Knuckleball (Closed)

"That won't happen ever as your boyfriend I have duties. One of them is not expose your imperfections and accept them. I'm not prefect and as long as your able to live with me then I'll do the same." He picked her chin up to look at him. "The pace is fine as long as it doesn't ruin us ok?"

He put his hands on her shoulders looking at the floor. "I know and I'm not going to take advantage of your time." He said looking at her he kissed her again. "I'll see ya later. Call me when you get out." He took her hand walking her to the door opening it. "I love you."

"I'll never leave you, I promise..." She said giving him a quick kiss "I love you too much." Bella sighed "I wish you didn't have to go..."

"Alright. I love you too." She said walking out the door "you might want to put some clothes on..." She said as she left, starting to walk own the street.

" I wish I didn't have to leave either, but it's my job. Just because I say that doesn't mean that you don't come first though." He liked the small kiss even if it was fast it showed that she cares about him. "We're here, Are you sure you're hungry because I can wait?"

He watched the voluptuous body disappear on to the street. She was right about putting on clothes. He change into his workout clothes deciding to go the gym. Arriving he started his training, but was also thinking on how to clear his mind about Natasha. He did love her, but he didn't want to disappoint her about their future. Why couldn't she stay a friend he thought.

"I could eat... Unless you have a reason to wait. Maybe we should go get my work stuff done... It'll just take a couple of minutes and its right down the street..." She said as she started walking down the street.

Natasha rushed into her apartment, ignoring her roommate who was practically passed out on the couch. Closing the door to her bedroom behind her she leaned against it. Why didn't she tell him sooner, maybe then things would be better. Why did she wait until things had already been messed up. She sighed laying down on her bed. She loved him, she always had. Everything she told him was the truth but he would never believe her if she told him what was going on.

He didn't really have a choose as she walked down the street. "So why does the museum hand you so much work. I mean this easy, but I mean they made you work late. Or was that you asking for work?"

Anthony was on the treadmill jogging on it for a while. During that time he was wondering what Natasha was doing right now. Sure had told Anthony she had to get ready for a work, but thought that was a lie to go home. Finishing 10 laps on the machine he headed to the locker room. To get some cash for more water, but his phone caught his eye. Wondering if he should call or text. He picked up the phone. "Are you ok?" Send he regretted the decision because this was his time to clear his head. He headed back to the gym going to the weights. Trying to prevent the urges to see if she texted back.

"I would do whatever they needed when I started and then they have just kept on giving me more work." She said "my boss is leaving in a couple of weeks so now he's looking for a replacement... I was hoping to get the job but since I'm skipping I think I'm out of the running..."

Looking at her phone she wondered what to say. "I'm fine." She finally replied back. Getting up she started to gather her clothes for work. She had to tell him "can I meet you at your place after work? Late dinner? I'll bring food." She texted him before getting into the shower. She tried to relax, maybe it wasn't such a big deal, maybe he would be happy about it. She sighed knowing he wouldn't be, he'd be upset and mad, he didn't want this.

Hearing her speak it sounded like they were taking advantage of her until she said she wanted to be in charge. It made him feel guilty for making her stay instead of working. "I'm sorry look you can go back to work tomorrow. Say your feeling better and I'll take you out after work." He look at the ground obviously not meaning what he was saying.

He did want to be with her, but maybe not the way she wanted with him. After another a hour or so he made up his mind to check his phone. He thought it was lie seeing she replied with "I'm Fine", but he noticed there was another message. That was strange they had never just had invited each other to their homes unless it was a late night booty call. "Yeah come on over." He replied before going back to exercise some more.

"It's alright. I'll stay home, I never take a day off... Two days with you is worth it." She said stopping in front of the jewelry store. "It was my choice." She said before walking in.

She looked at her phone when she had finished her shower. Getting dressed she thought about how he would react again. Maybe it was better to not tell him, but he would find out eventually. He had a right to know. She finished getting ready and quickly left, maybe work would take her mind off of it for a while.

It wasn't satisfying anwser, but he smiled shaking his head. He watched her enter the store, before following her inside. Looking at all the jewelry picturing some of them on her. "I'm going to look around don't take to long." He remarked.

His mind fluttered about there date tonight. He still had to get home and clean not to mention question her on why having a late dinner. This would probably a discussion more than sex. After another hour he headed home. Putting his workout clothes in the washer he went to take a shower.

"I shouldn't be too long." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek "I love you..." She said before going into the back.

She got to the restaurant and quickly got to work. Waitressing definitely want her first choice but it was something. She just wanted to go home and crawl in bed. Finally her shift ended. She grabbed a pizza and started heading back towards his place.

Giving her a kiss back, "I love you, too." He watched her go into the back wandering the store. It was a shame even though have been dating he didn't know Bella's birthday. Which is why he just bought her a diamond necklace instead of something with her birthstone. He waited for her to come back.

After the shower he wondered how much time he had before she arrived. He decided to pick up a little making a spot clear for them to eat. He was finish a few minutes that he just sat on the couch watching on the T.V. He kind of thought why she arranged this, but he didn't care as long as she was ok.

After a few minutes she walked back out "are you ready to go?" She asked walking up to him "I'm going to have to come back another time to pick everything up. Still want to go eat?"

Natasha knocked on the door a little while later. She took a deep breath trying to stay calm as she waited for him to answer the door.

It didn't take long for her to return. "Yeah I'm hungry lets go." Opening the door for her as they got back on the street. "Bella I have to ask when's your birthday?"

He heard the faint knock showing her arrival. He didn't waste time in opening the door with a pizza in her hand. He smiled giving a kiss to her cheek. Taking the pizza from her. "So why the late dinner?"

"August 3rd..." She said taking his hand "what about yours?" She asked feeling a little silly that she hadn't thought to ask him earlier. "I guess I didn't think about that..."

"I just thought we should talk." She said walking in and sitting down on the couch "things are changing between us and I think we should discuss it..." She was clearly nervous which wasn't like her at all "um... Could I have a drink?"

August 3rd he told himself to research for her stone. Not wanting to ask her so he wouldn't ruin the surprise in case he got her a gift. "September 18th. Don't worry we're just learning more about each other." Ensuring her it was alright to ask questions about each other.

She rushed to sit on the couch before he could even close the door. He followed behind putting the pizza in the table in front of them. There was something fishy judging by the sound of her voice. "No, Natasha something is going on tell me." He didn't want to beat around the bush.

"Okay... Well what is your favorite color? Animal? Type of movie?" She asked bombarding him with questions "do you have any siblings? Cats or dogs? Favorite season?"

She sighed "everything I've said to you is completely true. And I know I should have told you sooner... Before this happened, so please don't think that any of what I said was just because I found out that I..." She paused looking away from him, it was even harder to say it that she thought "I'm... We are... Having a baby..." She spit out wanting to run for the door before he had a chance to react.

"Slow down I'll anwser them while we eat." He said they arrived and entered the establishment. Taking a seat they waited to be serve. "Alright. Red, Dog, Comedy, 2, Dogs, and winter. What about you?"

He knew as she mention why she told him about why she loved him. The look as is she was frighten not looking at him admitting she was going to have their child. Made him sit down he couldn't believe it. "Natasha I thought you were on the pill. Sure we had sex without condoms or pills, but it couldn't happen." He took a deep breath knowing he was blaming her. "I'm sorry. Look I promise to be there for both of you. So how long have you know?"

"Let's see... Green, penguins, romance, none, dogs, and winter..." She said "I've always wanted a winter wedding" she said looking over the menu.

"A little over a week..." She said shocked that he wasn't angry or yelling at her, he was actually taking it pretty well "I know I should have told you sooner but I was just so scarred..." She looked over at him "I'm so sorry... I know this isn't what you wanted."

He smiled looking at the menu when she mention the wedding. It was to early for that sort of thing, but like the idea. "Yeah well if we play our cards right we will." Saying at her before choosing his meal. "So is there anything special I should know about you?"

He looked at her in the eyes choosing his words carefully. "Look Natasha I understand why your scared. I can be the biggest asshole in the world, but when it comes to family it's different." He put his hands on hers. "Look neither of us is ready to be parents, but we both know we can't do this on our own. I just have one more question how did we I mean we were always safe?"

"Not really..." She said "I was raised by grandparents when I was younger... My parents were never really around. They never married and when they went their separate ways they just kind of forgot about me..." She said keeping her eyes on the menu.

"You really think we always were safe?" She asked "how many times did we get drunk and sleep together, I doubt we made sure it was safe... We couldn't even remember what happened..." She sighed "and I went off the pill two months ago, when I stopped seeing other men. I told you that."

It showed they had something in common. While he was raised by his parents his dad was a pusher who never wanted anything, but the best for him. So he was neglected as well. "That makes two of us. Lets not focus on the negative. Do you think have a shot despite not showing up for 2 days? I mean you worked so hard."

She was right, but she never told him she was off the pill. "Your falling me we had been having sex for two months without you telling me you were off the pull. God Natasha we can't have a kid if were not honest with each other." He was getting a little stirred up as the realization of having a child hit him. "Regardless of anything I don't want to lose our child. Promise me you won't smoke or drink." He knew she would drink which she would have high anxiety.

"I don't think so..." She sighed "my boss was always impressed by how willing I was to always be there. Now that I'm missing days and not doing as much work he probably thinks I'm slacking. I still do more than the other employees but he won't see it that way..." She said "I thought we weren't going to focus on the negative."

"I told you... Or at least I thought I did..." She took a deep breath trying to stay calm "I've never smoked in my life. And you really think I'm that stupid to be drinking while I'm pregnant! You don't have to worry though, the way my roommate drinks I haven't been able to have a drink in my own apartment since he's been there."

"Your right so was history your first choice?" His coach was tough, but not the way she described her boss. Hopefully she would get the promotion when she came back. He didn't want her to blame him if she didn't.

"Calm down alright. That's good that you stop drinking." He didn't want to remind her that she asked a drink earlier. "Look I would've been madder if you didn't tell me. What are we going to do?" He said wondering what her opinion was on the baby. If she did want to have it or not. A part of him hope she would keep it.

"Yeah. I've always had an interest in old things. Living with my grandparents probably contributed to that." She said looking over at him "what about you? What would you do if you weren't playing baseball?" She asked.

"I don't know what you're going to do... But I'm keeping this baby. It may not be exactly how I thought this would happen, but I want this." She said "I'm doing this with or without you... So what you want out of this is up to you..."

"I'd probably be in business right now. I have a bachelor in finances thanks from baseball. Baseball wasn't my first choice, but it's done well for me so no complaining." He replied to her question.

He couldn't believe the words coming from her mouth. Of course he wanted to be there for his child and Natasha. He leaned kissing her stopping her from talking. "I'm fine with you keeping the baby. Like you said maybe we didn't want it this way, but I'm going to help you raise him or her." He put his hand on her belly imaging it. "I love you."
