for the nomination and come up with someone else by November, I have no trouble in sitting back and watching.

As far as this forum, despite all of the huffing and puffing on Trump, the poll in this thread pretty much shows that the center of opinion is strongly elsewhere.

Oh my, yeah website filled with liberals. Clearly this forum is a great place to get a feel for how the country will vote.

Personally, I'm just enjoying the hillary train derail

It seems like the "Establishment" have lost their grip on the electorate.

Trump and Sanders are each leading an insurgency against the political establishment

With Congressional approval hovering at 16% it is no surprise that an insurgency is developing.

Theo’s Pizza Restaurant is heaving, the anger and frustration palpable. James Egloff drove his family five hours on a frostbitten day to be here. Preacher’s son Ted Cruz , in blue jacket and open-collared shirt, does not disappoint, eviscerating the political establishment, talking guns and religion and prophesying a national “awakening”. The audience, clapping and hollering, loves his firebrand act.

At the Henry J Sweeney Post of the American Legion, meanwhile, things are not so hot. Jeb Bush , in shirt, tie and suit trousers, works the wood-panelled room with Senator Lindsey Graham in tow. The candidate is unfailingly polite and a little stiff, with agitation brewing beneath the surface. He promises better healthcare for military veterans and a pragmatic strategy for fighting Islamist terrorism.

The retail politics of the New Hampshire primary, in which contenders for the most powerful office in the world must brave chill winds to shake hands and pose for selfies in unromantic beer halls and school canteens, are impressive in the digital media age. But the contrasting energy in Manchester last week illustrated how the 2016 presidential election has confounded all expectations. A year ago Jeb Bush versus Hillary Clinton looked like a safe, if dull bet. No one dreamed that, with the Iowa caucuses approaching on 1 February, polls might be suggesting the rather less likely head-to-head of Donald Trump versus Bernie Sanders , a clash not of political dynasties but of popular movements.

Go Bernie!

Yep, some folks are going to be very surprised when this spins out. I'm so insulated from it, that I'm not really as scared as some of the rest of you are acting. :)

It has been the for the last ten years actually.

I just read a mainstream piece (sorry, I can't point to it) about the London betting markets. They're pretty solid: Hillary first, Donald second, Bernie third. These are the markets that predicted 04-08-12 right. But now Bloomberg is in the race, maybe. This could get fun.

Bloomberg is a joke....I think the biggest upset would be if they actually charge HRC with something for the whole email deal. Then things would get real interesting real fast.

Unfortunately, I see Hilary winning also. Not happy about that. Definitely not the first female president I would like to see.

The idea is pretty exciting...

Bern v Trump...lol omg it would be nuts, maybe even a civil war if Bern wins.

I know right. That's the kind of shit you should cancel the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania over and just sell tickets. Get some chants going.

Don't joke about a civil war. One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Remember that line....for all. Have we provided liberty and justice for all? Has this President provided it for only some? If you tell me this President has served all the people I will call you a liar. History will remember him as "The Great Divider". Trump will be the uniter because he speaks from.somewhere other than what a teleprompter tells him ti say. Sometimes it is from his ass....but at.least he is tangible. Josh Earnest and Obama are not. Two empty suits. Lead.

Can't wait for the Trump economy! Low energy costs, low inflation, should be a wild ride in 2017!!

Not so sure about that.....plently ahead. She could implode if she doesnt get the younger vote.

It's never been that country to begin with but yes I do remember that line. Obama will not be remembered as the Great Divider because he didn't divide anything, the country was always like this.

Trump may or may not unite us if he wins. If boot camp taught me anything it's that hating one man sufficiently is enough to drive nearly anybody into kinship.

This site is.just a little more.left than the U.S.......really? Wow? Shocking?

It is an ideal. With liberty and justice for all. How has the current administration provided any leadership towards this ideal? What we get is "The Great and Powerful Divider" has spoken. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Now go and speak to my flying monkey Josh Earnest. He has effectively given up. Since his re-election he has become a defeated leader. Hillary is of more of the same. We don't want it Sean.

There's a whole lot of territory between where your type thinks Trump is and the center, let alone the left. The kicker that shows how dumb folks like you are is that the briefest of research into Trump's positions before he went on the fear/hate campaign trail reveals him to be on the left in most issues, certainly one of the most left positions of all candidates on most issues before he decided to find out how easy it was to dupe the great American unwashed. Apparently not hard at all.

It's an ideal sure, but it's not a reality. The current administration has provided very little leadership towards this ideal. He's been to afraid to and apparently with good reason since you call him the "The Great and Powerful Divider" despite him doing nothing to improve the state of minorities.

Obama has become a defeated leader? He's beena lame duck for seven years if anything the last few months have been him in full "Don't give a fuck" mode and finally doing anything. Hillary is more of the same and polls suggest we do want it. Personally I want Bernie, this more of the same is a bit slow for my tastes but I get why people want to play it safe.

According to our latest polls-plus forecast, Ted Cruz has a 48% chance of winning the Iowa caucuses.

According to our latest polls-plus forecast, Hillary Clinton has an 82% chance of winning the Iowa

According to our latest polls-plus forecast, Bernie Sanders has a 61% chance of winning the New Hampshire primary.

According to our latest polls-plus forecast, Donald Trump has a 49% chance of winning the New Hampshire primary

Five Thiry Eight as of yesterday.

Don't joke about a civil war.

Why not? We would be better off if the South fucked off. Actually if we had New England, Teh Dirty Filthy South, South West, Mid West, PNW so we could all do our own thing shit would be better off.

But mostly just the south. I mean how nice would it be if the RW had a place where they could have Biblical law, eliminate all taxes, subjugate women and enslave non whites again?

The rest of us could finally roll one up, get baked have sexy parties, not go to prison for them and treat everyone like human beings without catching any sort of shit about it. Not to mention we could finally start keeping money instead of supporting all the welfare queens in the south too.

One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

One nation....LOL. M'uricuh is a business, a market, not a nation.

Remember that line....for all. Have we provided liberty and justice for all? Has this President provided it for only some? If you tell me this President has served all the people I will call you a liar.

You can't name 1 single elected official in all of US history that has ever served all the people......not 1.

History will remember him as "The Great Divider". Trump will be the uniter because he speaks from.somewhere other than what a teleprompter tells him ti say. Sometimes it is from his ass....but at.least he is tangible. Josh Earnest and Obama are not. Two empty suits. Lead.

Trump won't unite shit, he will just make people within the Republican controlled industries happier than they have been.

He's not a man for this American nor many others. Maybe he is for you but I doubt it.
