Jenny’s house of fun.

So he is kinda hard to like, and I feel like he does not care about people around him.
But it is a really great book about not fitting in to this world and the search for something different. Something pure and real.
It breaks my heart in so many ways, and I really love this book.
The movie was pretty good to, but the book is almost always better.

This book really shook my world. Not always in a good way, but I think with art its more important that you feel something than what you feel.

If you ever get a chance, and it's hard because it's not streaming anywhere - but there's an episode of the 90s television show Millennium that is based on this book 😊

Dear Diary.

Well, that was a failure.
It’s 6.08
Seems like my insomnia really want’s to kick my ass. I did not sleep any more.
I really miss the darkness at home in Sweden. At this time the sun usually goes up about around 9 and down at 2, I miss it. That is really winter for me. Light candles, start a fire, wear slippers and a stolen hotel robe all day. Cuddle, drink glögg, watch shitty movies and fuck.

Anyway, I am up now.
Gonna take my meds, make a big pot of tea and take a long bath. Just lay in the tub, reading, sipping hot black tea and get stoned.

Then make some waffles and blow hubby.

And open my calender!!!

Yeah these Dark Days of Dolor we in the Northern Hemisphere get to play with kinda suck. Damn physics, anyways

I love the darkness.
But it cant be that bad in NY?
I wish it was darker in Minnesota. I miss Sweden.
We're about the same latitude, just a little lower than you folks. So yeah, it's about as bad.

Darkness in its place is great, but cold & dark and miserable weather for ~2/3rd of the day are not things I particularly enjoy. *shrug*

My wife taught English way back when. She used this book for a couple of semesters with her students. There is also a motion picture made about it featuring Emil Hearsch…they stuck to the book and did a good job w the screenplay.
