Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

I had technical difficulties yesterday, but things are looking better today, knock on wood. Love it when I can tie up loose ends organically within current events!

I hope everyone is having a Blessed Holiday.

Gonna have a little supper and then start in on Rose's post, and this is the big daunting one.

Still trying to motivate myself to start cooking

I had a post with Tanha meeting up with Lisa in the "Mirror Dimension" that Lisa ended up in rolling around in my head for a week now... need to get on that

Christmas eve, pizza for five. Christmas night? A friend of mine did the Classic Christmas dinner for me and mine as our Christmas present. A full traditional Christmas dinner. Turkey. Country ham. All the fixings including things such as fried okra (yum), mashed tatters and gravy, stuffing, and so many others including fried apples. Precede that with the best Christmas present from an ex ever, the leather bound copy of the Guide to Skyrim and I am a very happy lady.

rice and ragu. Italian seasoning.

kinda like Spanish rice..Italian style.

Christmas breakfast? Sleep

Christmas lunch? Two spoons of sweet potatoe, six spoons of pasta salad and three spoons of meat

Christmas dinner? Nope

Time to flock the ravens. Post incoming

What do you mean by this:

With eyes of Fire The Demon Xarathos replied, Mind to Mind. ‘There is no Hope for the Damned. I have been judged by GOD! Betrayer. Deceiver. Outcast. Defiler. Xarathiel is no more. I AM XARATHOS, Spirit of VENGEANCE. I.. understand and accept that now. There is no Hope for me. I am damned for all eternity.’ Turning it’s gaze upon the gnat in it’s hand the demon began to get hotter, the ground beneath it becoming a puddle of molten stone, tar, concrete, and metal. The demon didn’t sink as abandoned vehicles burst into flames and melted.

The only thing that had saved everyone so far was it’s binding. Still bound by THE WORD. But once innocent blood touched the ground. Once innocent blood was spilled. Well, all bets were off, and it was going to be HELL on Earth.

Has the Rider spilled innocent blood yet? Did I miss something?

Is the Rider turning on us (e.g. First come first served?) Or going for biggest offender first?

Is it redemption or going back?

guess we'll find out when it happens.

Well most of the heros haven't done any of the deadly sins. Milton is a college professor. But I think only Night wing hasn't ever killed anyone. I'm pretty sure there aren't any exemptions in the ten commandments for killing... So Gar is not so innocent.

I did find it funny that nightwing is the highest mortality figure in our little group.

Thea has not always been a good girl....... She did wipe out a mafia family.....

A fact that is not lost on Damian. Granted he is more experienced now and has been with his father and "brothers" for more time then he was with his grandfather.

On a side note I've been watching one of my favorite old shows. And damn even after all these years I love Ms. Parker from The Pretender.

I confess to having my own small crush on Ms. Parker.

But not, oddly, on Jarrod. He always just looked a little... weird to me.

I did crush on both Profilers, though, when they crossed over. More on the redhead than the blonde.

I am, much to my chagrin, messaging WiredIn today to give him the standard inactivity warning previously agreed-upon in the OOC.

If he doesn't post as Static or at least send an OOC message saying where he's at by January 3rd, I'm going to start phasing out his character.

Damn shame, but that's the way these things go, I guess.

Yeah it's weird I'm watching it and thinking... "Damn Andrea Parker would have made a hell of a Lois Lane."

The Pretender, That's the one with the guy who could basically become anything he wanted right? Doctor, Lawyer, Racecar driver, Pilot etc.

Was used as a kid in a government project but escaped and now she is hunting him down.

Exactly right.

I loved the concept and stole it for more than one of my OCs at the time-- I loved the idea that a person could be smart enough to method-act whole careers and skillsets.

And I loved the exchange: "Are you a doctor?" "...I am today." For some reason that seriously stuck with me.

Yeah I know I have used him as the basis for a superhero on one occasion. I mean that concept was just begging for it.

Someone that can observe someone and then copy their skill set so precisely, Tell me that doesn't belong in the Superhero Genre. LOL

Well, there's Taskmaster, on the villain side, with "photographic reflexes." And Finesse from Avengers Academy, who partly inspired the Moonwing that appeared briefly in this thread.

One of the characters from "Heroes" had a thing called "muscle memory," I forget her name, she was one of the meh additions to the cast from Season 2.

Didn't Connor Hawke have a martial artist equivalent at one point? Like he knew a martial art that let him copy people's moves, making him potentially even more dangerous than Batman in a fight? It was briefly mentioned but I don't think they used it for much mileage outside of Chuck Dixon's work.

Same here.

for clarification. Ghost Rider was bestowed THE WORD of Vengeance. Hense it's name, it's purpose is Vengeance. As decreed by God. This event took place when Cain (Qayin) slew Abel (Heḇel). The First Murder. "Thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." Hense spilled blood. Not just beating the tar out of someone, or stealing their candy.

A Mortal sin. (By a Human)

By my definition.

This is: Murder. Rape. Deals with the Fallen Ones. (Demon pacts or deals with Lucifer)

Luthor is technically outside of Ghost Riders touch, until/unless he commits Murder, Rape, demon pact.

Yes there are a lot of other sins out there. But those are not within the Riders power to punish.

Hopefully this provides enough spoilers for people.
