Justice League: Next (OOC)

Cool character -- good looking out. But I think more than anything, I'm yearning for the "he's so real it hurts" struggles/feelings that Peter gives off just by being himself and trying to do the right thing. I'm not looking to just play anyone here....I'm looking to TOTALLY immerse myself in the character...and its HIM that is calling to my soul!!!!

In fact, I might have to Spectacular Spider-Man it up or Sam Raimi trilogy it up -- BOTH marathon style come Saturday dammit!!!!

...this will be a complete one eighty from Impulse, but then again...it's supposed to be!

Yeah but a minor one. Cheshire turned out to be perhaps not "Good" but someone you could count on in that series. Besides nothing causes a Heel/Face turn quite like having your planet relocated to a random sector of who-knows-istan. Especially if you're far enough up the food chain to really grasp what that means.

I imagine the average citizen of the Earth doesn't really have a grasp on what it means that there are 3600 Green Lanterns and you don't have one cus your that far gone.

Heh. For me personally, mm. I'm more of a Marvel-esque fanatic. In *DC*, I looooove Young Justice -- from the Peter David/Todd Nauck comics *points to his sig* -- and of course the slightly altered and inspired cartoon with the same name! Superboy is my second fave character behind Gambit. Uhm....Batman. Hmm....I...I "respect" him. The character. I was rooting AGAINST him in the movie that just came out -- because I like Clark and his *HEART* way more! -- I suppose what bugs me about Bruce and the comics surrounding him...is that he SOMEHOW always is able to win, find a way to win, etc etc...even though he has NO POWERS! That bothers me. A teeeeeensy bit. Not gonna lie

By the same token, I thought Ben Affleck did a phenomenal job portraying him and was my favorite interpretation thus far!

But yeah. For the record. Personality. Story. Heart. Powers. And interest for me and me only = Spider-Man > Batman

Like if we did the 'wormhole/crossover' theme, maybe on one *multiverse/world* could be my Peter, and then the next could be your Gwen -- which could create INSTANT dramatic storytelling! That's if you'd be interested in something, dare I say, sensational like that....and if we had the theme to go with it(if we didn't, I'm sure we could work something else out)

...that being said, I'm completely looking forward to Jared Leto's NEW take and incarnation on the character come this August, because...if anyone can do a "follow up"...its him! And I'm a HUUUUGE fan of his work as well(movies and music!)

I thought Christian Bale was at his WORST in that second movie though....*cringes at the thought*

Though, even if he plays the character well, I can't forgive the ridiculous tattoos and clean cut appearance. Yes!!! Joker doesn't have fucking tattoos! And "Ha ha ha ha"? The Joker? The Joker? is going to tattoo something as boring as Ha on his skin? If he were to have tats they'd be crazy and original and cool! Not Ha ha ha. Plus Leto doesn't wear a suit. Joker wears a fucking suit! Since day one! Not a stupid pimp coat.

They're going off different interpretations on the character however. But we'll see I suppose, when the movie comes out. I'm hoping for the best!

Oh dear god no. I'm not even sure he was Joker instead of some green haired loon. I'm assuming just so I don't have to teleport through wires to strangle you that Mark Hamill is out because animated Joker isn't Joker. Arbitrary rule is arbitrary but meh enough people accept it that I won't argue that.

I would still probably give the nod to Nicholson though. Heath just lucked into dying.
