Do you feel you are or would be judged for posting on certain threads throughout the Lit boards?

This is something I struggled with for years on here, should I or shouldnā€™t I post? If be had some salacious posts Iā€™ve made thrown back in my face and was most definitely judged. Has that happened to you? Or are you the one doing the judging?

When I first started coming here, I felt that way but now I don't really care if they judge me or not and with a username like mine, they're going to judge unless they're into it lol
Thatā€™s how Iā€™ve gotten as well. I donā€™t give a fuck anymore but now Iā€™m wondering how many connections I missed out on from being afraid to post. The world may never knowā€¦

Absolutely!

I think that after so many years of being here people see me as a certain way, so in my head I feel like I have to ā€œstay in my laneā€. Which I guess is weird because thatā€™s why I come to Lit because I ALWAYS maintain the ā€œgood girlā€ appearance in real life and want to stray from that..I havenā€™t done a great job of that I guess.

I wonder too if the women here feel this way more than the men?

I don't want to speak for anyone else so I'll avoid the men vs women question, but I have definitely felt judged and definitely been judged many times here for posting in some of the threads and even as I've gotten more comfortable there still are some I avoid. I don't know that I think it's a Lit specific thing - the world is full of very judgemental people everywhere unfortunately.

I wonder this as well. I know when someone used their judgy pants on me a few years ago it was another woman.

It was just a thought rolling around in my head this morning when I was on the Fetish and Sexuality board.

I do what I want.

There are threads I avoid but mostly cause I know the sense of humor and/or type of energy I bring ainā€™t what theyā€™re about and I try to be respectful, unless itā€™s REALLY funny.

But as others have touched on, if I canā€™t be true to myself here where the fuck can I be?

I never judge just embrace, and this is a place you should feel safe to explore your every desire. Leave those who judge behind.

Absolutely, 100% fear the judgement of posting in certain areas of Lit so I don't. Even though this is an "open minded and safe place" for all things erotic, that doesn't always work that way. Since I've played it mostly safe, I don't believe I've encountered it personally. However, I've definitely seen people get treated poorly for what they've posted and what they've shared.

Everyone judges. All the time.
Anyone who claims not to isn't being honest with themselves. Or they just haven't spent enough time in reflection to be aware they are doing it.
It's inadvertent. It's just part of being a member of our shared species.

The issue isn't with judgement.
Judgement from one individual to another, especially between people who are essentially strangers, is irrelevant.

The problem with an individual judging another, especially in open forums like this one, is the often malicious attempt to isolate, influence or cause harm to another based on their character, actions or feelings.

Make your judgements carefully and in silence, then choose to associate or disassociate.

No

I am usually the Judgemental one, but I learned to let people be and mind my business

I know most sane people stay away from the Politics Board, but it's so infested with incel Proud Boy wannabes, Trumpies and homophobes, I've taken to just dropping pics of my ass into particularly obnoxious threads.

Let em judge and call names like the kindergarten-level intelligences they are, I don't give a fuck and enjoy getting a rise out of them šŸ¤£

After my first post/ thread here, it was all up hill.

I donā€™t mind if someone judges me.
Sometimes I post in far off, provocative threads on Lit just to see if anyone is stalking and judging me.
So far, no one is. šŸ¤£

Yes and I have...done ppl start threads w the specific purpose of shaming and harassing u for answering honestly...

It IS called Literotica so I figure anyone who is on here is in touch, touching or finding their sexuality traits.
I see forums as a big ole "Adult" shop. I know some people are doing just about everything in that back section, I see folks shopping in the anal section. There's a section for every type of couple and there's a spot for solo masturbation. Some people are looking at lingerie and some the "good" handcuffs. Some people like movies and I'm just here for the hetro vanilla magazines because I was born in the 70s.

I totally enjoy chatting and joking with everyone I've seen in line for the checkout and we shouldn't be judged because everyone has a thing.
