Knuckleball (Closed)

When she was done she headed towards the baseball field. As she got close she called him "I'll be there in about five minutes." She said. Walking inside she took a deep breath waiting for him.

"Okay. Do you have practice or anything?" She asked as they walked back to the car "I don't want to keep you away from work."

He smiled as she called him about her coming. The game was in 15 minutes. He walked out of the field toward the entrance seeing her. "Bella your here and..." He was surprised to see the cast off. "What happen? How did you get it off early?"

"No nothing at all. Lets just go I'll drive." He said as they got to the car. Knowing he could drive home without pasting the stadium.

"I begged the doctor to let me get it off sooner. I still have to be careful though." She said walking up to him "so are you ready for the game?" She asked kissing his cheek.

"Okay." She said handing him the keys before getting into the car "are you sure your okay with this? I know it's a lot..."

He kissed her back still shock to see her without a cast. "Ok just be careful. Yeah I'm ready, I'm going to start." Taking her hand leading her to her seat. "It's behind home plate front row. You can see me pitching right across." He said.

He turned on the car driving them home. "I don't know it was sort of easy at first now it's just complicated." He drove the long way home. "It's scary knowing that we have to look after three kids. Can we be good parents?"

"That's great." She said as they walked. "Thank you. Have a great game." She said kissing him and sitting down "I'll be here. I promise I'll be careful."

"I don't know. I had doubts when it was just one. I'm not sure that we can take care of three kids. It's a lot." She said trying to imagine it "what are we going to do? How can we handle all of this?"

"Ok love you. Come visit me at the halftime." He said walking away as the game was beginning right away. He started the first two inning were no hitters. Which made him happy knowing she was watching him. Hearing the crowd booing him at the beginning now cheering along with the commentators praising his performance.

He pulled in the driveway parking the car. He looked at her stomach picturing it all. "I don't know. Feeding three extra mouths, working on our relationship, and whatever head are way." For once Anthony admitted that they couldn't do it.

When the first half of the game was over she walked down and waited by the edge of the field. She was impressed with how well he had played the first half.

"So... What are we going to do?" Natasha asked looking over at him "do you still want to have these babies? Do you still want to marry me?"

He walked to the edge happy as can be. He had brought the ring in case he could porpose to her. "You doing good up there? It's nice having someone to play for."

"Yes." He stated confidently before going back to his quiet voice. "We can't fight anymore. We could work our issues out before the babies arrive. My feeling aren't going to change."

"Yeah. I'm fine. It's nice getting to see you play. Your really good." She said "so do you think the rest of the game will be this good? Maybe the other team won't score at all."

Natasha got out of the car and went inside. "So now we need to figure out when we get married, if we want to try and find a bigger house, we need to get more of everything..." She sighed looking at the ring still sitting on the table.

He laughed as she never did see him play. "Who knows maybe. I don't have the best consistency. I'm glad your here, Bella." He said hugging her wondering if it was a good time. "Bella I have to umm... Go back to the locker room. Get ready. I love you." Giving a quick peck on the lips.

He closed the door behind them heading to sit next to her. "All in 9 months." He added watching her eyes glare at the ring. "You asked me countless of times, but I haven't once. Are you sure you want to get married?"

"I love you too..." She said surprised by his sudden departure. She quickly went back to her seat, wondering if something was wrong. Maybe she had said something.

"More like eight months now..." She sighed "I'll start showing soon. It's not like I have much of a choice. We have to get married, especially now. I wanted to marry you. I just had hoped that it wouldn't be like this..."

He got back to the game getting ready. He wanted to tell her about why he left, but that could wait until they got home. He looked at her everytime he would get a out. The second half pass with him giving only two runs still winning the game though he was happy.

"Natasha why don't we go down to the courthouse and get married. Then after the babies come we'll have a actual wedding. That way we can save money now and still get our day." He asked not knowing if she would accept it.

When the game was over she walked around until she finally found the locker room and stood there waiting for him to come out, still wondering what had happened earlier.

"We can but after the babies come we won't have time to plan a wedding and that day we will be so stressed about the kids we won't be able to enjoy our wedding." She said curling up on the couch.

He had run from the dugout straight to the locker room. He changed quickly wanting to go straight home. He grabbed the ring before stepping out to see his son to be engaged girlfriend. He smiled picking her up gently and kissing her passionately. "I'm sorry for ditching you earlier. I love you."

He just looked as she curled up then to the ring. He picked up putting it on her finger. "We plan now move everything to a later date. It's going to be hard whatever way we do it." He rubbed her side. "I don't want to spend another day without calling you my wife."

"I love you too." Bella said "but why did you run off so quickly? Is everything alright?" She asked as she started walking "you seemed... Really nervous..." She said looking over at him.

Natasha looked down at the ring "then let's just get this done as quickly as possible. Let's move the reservations up to this weekend. I'll go pick out my dress tomorrow and flowers. Then well get your tux and pick a cake. I'll send out invitations as soon as possible."

"Umm yeah about that." He said as he made a quick excuse. "Coach didn't want me to see you. He likes you it's just he said it would mess with mindset, but considering the game I played. I don't think he would mind having you at games." He said smiling to ensure her everything was fine.

"Sounds like a plan. Now let's just relax." He said resting his head back after a brief silence he spoke. "Did you ever think we would have a family before this happen?"

"Oh..." She said quietly, not sure she believed it. "So what happened? I'm happy that you got to start. It's just not the usual..." She said looking at her arm.

"No... Not really." She said "well maybe one kid but after we had been married for a couple years at least." She said still feeling overwhelmed. "I wasn't really ever sure that we would end up together..."

He looked at her as they walked to car. "Well the normal starter didn't show they don't even know where he went. I'm sure he's fine just busy." He said. "Why did you take off your cast?"

"Ohh yeah well now your getting three and a wedding in a week." He said lightly before turning to her. "I'm sorry how things turn out between us. Honest this time no excuses or anything I wish that I never ruined your life."

"Honestly.... I knew you had bought a ring and I couldn't wear it with the cast..." She said looking at the ground not sure what to say next "I kind of thought you were planning on proposing... It was silly of me to think that though. I really do want it to be a surprise."

"I'm sure that I'm the one who ruined your life. You had a perfect life before me. Money, a job you love, any girl you wanted in your bed. You had it all..." Natasha sighed "now you have a soon to be wife who will also be having your kids, three of them.... And a lot of problems..."

He smiled as she looked down knowing she was right. He then waited a bit as she walked forward then got down on one knee ring in hand. "Let me get this straight my girlfriend expected me to get down on one knee and ask her to marry me." He laughed a bit hoping she would turn around to reply.

"I have all that still except for the girls. Your a blessing in a disguise maybe I need a kids and settle down." He looked at her picking her up to lay in his arms. "Don't blame yourself for anything that is our fault got it."

"Yeah... But I shouldn't have. I'm sorry." She said as she kept walking completely unaware that he had had stopped "I don't know what I was thinking. Just forget I said anything."

"It is my fault... I'm the one who is pregnant." She looked up at him "and twins run in my family so it's probably my fault we are having three babies. Do you know how difficult it's going to be to actually have them...."

He walked back enough to get closer before speaking again to her. Then he got back on the knee. "Hey look at me don't be ashamed of proposing." He said taking one of her hands while offering the ring in the other.

He gave her kiss holding her in his arms tightly. "Look I love you. Just promise to help me raise this baby." He said looking at her eyes trying to convince her they would be fine.

"What? I'm not...." She started as she turned around her face turning bright red "what are you doing?" She managed to get out before going speechless not sure what to do or how to react.

"I promise I'll help. Just know now that when I go into labor I'm probably going to hate you...." She said "I apologize now for all the horrible things I'll say to you."

"I'm doing what you ask. So Bella will you marry me?" He asked smiling up at her. He studied her reaction not sure this was a good reaction or not. "Is that a yes?"

He looked at her laughing at her tiny joke. "I accept that apology, but let me confess something. I apologize for the soreness your going to have the moment the doctor says we could have sex again." He smiled kissing her again.

"No." She said helping him up the best that she could "I don't want you proposing the me because I mentioned it... I want you to want to. You ran off earlier..." She said "maybe you're not ready..."

She laughed "it's funny that you think we will have time to have sex after the babies are born. It's cute that you are so optimistic about that."
