Knuckleball (Closed)

"Last time I talked to my aunt she was still her. They moved but I guess she stayed behind for some guy..." She pulled away from him "can we try to enjoy tonight?"

"I don't know. It's hard to decide." She said "I kind of like Adrianna or Gabrielle for a girl. Maybe Lucas for a boy..." She said "what do you think?"

"Yeah I'm sorry let's enjoy ourselves." He said taking her hand walking along the shore. "What do you want to talk about?" Asking her trying to put the thoughts of Natasha possibly being her cousin behind.

"You heard my names, but I like Adrianna for the girl maybe Lucas or David for the boy." He waited for the waiter to take their orders before speaking again. Ordering steak with some pasta. "I know it's strange, but do you think it's weird that were going to be parents?"

"How about what we are going to do when you get back?" She asked walking a little closer to him "what is next for the two of us?"

"I think it's very strange. I never would have thought we would be parents, together or apart." She said taking a sip of her water "but it'll be fine, you seem to really want this. I'm sure you will be a much better parent than I am."

"I don't know get to know each other better go on some more dates and see where we go from there." He inquired how close they were together smiling at her.

"I know it's weird that we'll be parents, but I think we both need this. I mean we would make good parents, but the baby will definitely make us more mature," He said, "To be honest I thought you would be more excited to be a mom more than me."

"That's probably a good idea." She said "do you ever talk with your family?" She asked "I know you said you had siblings..."

"I'm not sure how to feel... What if I mess up the kid, what if he or she ends up like me?" She asked "what then?"

"Yeah they have got married and have families, but I keep in touch." He said then got an idea in his head. "Hey we have a reunion at the end of my season. Would you want to come? I mean they always tell me to a bring a girl home."

"They won't parents are suppose to want better for their kids. I'll be there if you need help anytime." The waiter served their meals stopping him again. "We're going to steer them in the right direction."

"Really? If you are sure you want me to, I would love to go." She said smiling "it would be nice to meet your family."

"My parents where perfect. I was the problem." She said "how are you so calm about all of this? I wish I was more like you."

He saw the smile we he asked her to go with him. "It'll be fun everyone will be there. You don't have to worry about impressing anyone. There all nice." He looked at her as they walked. "Do you talk to your family?"

"Every child rebels against there parents it's natural." He replied about her remark on her childhood."I'm calm because I know I'm not alone. That I have to be prepared for anything. I'm not saying it's easy , but you need to be level headed or you mess up."

"Not really..." She said "every once in a while I will talk with my aunt but I don't really have any family left besides her." She said.

"Maybe it'll be easier when there is actually a baby to worry about." She said eating a bite of her food "it's still really early, a lot could go wrong..."

"Oh..." Wondering if he had a hit a sensitive spot when it came to family. "Don't worry my mom will make you feel like your apart of ours. Who knows maybe you will be." A little happiness in his voice towards the end.

He stopped eating when she spoke about the possibility of something going wrong. "Don't talk that way. I know it's early, but we have to be careful. I don't want to lose a child." He was showing the compassion in how much he wanted to be a father.

"That all depends on you." She said "who knows if you'll ever ask me." She said moving a little closer resting her head on his shoulder "I have no idea what goes on in your head."

"I'm just saying that it is a possibility. I'll do whatever I have to, to make sure nothing bad happens." She said "I'm sorry I brought it up"

"Yep I'm kind of hard to figure just like you though." He wrapped his arm around her rubbing it. "What do you want in this relationship and be honest?"

"No it's fine I understand it could happen, but I rather not speak about it." He ate some more portions of his meal letting a silent moment pass by. "Are you excited about having a baby, do you want one? I know your worried, but really do you want a kid?"

Bella took a deep breath "I want to marry you..." She said "and eventually start a family with you..." She looked down not sure if that was the right thing to say "what about you?" What do you want?"

"I'm just terrified. I wish these next months would just go by quickly or that I could just skip to the part where I have a baby in my arms." She said "I do want this baby. It's just so soon."

"You don't have to look down. I think it's a big possibility if we play our cards right." He smiled at her. "So you do think there's a future of us?"

"It's ok to be scared and I'm sorry if I didn't doubted you. I want the baby now, too." He said drinking from his glass of water. "Any other things I should know about our baby?"

"Of course I think there is a future for us. What scares me is thinking about how there might not be." She said looking back up at him.

"You know everything that I know." She said "I wish I knew more about it all... It's going to be a long eight months."

"We've done well so far hopefully that's how it will go." He said feeling guilt coming back. Should he tell her that when he cheated it was with her cousin. No he couldn't there was no proof other than the name and city. "Do you plan on staying in the city?"

"Yep eight months of an emotional roller coaster. That were both on the edge about. At least we have the same information." He took another bite of his pasta. "So I'm guessing after the baby is born safe sex all the time?"

"Honestly I don't know... Probably. I have no idea what will happen." She said "are you alright? You don't look so good..."

"Yeah, unless you want to have another baby right away." She said before going back to eating her food.

"Oh...um yeah I just thought of something. I'm fine." He took a deep sigh calming himself down. "So you don't want to move or go to a different city then?"

He finished his pasta moving to his half steak beginning to it again. "I know I was just joking. Besides one child is enough. Do you think we'll ever be husband and wife?"

"I wouldn't mind moving. I guess I just haven't thought about it much. I have always thought I would if I could find a better job." She said taking a deep breath.

"You already know how I feel about that." She said "I'm not going to stop it from happening. I'm just waiting..."

"Why don't you ask for a promotion or raise? From what you told me it seems like you're passionate about your job." He said shivering a little as a cool breeze hit them.

"Yeah I know. Even though I think we should get married. I don't want to be one of those couple that got married because of a baby. I mean we both love each other it's just..." He took a deep breath followed by a drink of water. "I'm scared what if we get divorce?"

"I've tried that." She said "we should get going, it's starting to get a little cold..." She said as she started to walk back to the car.

"Divorced? That's why you won't marry me?" She asked "I'm not planning on leaving you. So unless you're planning on leaving or you're going to do something to cause me to leave you I wouldn't be too worried about that."

"Yeah let's go." He walked back to the car with her stopping to get his shoes. "I had really nice time tonight it's a shame I have to leave tomorrow."

She wasn't yelling, but he looked down as if she did. "I'm not going to do anything, but my parents got divorce and they thought that they would stay forever. I just don't want that to happen to us."

"Yeah... It's only a couple of days though. You'll be back before you know it." She said grabbing her own shoes "I'll miss you though."

"We are not your parents. Not even close. We aren't going to get divorced." She said "but if you don't even think there is a chance that we won't then maybe your right, we shouldn't get married. Maybe we shouldn't even be together."

"I'll miss you, too. It's going to be hard not seeing you when I wake up." He said as they walked towards her car. "I can't wait to get back."

"Natasha don't say that I want us to work out, get married, and raise our child. I have no problem asking you to marry me if you can guarantee that we won't get divorce." He replied to her. "I love you and if you need me to prove it I will."

"You haven't even left yet." She said unlocking her car and getting in "I'll be here when you get back and then we can spend sometime together."

"I promise we will not get divorced." She said slightly annoyed "alright if you want to prove it then go ahead prove you love me..."
