Joe is running.

No, I believe you are the ignorant one. Or perhaps you'd like to discuss the platforms of the major Dem candidates you disparaged. One can only presume you've studied them. They're all staking out various angles on policy. Please enlighten us. Otherwise you're just an ignorant troll.

Tisk tisk with the name calling. You are as ignorant as anyone running against Trump. Sit back, shut the fuck up and enjoy another term of Trump😂

Says the coward who hides behind iggy when shit you don't want to discuss is brought up.

Various angles on policy? Most of them have no such thing.

Sanders (kinda) and Yang are the only people with any ideas on policy....everyone else is just "Orange man bad!! Communism GOOD!!!" NPC's.

Not sure if this is the best thread to ask this but it's never stopped me before so...
You guys ever run any Green Party candidates?

Yea...they never make it very far though.

The greenies have a way of being bat shit insane eco-communist so they never get anywhere, libertarians are more popular and they hardly register.

joe is formidable precicely because he,
more than any other,
innately understands the mechanics of politics
and the apparatus of governance...

and though his retail style of...
(and, yes... i hear the joke machines cranking)
interpersonal, slap your back, whisper in your ear... let's make a deal politics
may be a waning (and labour intensive) art form,
it still has a very viable and productive result.

like ghwb before, joe has personal relationships within
at least a couple of generations
of american and international governance.

people do like joe - even political adversaries

but on the other hand,
he has yet to prove that he is as adept in the "newer" politics;
in the messaging, gramming, instant storming,
that of all of them, the incumbent has by the balls.

unfortunately - and as we have seen - fast media manipulation
will win this race - moreso than any set of traditional issues.
is joe capable of embracing the maelstrom of "fake"?
fake "fake"?
twitter backfires to obscure vulnerability?
lies to obscure other lies?

...utter instant dishonesty to achieve a "greater" goal?

can a candidate now survive being...
slow and deliberate and accountable?

people like joe because he seems rather straightforward
which in the end may be his greatest political liability.

This is a joke right?

Joe has no chance. IMO, his even entering the race was a poorly executed mistake.
Half the country despises him. You can't win with the other half unless you get all of them. The chance of that, Joe being Joe and a complete social imbecile, is slim to none. All Trump needs to do is wait until Joe shafts himself again by saying one of his trademarked "uncle Joe" truisms that showcase HOW MUCH of a complete imbecile he is and then pounce. Believe me, the RNC and all the PAC's are just waiting on it.

And, here's the best part - do you think all the Berniecrats are going to let the DNC "steal" the nomination again?

He has absolutely no chance.

Oh so he will beat Trump, then, since 2/3 of the country despises him. Go Joe!

was this an attempt to answer mine
or just another glancing blow at carping ill formed dicta?

try guiding your justy to another lightly visited ward...
or out into the fresh air, harpy...

even if one were to accept your "imbecile" invective
or the 'deep state' namby narratives,
it's going to take something a bit more cultivated
than that this time...

scream.
yell.
wave your maga cap.

but... change is on the way.

joe ain't hated like donny is...
or as adored perhaps as donny is in some quarters like yours.
he is no hillary though - which is a major political plus.

this is not the same race as 2016 - not by a long shot.

bernie is still an outsider.
and though he still can charge a crowd
that crowd has never been politically heavy.
the 'better' political parts of his mantle
have been effectively usurped into other's candidacies...

even imbecilic joe is not deafened to that part of the... 'movement'.

i haven't a candidate yet.
i shill for no one.
what i do though
is consider the field and how in the fluid it forms...

your guy is a basket full of liability;
ridiculously politically dangerous if for nothing but that...

as for joe, his achilles heal in this candidacy may be
what at this point - per his announcement vid -
is his straightforward unabashed goal to beat evil trump now
and figure out the governance shit later.

joe's moments?
trump's moments...?

put them side by side under a dime store microscope...
put them side by side under a 20 watt bulb.

it's how they're spun...
and admittedly, trump seems to be a master.
if joe can learn to cultivate the new machines,
he becomes formidable, viable and electable.

i would say he got himself killed through his own hubris more than he killed himself as that phrase implies intent.

He's raising money like JEB! and as cleaver points out, he has the same skill set.

:)

The question here is, once selected by big money and having put down the far left
as per the desires of the old-boy network...

Does he keep the real enthusiasm alive now in the party,
Enthusiastic enough to vote?

Also, right now, in the moment with ~20 candidates in the field
as he slays those young dragons,

where will their voters go next?
Who is the last person standing.
JOE! ?

Regardless of your non-choice choice, Joe has no chance. Half the D's won't vote for him. A recent poll showed that they'll either stay home or voted for Trump if Bernie doesn't get the nomination. Which leaves him with just 1/4 of the possible voters because sure as hell he's not going to get many converts from the R's who are supporting Trump.

And, as I said, his jumping in at this point in time was probably the dumbest and most ill-planned idea possible. Early front runners almost never get the nomination. Which is to say that the chance of Joe being the D candidate is about nil. The reason for it is that the early front runner gets the microscope treatment for longer than the others. Thus, there is more time to find and expose the flaws which inevitably sink the front runner's chances.

Joe's flaws are legion. He's had 40 years of public service to show them off. Trump is now seasoned at this game and the voters know how the current US economy and policies are shaping up. Joe will not win with an "anything but Trump" campaign that attempts to undo the current prosperity and confidence of the American voter.

He has no chance.

Oh so he will beat Trump, then, since 2/3 of the country despises him. Go Joe!

Based on the outcome of the 2016 election, and current polling data which hasn't moved much in the last 2 years, half the voters still support Trump. Recent polling also shows that unless Bernie is the Candidate, those voters will either stay home or vote Trump. Which costs Joe those votes while increasing Trump's percentages.

Facts matter. Joe has no chance. That's not just my opinion, it's what the data is telling us.

Wrong in so many ways.

Trump is at 37 % approval.

And youre in the same la la land as Bitter Scumbag when it comes to "knowing" how Ds will vote.

Bottom line Dems will vote their nominee. You can cling to this Bernie Divide but well have had 4 yrs of Trump. Different world.

I'm not the one "clinging" to it.

Trump's approval. is higher than, but not much higher than, his approval rating WHEN HE WON THE ELECTION.

At some point you have to ask yourself - did anything change with the voters between then and now? And in what way?

If Bernie isn't the nominee, it'll be the 2016 election all over again. 25% of D's will either stay home or vote for Trump.

If any of the others, except Biden, are the nominee, they'll hand Trump a win because they can't attract those voters in the middle.

Biden can't win. It's plain and simple that he's made 40 years of bad decisions for which he has already started his apology tour over in an effort to try to attract the lunatic fringe element of the D party. He has NOTHING in his campaign which will attract any of the Trump voters. Unless he can draw voters in the middle away from Trump, he cannot win.

Middle America doesn't like his policies on guns, religion, abortion, general overall creepiness, and so on. Suburbs which may be in play won't like his stance on the economy.

So, tell us, where is Joe going to get enough voters to defeat Trump if he loses the Berniecrats and can't attract Independents and moderates?

B-b-b-b-b-but...

He's going to make America great again.
He might be struggling a bit on the actual slogan at this point.

Maybe: I'm NOT TRUMP!

So lets see, Trump can win with 37% approval but Biden cant if half the country despises him. That makes so much sense.

Well yeah--Trump won. Thats whats different. ALL Dems will vote to get the Orange stink out of the WH, even the Berniecrats. If youre betting on D divisions youre nuts. Its not 2016 again. It will be historic turn out just like the Midterms. There has never been a Pres this hated.

Biden has always had strong support among wwc. PA is his. OH great shot. Everybody says hes who Rs and T fear the most. Must be because he has no chance, yeah that's it.

But it doesnt matter because I dont think he'll be the nominee. Neither will Bernie.
