Joe is running.

Not surprising that BettyPoop/CarnalFlower/BadBabysitter would find the fragrance of oranges more offensive to the olfactory senses than, say, actual shit.

So lets see, Trump can win with 37% approval but Biden cant if half the country despises him. That makes so much sense.

Well yeah--Trump won. Thats whats different. ALL Dems will vote to get the Orange stink out of the WH, even the Berniecrats. If youre betting on D divisions youre nuts. Its not 2016 again. It will be historic turn out just like the Midterms. There has never been a Pres this hated.

Biden has always had strong support among wwc. PA is his. OH great shot. Everybody says hes who Rs and T fear the most. Must be because he has no chance, yeah that's it.

But it doesnt matter because I dont think he'll be the nominee. Neither will Bernie.

Approval ratings and VOTES are 2 different things.

Trump's approval rating at the time of the election was 37.5 %.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president/clintontrumpfavorability.html

With basically the SAME approval rating as he has now, Trump won the election with 47.5% of the popular vote and 306 votes in the electoral College.

Nothing's changed. Trump's approval rating is the same. His base is the same. The issues are the same. He still has half the voters on his side. Unless the D's can field a candidate who can peel off some of those voters, he's going to win reelection.

There are no D candidates who can do that. None of the fringe, nor Bernie or Biden. There are no candidates that I can see waiting in the wings to jump in early next year to take over the race either.

Approval does not equal votes, ok, then why did you cite "half the country despising him" as proof that Biden cant win?

Meanwhile you go on to use Approval Rating precisely as an indication that everything is the exact same and Trump will win. So approval does equal votes, according to you. Except when it doesn't.

Do you want to walk back your "half the country despises him?"

As I said, approval ratings aren't votes. But, as usual, you confuse and conflate things in order to try to hammer out some kind of twisted meaning so you can bash and flame.

HALF THE COUNTRY (meaning voters who turned out) voted for Trump. That's an indicator that they aren't in Biden's corner especially since the polling data hasn't changed much. Those who voted for Trump are still in Trump's win column.

OTOH, Biden is polling WORSE THAN Trump is. That's another indicator that people don't like him and aren't gong to vote for him.

Finally, his creepy escapades in hair sniffing didn't set well with a majority of the people he needs to convince he's the better candidate.

I'd say, given the above, that 50% of the voters, possibly more, aren't viewing Biden favorably.

So, no, I'm not walking anything back.

Butt BUTT TRUMP!!!

/CarnalFlower mode.

LOL the TDS just gets worse and worse.

I want him to win in 2020 just so I can watch the left really lose their shit.

How can Biden be polling worse than Trump at 50/50 vs. 37/63?

"a complete social imbecile"

okay, biden's social awareness and behaviour are somewhat dated - enough to make a whole lot of people uncomfortable though, i believe, most realise it's through the age-gap bubble and not malicious intent that this happens. still, not good and a vote-loser.

but if you're putting him down for his social ineptness, then he STILL trumps trump hands down.

almost every damned thing that comes out of trump's mouth (unless he's sticking strictly to the scripts written for him) is socially offensive, whether it's insulting ex-servicemen, women, the physically or mentally challenged, the people whose skin isn't quite pale enough, those whose religious beliefs don't match his own, people whose incomes are basic, sick people, political opponents, reporters for print/tv, people who believe in the truth, and the list goes on. endlessly.

100% agree.

ONLY from the perspective of the professionally offended/outrage culture warriors.

The other 80% of the population doesn't come unhinged from reality every time he does something man pig and at least half just laugh about it.

Most of us consider it far less offensive than the ideas of communism and letting convicted murderers and terrorist vote among some other truly bat shit anti-American garbage being pushed by the left.

Pretty stupid to put Charlottesville as the centerpiece of his campaign. Just because the media has been misquoting Trump for years on that and the usual TDS contingent buys into it does not mean that the independents he needs won't see the difference with the full quote.

HALF THE COUNTRY (meaning voters who turned out) voted for Trump.

Blatant bullshit.

What compels you Trumpettes to blatantly and outrageously lie about simply everything? Simple math tells us all that more than half the voters who turned out didn't vote for Trump. A significant more voters who turned out voted for Clinton than voted for Trump, so he can't reach half the voters on that basis alone. And there were other people besides Trump and Clinton in the race who got votes. Why can't you acknowledge that, on popular vote basis--which is the basis you provide here--Trump is a minority vote president? It's simple math, bubba. You're the one who asserted a lie on this.

On slavery reparations:

"I don't feel responsible for the sins of my father and grandfather...I'll be damned if I feel responsible to pay for what happened 300 years ago." - Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.

I finally get Trump's "Sleepy Joe" moniker. He's pointing out that Joe ain't been "woke."

Over half of voters did not vote for Hillary either, and and has been pointed out to you repeatedly, running up the score in California, which no Republican Candidate would bother to campaign in has zero effect on the outcome of the Election.

Import another couple of million voters to California if you like. -still won't make any difference at all.

If Trump gets re-elected and California's vote tally puts his opponent's popular vote higher, are you going to spend another four years whingeing about how he "only" won because of the EC?

I'm not the one "clinging" to it.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...ck-trump-if-their-man-isnt-democratic-nominee

Trump's approval. is higher than, but not much higher than, his approval rating WHEN HE WON THE ELECTION.

At some point you have to ask yourself - did anything change with the voters between then and now? And in what way?

If Bernie isn't the nominee, it'll be the 2016 election all over again. 25% of D's will either stay home or vote for Trump.

If any of the others, except Biden, are the nominee, they'll hand Trump a win because they can't attract those voters in the middle.

Biden can't win. It's plain and simple that he's made 40 years of bad decisions for which he has already started his apology tour over in an effort to try to attract the lunatic fringe element of the D party. He has NOTHING in his campaign which will attract any of the Trump voters. Unless he can draw voters in the middle away from Trump, he cannot win.

Middle America doesn't like his policies on guns, religion, abortion, general overall creepiness, and so on. Suburbs which may be in play won't like his stance on the economy.

So, tell us, where is Joe going to get enough voters to defeat Trump if he loses the Berniecrats and can't attract Independents and moderates?

and yes. you cling to the washington examiner... which...
is just a bit south of fox.

biden may not win. ok
biden may not be the nominee. fine.
biden was the last in... far from being under the early microscope... which...
has already begun to parse the low hanging fruit.

bernie will not win. ok?
bernie will not be the nominee.
bernie has not stopped running and still excites a very soft following.
you may wave bernie as a false flag bloody rag but...

the airing of his concerns re: disparity and insensitivity have resonance...
especially to traditional middle class cheque to cheques
who felt absolutely raped by the trump tax returns they were promised
and did not really get...

i want you to also consider the fringe trump voters in 2016
who hated hillary - wanted their vote to "count" - held their nose
and gave 'the brand' his victory...

most of them won't re-endorse.
vulgar is, after all, indeed vulgar.

you want to count on this economy?
fine. hold tight.

remember those tax cuts? the ones that shocked most of us at tax time?
the ones that put a few extra bucks in pay cheques each week...
not enough to really save... but a few more to spend immediately...
what would in other instances be a form of quantitative easing...
a continued priming of the economic pump -
long after the economic well had begun to produce?

ask your neighbors where they are going on vacation this summer?
the vacation they used to pay for
with the self-imposed savings they always expected in april...

where did their money go?
ask bob eiger.
roy disney's daughter is.... walt's neice...

you really think the assault on the 1% is done?
better it be addressed democratically than through slow and nasty insurrection?
why indeed do you think "socialist" ideas begin to... vibrate?

the economy - for this and many other reasons is a chimera.
the disparity levels have done nothing but widen... by fiat.

wanna wave the dow?
that lagging indicator of what the "fortunate" made last quarter?
go ahead...
be also prepared to lend your neighbors a tent and your rusty coleman stove
for that vacay...

hold tight to that as you watch the process play out.

how indeed can you claim "the middle" in this election
when the president claimed their hard earned coffers as low hanging fruit?
yeah.
the middle is looking for a change.

joe biden offers a retrenchment perhaps... a pause
from the day to day insanity
of 4am fucked up tweets
and middle american backsliding...

and
he also offers international capitals... a pause
from... apparent instability.
our international standing now is an open and dangerous joke.

look.
i can respect your fervor.
but i truly believe it is erroneously invested...

if not joe, then one of them... one of the 20.
one of them will survive the grinder,
will refine their message
and will slay the drumf-gan...

the process, at this point is the interesting show.
the who, if not joe... comes with a bit of patience.

He said it and everyone knows he said it.

But let's say he didn't. Since when do you Trumpers care about lies???:confused:

It's one of those things like the separation of powers and rule of law you've shitcanned with the Orange Dotard, and can never complain about again. Of if you do, you'll just get laughed at.

Quote him saying that, nimrod.

"Everyone knows it?"

That, there, is your problem. You "know" a lot of things that just ain't so.

The goal post went from he did not jump to conclusions fast enough and condemn person or persons unknown about a protest where violence was initiated by antifa and resulted in a death when a man, who seems to be a white nationalist plowed into a crowd.

Trump correctly pointed out that southerners protesting the tearing down of statutes had an actual permit to protest, the counter protesters did not.

His "fine people" comment was specifically allowing that there were people of good faith on the COUNTER PROTEST side who were not necessarily aligned with antifa.

He specifically condemned Nazis.

Educate yourself:

Lots of cross-talk, lots of reporters trying to put words in his mouth, lots of clarification from him AT THE TIME that he was in no way saying what you are claiming he did.

What you started with is a Genetic Fallacy because, rather than debate the merits of the content of the citation, you dissed the source as a way to dismiss the argument. This is the basis for the Genetic Fallacy.

It went downhill from there.

The problem they have with Trump is he does not speak in effective sound bites. He eventually works his way around to the point of whatever it is he's trying to say and if you're not willing to give him that much are time he's also not going to give you a concise sound bite that's going to make any sense when you pull it out of context.

What you are left with is a bunch of things that everybody knows he said according to the liberal media but none of those things can make it into a campaign ad because you can't find a quote saying what they said he said. Which leaves Independence wondering why does everybody know he said that but yet they can't seem to pull the actual quote? .. Ever.

That's about the best description of the disconnect that exists between Trump the media and the hapless left I've heard yet.;)
