Jenny’s house of fun.

Was planning on posting a beautiful photo of Minneapolis since I feel like all the focus on my city right now is just negative and I wanted to show something pretty. But like all photos is of our skyline, and honestly it's not very impressive. Not sure why they are pushing our skyline. There are so many other beautiful places.
Anyway, that is me complaining and thinking out loud.
Awwwwww! That seems so sad. I'm glad ICE hasn't invaded my particular location yet, I'm not sure what I'd do if I saw someone get abused by them. Probably end up in jail ☹️

"There is a sadness in realizing that the person you have become is not the person you once wanted to be.
It is the sadness of looking back on your life and seeing all the ways you have compromised, all the dreams you have let go, all the parts of yourself you have lost along the way.
And in that sadness, there is a sense of mourning, not just for the life you could have had, but for the person you could have been."

— T.S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
I bow as a write this, and truly hope you won't take it as arrogant or didactic— but those aren't Eliot’s words. That's someone’s nut-shell interpretation of “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.”

A sampling of the real thing:

I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown
.
(and in it's entirety)

No problem at all, and thank you for correcting.
That is what happens when you find stuff online.

I found that page yesterday. Most of what's there is behind a paywall, but from what I could see, I couldn't believe it was the same artist. Not even remotely similar in style.
I think this is one of his experiments, because he mainly draws comics, which requires a simplified style.
But this picture is credited to him in many places.
