Jeb Bush: I would have invaded Iraq

I also said 'our enemies, knowingly.'

There is no bullshit there, my humble opinion without following every political magazine or news channel.
So in your mind, it would have made just as much sense to launch an attack against North Korea because of 9/11?

I'm not a politics guy ... too many assholes who don't listen and too busy talking. The moment we were attacked on our own soil, we needed to invade Iraq and any other country that harbored our enemies knowingly. War has never been that simple though, but those attacks on that scale should have been enough for everyone to say, 'Time to go to war,' but with the present day attitude of 'I'm all that matters' plenty of people who don't give a shit and want to move on.

Why? That's an incredibly stupid policy to hold under any circumstances. It should not have been enough for anybody to want to go to war with anybody harboring our enemines knowingly and in hindsight we may very well have been better off to ignore Afghanistan but that was simply politically impossible and I get that.

It you're stupid opinion. Not humble in the least. You'd have us attack people who had done us little to no harm for shit they had nothing to do with. Saddam was our "enemy" in the sense that he sorta hated everybody on the planet but he didn't get along with terrorists very well. Not only did he have a vested interest in his country not being on fire but he was also fairly secular as folks in that part of the world go so Al Qaeda and the like weren't on his friends list. Attacking him was stupid and pointless and worse created the mess we're in today. There was no upside.

Besides lets take your philosophy to a not so radical end point. Al Qaeda attacks from Afghanistan. We retaliate by attacking Afghanistan for obvious reasons, Saudi Arabia (the majority of the culprits are from there including Bin Laden), Iraq because Saddam lives there, Cuba because they harbor terrorists (until what a month ago that was the 'official' stance of the US truth be damned), North Korea at the very least. Then we hope and prey that no other Middle Eastern Nation jumps in and that China sits back and watches us roll their little buddy?

No decision making for you.

Next quote from Brother Bush:

Got that? No politicizing your faith from now on, Jeb.
Well, that didn't take long.

Jeb Bush made the case for a strong faith element in government during a speech before Christian conservatives this morning, recounting his actions as governor and vowing to make the U.S. a defender of religious freedom around the globe.

"I stood on the side of Terri Schiavo and her parents,” Bush said, recalling his controversial role in the end-of-life case that drew worldwide attention.

"How strange in our time today to hear our faith and our moral traditions spoken as some kind of backwards or oppressive force. When in fact, it is really the moral foundation of our country," Bush said to applause before the Faith & Freedom Coalition gathering.
