Well, I feel pretty good about my productivity tonight. Phew!

Tomorrow I'm a bit busier but I'm hoping to get an Interlude out sometime this week, and I'll do my best to roll with responses as they come.

While I confess that Pulido's version has a certain pallid pulchritude that I find carnally appealing, I have been legit in love with Death of The Endless for almost 20 years.
 
Additionally, folks, I'd like responses to the deepest darkest fear thing, as Spectrumonster is bathing the combatants with Sinestro Light.

You can tell me here, via PM, or in IC responses, but what are your characters scared of?

Kiz: when you say that RP!Kiz' Demense is drawing in the light of Spectrumonster, is it just the Yellow Light that it's emitting right now, or all the Emotional Electromagnetic Light that composes its psychophotonic "body?" If it's the latter, could it escape by using Green energy to accelerate faster than light, or would The Void still omnomnom it anyway?

Short answer is I have no idea. Feel free to do whatever you think. There's a few things going on in my head as I was working through the scene. I imagine that once caught, most wolves recourse is to hope something more powerful comes along and frees them or to chew off their own leg.

First, Unveiling or Manifesting his Demense is the spiritual, extra-dimensional place where all his creatures are stored. I had a thought that it was much cheaper to park that insomeone else's lands, which is where the Endless (and other places) come into place. For those of the Void, since they have a natural affiliation with the Endless (per Gaiman!), it made sense to me that it would often time be effectively "leasing" some space from one of the Endless. For Lisa, if things progress, Death makes the most sense. So much like Danny is an extra-dimensional "city block" that is both here and not here (e.g. Marvel balls up the entire city block into a brick), well Kiz's Demense is the same deal. Its in the description I wrote up. It's a large land of desolate trees and steel gray skies. A large castle in the center. In the center of the castle is a vast tree (e.g. Yggdrasil) in the middle. Anyway, manifesting it in Creation would be a way to give our team a defensible position and allow us to focus on ranged attacks. Also boost Rose's abilities, at least the Dream related ones. And of course Kiz's own abilities. It's just not normally allowed, because he needs the permission of Dream of the Endless to do...and Dream almost never gives that permission (because mortals aren't supposed to know about the Dreaming...but I felt that metahumans were or could be exempt)...plus Rose being in danger. Dunno, I was playing around with a way for Kiz to help out but not overshadow others.

Second, The Spectrum Monster's Yellow Beam. I was thinking for a while that Kiz should be a pretty good response to a being of pure light, I just wasn't sure how. Then it occurred to me that the Yellow Beam is really trying to establish a connection with everyone it touches. So while its intended purpose is to use the Yellow Lantern for fear, it's also an opening for someone like Kiz to turn the tables. As to whether or not it would take some or all of the monster, I think it depends on the pacing of the scene and how fine a grain control of itself that the Spectrum Monster has.

It's a struggle on my end to do cool things but not outshine others but still be one of the more powerful characters. So I was thinking for along time how would Kiz trap a being of pure light. Most attacks (attempts to reach out to it) could be blocked and most abilities it does could be considered self contained (e.g. Energy constructs ala Green Lantern). However the Yellow Psychic Beam seemed like a mistake or an opening because it's intimately tied to the Spectrum Monster.

I've had an idea about duels and dueling in a formal level, so I felt that could be something special, like a ritual or opening to tame, control, or destroy either the Spectrumonster or Kiz. Although I assumed I had to take out the Spectrumonster's handler to make an opening for total control (if I wanted to take it as a Void Binding like the other nightmares Kiz has gotten over the years.

Dunno. Still working things out, I'm just really happy with how that post came together.

I'm going to do my best to reply to Thea and Garfield before bed (the time for which is rapidly encroaching), and then I'll try to reply to Kiz tomorrow once I've had a chance to visualize a little more.

Tearing off a speedster's leg.

So is it possible to catch a speedster by surprise. I know in the early episodes of flash that the Arrow did something like this when he setup an ambush.

But I've been thinking for awhile that if Kiz gave Velocity the Lasher Staff and during a chase, Velocity put it on the Purple Streaks leg...could the purple streak stop in time (assuming the purple streak was unable to rip the staff from the ground)?

Also, I think I've asked this before...but Speedsters don't have super reflexes, when not going at speed they can be surprised? I was an episode of Flash season 2 where this happens a few times. If a speedster sees it coming, they can dodge (e.g. A guy firing a gun at them) or if they are already going at Mach4 -> Speed of Light then. Things are already in bullet time for them. But otherwise, its fair game?
