Knuckleball (Closed)

"What do you want to be doing in the future?" She asked. "Still playing baseball? Or doing something else?" She asked "married? Kids?"

"I love you too..." She said watching him "so... What do we do now?" Natasha asked "where do we go from here?"

"Retire hopefully back on to of my game. Yes even though most guys wouldn't settle down. I would and have maybe two kids. The one boy one girl kind of deal. What about you?" A little after ending his sentence their food arrived. He began eating waiting for her to speak.

"Well were having a baby so I don't know. You can move in if you want I have a spare bedroom for a nursery." Trying to be optimistic about having a child. "What do you want from this?"

"Maybe three kids..." She said "I've always kind of wanted a big family..." Bella took a bite of her food "as far as work goes, I don't really know... I never thought about not working."

"I've already told you what I want. I still hate this house, but maybe it would better if I was here. You would be there for anything that comes up with me or the baby..," she said.

He smiled while taking a bite of his food as she mention wanting three children, but choked a little saying she wanted a big family. "You need to let loose, but I guess I can't say anything considering I don't work every day except the weekends." He took a drink from his glass of water. "I have to ask am I your first serious boyfriend?"

"I know you hate this house, but it's big enough then an apartment." He said then the next words came out silently. "If it becomes an issue we can get a new home." He looked at her not as a friend anymore, but as a mother. "You said you knew for a week. Did you go to the doctor and if so how far are you in the pregency?"

She took another bite of her food, thinking about how to answer. "Yeah... You are..." She said "is that a problem?" She said worrying a little starting to think that he might prefer someone who was at least a little more experienced.

"Yeah. I'm about three weeks, three and a half weeks in..." She said bring her knees up to her chest and leaning against the back of the couch.

"No no it's nice being your first. So any past relationships or just me?" Judging by how she described her childhood and be raising by grandparents she seemed sheltered. Which was understandable, but maybe she could have defined them.

He watch her curl up into a ball. He was nervous about having a baby, but she looked scared. He wrapped his arms around her. "Everything is going to be all right. We should be happy not worrying."

"I dated a few guys when I was younger, it was never anything serious though. The relationships never lasted long. It was my fault though, I was always more interested in my school work...." She said.

"This isn't how I thought it would be. I thought I would get married and move in with the guy before having a baby..." She said "instead I'm having a baby and moving in here only because of that..."

"Well it's there lost, personally I would have stayed with you. I like a woman who can be so passionate about work which translate into other things they do." He smiled at her as he wiped his mouth before eating again.

"Natasha don't do this to yourself it's not your fault. Your going to be a mom of our child. He or she need a role model and you are way better then I am. I grew up with my parents divorce I'm letting my kid go thru the same thing I did." He wanted her to believe the words he actually meant.

"What about you? How have your past relationships been? Any really serious?" She asked before continuing to eat.

"No... But our kids going to grow up with patents who aren't married... That's still not exactly the ideal situation. "Especially when you add in out years of promiscuity. We've both slept with way too many people..."

"I've had my fair share of relationships a few serious. I had a fiance until she left me for my teammate. It doesn't matter though I rather have you here." He spoke eating the meal like normal.

"You have a point, but we have nine months that's enough for us to get to know each other and who knows maybe will be married before. We have slept around, but lets not focus on it." He stood up heading for the kitchen to get her some water. "We need to do what's best for the baby."

"You were engaged before?" She asked not quite sure how to feel about it "I... I'm sorry..." She said "that's pretty serious... How long ago was it?"

"We'll it's more like eight months, I'm already almost a month into this..." She said "do you even remember that night? Do you know what happened?" She asked.

"It's fine a couple of years ago. Maybe two years ago it was a bit back. I got over it she wasn't worth it." He said taking another bite from his pasta bowl.

"Yeah I forgot that's still a long time though." He laughed bringing her a the drink. "I think I can it was a little fuzzy we were really drunk. You were my date to a team party. After a couple of drinks we headed to our hotel. You wearing that sexy red dress you know the one I really like."

"I would never do that to you..." She said "I promise..." She looked down going back to eating her food not sure what else to say.

She took a sip from the water. "Sounds about right..." She said taking a deep breath "anything else you remember? I think I was a little bit more than just tipsy that night..."

He smiled again hearing she wouldn't leave him at the alter. "That's nice to hear I'll make sure, to keep your promise on that." He thought on how quiet it got. "You haven't been on many dates either Bella?"

"You want me to be completely honest. You admitted that you were off the pill and wanted a baby. You were really drunk so I didn't believe you and that leads us to here. Not to mention you told me you loved me. I didn't say anything about it the next day though." He said to the Natasha hoping she wouldn't get embarrass or angry.

"No... But that's not the problem..." She said "it's just that I'm not really sure what to say... I mean what do you say when your boyfriend tells you he was engaged..."

"I knew I told you!" She said "I think the baby part was just the alcohol talking... The I love you wasn't..." She was a little embarrassed but she didn't want him to know "do you realize how different things would be if you had told me about all of that..."

"Yeah that's a deal breaker for some girls cause they think there threaten. Thanks for understanding it's not a really big deal though." He looked at her smiling while feeding himself.

"Natasha calm down I was thinking of telling you, but you have said stuff like that before so I thought it was a joke." He said leaning back on the couch and he could see the shock face. "What do you mean it would've been different?"

"Well I do have to wonder if I'm even half the girl that she was....." She said "it's hard not to think that you might not be comparing me to her..."

"You wouldn't have just now found out that I love you... Maybe we would be a little more prepared for this... We would be further along in our... Whatever this is..." Natasha said

"I would never compare two women to each other. It's not a test or competition it's a romance. Completely two different things. How do I know your not comparing me to your other boyfriends?" Saying it with a grin and playfully.

"As much as we might hate to admit it this a relationship. A dysfunctional one, but never the less they have their ups and downs. That was down, but this is a great upside." He said to her trying to keep their hopes up.

"Even if I did compare you, you beat out any other guy..." She said smiling "but I don't compare you... I just love you..." She said.

Natasha gave him a small smile "thanks..." Looking around she tried to imagine living in his house. "I guess we should start getting to know each other... So start asking questions, we have a lot to do before this baby comes..."

"I love you, too." He smiled back at her reaching to hold her hand. She was so sweet and kind. "Well what do you want to do after were done eating?"

"That's my girl." He said seeing her smile for once. "Ok well first I think you should sleep in my room. I don't think seeing parents not sleeping in the same bed would be strange." He laughed a little. "No, but in serious what do you want a boy or a girl? When we can do you want to see the sex of the baby?"

"I haven't really thought about that. We still have to finish getting you unpacked..." She said "but we could do something else. Maybe watch a movie or some tv."

"I don't know, I guess I'm okay with either one, as long as the baby is heathy." She thought about it for awhile "I kind of want to know... It would make it easier to know what to prepare for. What about you? What do you want?"

"Unpacking will be fine we don't have many boxes left. So when can do that and watch as movie or something after. You ready?" He asked finishing his glass.

"Probably a boy, but wouldn't mind having a girl. Yeah I would like to know for what to prepare for. So what do you plan to do when this baby comes? Not saying you will handle it alone I'll be here, but you know." He asked

"Yeah. I'm ready." She said getting her purse and looking for her wallet "what did you want to do tomorrow? We have all day. We should do something fun before you have to go."

"I'm not sure. I'm not sure that I can work and take care of a baby, but I need the money... Especially with a baby..." She sighed "I haven't really thought this through. It's still kind of new to me..."

"I agree with you on the fun part, but I don't know what is there someplace where we can go?" He said stepping out of the booth. "Maybe go for a walk by the beach or something?"

"Stop that the baby isn't your only yours. I told you I'll help financially or morally. I'll pay for the baby when you can't work. I think once the bump starts to show you stop to not risk harm." He was being serious. "It's new to both to us. We can't fuck up this time."

"The beach sounds great..." She said "I'm going to go pay, I'll be right back." She said as she started walking away.

"I'm kinda tired." Natasha said as she got up "I should probably go home. I'll bring my stuff over after you get back."
