Knuckleball (Closed)

He followed her to the living room. He wanted to push her for more on the crush now that she was remebering it slowly. He didn't want to do it just yet. "It's good your getting a memory back. Do you... nevermind."

"You just said the right word right now. You "was" a horrible person not anymore your going to have a family. If you ask me a person shouldn't deserve that. You deserve a baby, dress, husband, and a wedding. Your a good person deep down and it's just showing now." He looked at the crossroads driving towards the hotel near the field.

"Do I what?" She asked wondering what he was going to ask "what do you want to know? I don't remember more than that."

"What about you?" She asked "you deserve more than this. You deserve a family that you actually wanted, a wife who can afford to buy things for that family and who can help you pay for the perfect wedding."

"No that's fine I was going to ask if you knew more." He said not wanting to her stress her out more then she was already. "I got practice later tonight. Do you want to talk we haven't done that a lot since we've been dating or go somewhere?" He asked.

"This is what I deserve sure it didn't come the way I expected it, but I wouldn't change it. Your the perfect wife someone I can trust and is loyal I don't care if you don't have money. You have to remember I wasn't Mr.Perfect." He said

"Let's talk." She said "so what do you want to talk about? I'm guessing something is on your mind."

"You've always been my perfect man." She said "I've always loved you. You just liked other women better. Or you at least like certain parts of them better."

"There's nothing on my mind I just wanted to talk. Remember we know each other closing to a month now. During that time we hardly know that much about each other. I want to know more about you." He said.

He pulled up to the parking garage of the hotel looking for a parking space. "I won't deny I was attracted to other woman. There was something about you that made me keep coming back. Don't say it was because of the sex there was more I just never wanted to admit my feelings. At the end of the day your my wife and I love you."

"What do you want to know?" She asked "I don't have any pets, I've never had anything. I would love to get a dog but its just not possible with working all the time like I was... You know about my family, my job, my schooling. I don't have any friends to talk about. I've already mentioned my non exsistant love life before you. Yes I want kids and to get married. I've lived in this house forever, it was my grandparents and when they died I got it..."

"I'm not your wife yet. We still have to make it to the wedding." She took a deep breath "would you have ever stopped sleeping with other women if it hasn't been for the baby?"

"I guess I did find out about you a lot. You never told me about the dog thing. I have one he lives with my parents. He's a black retriever named Mac. You would loved him maybe we can him bring him back when we visit them. He lives there because I was on the road a lot." He said smiling knowing he could give her something that she had wanted.

"I would've stop having sex as long as you told me that you loved me. We will make it to the wedding." He said parking the car and getting out.

"Yeah. That would be nice." She grabbed a blanket curling up on the couch next to him. "So where do your parents live? What are they like, what about your siblings?"

"I did tell you I loved you and you didn't stop. I was too drunk to know I told you but still..." She said as she got out of the car "what are we doing here?"

"They live up in Boston. My mom is really nice my dad can be a little bit of an ass, but he's harmless. My siblings are fine 2 brothers are annoying and 2 sisters aren't stuck up. You won't need to impress them." He said moving closer to her.

"You were drunk I didn't know you we're telling the truth." He said walking over to her and holding her hand. "The owner knows me we could get the main ballroom easily. I told you I wanted to make your dream wedding come true."

"I thought you only had two siblings?" She asked "of course I'll have to impress them. If they don't like me it would just make things difficult."

"I don't think I even want to know how you know the owner." She asked figuring it had something to do with the other girls he had slept with.

"Did I say two I must have meant of each. Don't worry just be yourself and they would eat you up in a good way." He said smiling at her that she was determine to impress his family.

The way she had said that he knew she was a little piss. "I know her because she is a fan of the team and the daughter of the owner. Which means I haven't tried anything with her." He said trying to sort of reassure her that he hasn't slept with her.

"So how old are they compared to you?" She asked "are they married? Because if they are that's even more people to impress..."

"Sure." She said still a little annoyed not sure she believed it. Natasha let go of his hand starting to walk towards the hotel.

"One of my brothers is 1 year older the other by 2. My sisters are younger by 1 they were born months apart. All are married except for me and two have children." He replied.

He frowned when she had let go of his hand. "I'm telling the truth." He said leading her to the front desk. He asked for the owner the people told him that she was in the ballroom. "Aimee is in the ballroom let's go."

"Do you want to ever get married?" She asked "is that actually something you want? Or do you just feel like you should?" She sighed "and what about kids?"

"Let me guess she's skinner than me and she's probably blonde. She has a good job, she's perfect isn't she?" Natasha said following him "if you married her the coach would just love you, you would never lose playing time...."

"I feel like I should get married, but the person I choose is something I want. As for the kids I told you I want some maybe one or two. If you want them to be yours I wouldn't mind that or if you wanted to be my wife. I can see it." He said.

He stopped in the hallway pulling her to the side for a brief moment. "Your right about everything except the perfect part. That's you because I don't have to use you to get ahead in life. I've had my chances with her yet I never took them understand?" Then he held her hand again this time tighter so she wouldn't push it easily away.

"What do you think your perfect wife would be like?" She asked "there must be something you want from her? How she acts or looks?"

"But I can't give you anything. I can't get you ahead in life. Nothing makes me better than her, if anything I'm worse." She said "I'm not a gorgeous rich girl who can give you everything you want."

"I want a wife that is down to earth, smart, pretty, and kind. Cooking is optional." He said as he tried his best describing her. "Won't give up, hard worker you know the usual."

"I don't need everything or be successful professionally. As long as I feel taken care of or successful then I'm ok. I would want the person responsible for making me feel that way my wife. That's you Natasha so don't say you have nothing to offer me." He took a deep breath. "Come on she must be waiting on us."

"You can barely cook anything. You need me... Her to cook." She said correcting yourself "I'm not what you want. I'm missing some of those qualities..."

She sighed following him "you still think she's hotter than me." She said still feeling jealous of her.

He heard her say me which made kind of blush."I don't know you sound qualified to me. What qualties are you missing?" Bella was a perfect wife, but he wondered why she couldn't see it.

"No I prefer black hair over blondes especially on you it brings out your complection. While she is skinner you have the curves in the right plcaes. You have nothing to be jealous about I find you more attractive." He said as they entered the ballroom nervous. "Aimee How are you?"

"I'm not the smartest person..." She said "and I'm not pretty..." Bella said taking a deep breath.

Natasha just followed him not saying anything more about it. She looked over at the girl, she was better than her, just as she had expected.
Aimee smiled at him as she walked over "I'm great. It's nice to see you here." She pushed a few stands of hair out of her face "so are you here to take me up on my offer finally?"
Natasha let go of his hand trying to keep from saying anything to her.

"A girl who went to college for probably the most smartest thing you can history. When was the last time you looked yourself in the mirror. You have a natural beauty to you." He smiled leaning down giving her a kiss.

He felt Natasha escape his grasp as Aimee began flirting her. He smiled coyly not trying to flirt back. "Actually I'm getting married to this girl right here. Natasha we've been dating for awhile now. Anyway I was going to ask if we could get the ballroom for the reception."

"I don't, especially right now..." She sighed "I'm only smart because I didn't have anything to distract me."

Aimee laughed "of course. You can even have it for free." She smiled "your joking. You aren't one to get married Anthony. Especially to someone like her, you're so far out of her league."
Natasha kept her eyes on him, fighting the urge to just walk away.

"You think that not me I see a woman who ws determine to be the best. You just gave it your all and if we would have met sooner or when you were younger. You would still have studies and have time for dating because I wouldv'e of made you." He said

He never wanted to hit a woman as much as right now. He was clearly loosing his cool not wanting Natasha to be insulted. "Well I am getting married to woman who is in my league. She looks and acts like a wife should be." He stopped realizing he was starting to get louder. "Natasha do you still want to have the reciption here or should we leave?" He leaned closer to Natasha so Aimee couldn't hear. "She's a stuck up bitch. Your better than her don't let her get to you."

"I still young." Bella said "you have no idea what I was like when I was in school. You probably would have liked me then, most likely we wouldn't have ended up getting together."

Natasha took a deep breath "is there somewhere else this nice? Or at least close to it?" She asked.
Aimee crossed her arms annoyed "Anthony please think about this. I mean really you know what I could give you. My dad loves you, he could get you moved up to a bigger better team."

"Judging from the stroies you told me about your past. I would have probably liked you. Besides what has change since you were younger. I mean you still have the work ethic and pressure. What is different from you then and you now?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah their is a hotel a few blocks down that we hosted some dinner parties. The ballrooom looks nice a little better than this . If you wwant to go?" He said then turned back to the blonde boss's daughter. "I know marrrying or even dating you can help my carrer, but that's not what I'm looking for right now. Aimee you have been nice to me ever since the team drafted me, but I love Natasha and I can't think of anyone else I would want to marry."
