Knuckleball (Closed)

"Am I wrong for wanting something more romantic?" She asked sitting down on the bed "are you mad at me because I think that?"

"We have a wedding to worry about..." She said sitting next to him "do you really think we can do this in just a week?" Natasha asked trying to imagine all the work she would have to do.

He sat next to her holding her from the side. "I'm not mad at you, I can never be. I know I'm not the greatest romantic, but if you need romance tell me. With that said it's not like I won't surprise you with a random act of romance."

"We can do it and it's going to be a stretch, but I think we can do it." He looked at her. "It isn't going to be perfect, but it's going to be pretty close." He gave her a settle kiss before moving. "Can we get some sleep?"

"I need romance Ken. I thought you knew that..." She said as she got up "I just wish today had gone differently. It shouldn't have ended up like this."

"Yeah. Some sleep would probably be good." She said "would you like me to sleep on the couch tonight? I know it's been a rough day."

"I didn't know I'm sorry." He let out a sigh not getting up. "I agree about how this turned out, but think about the good. We're engaged and love each other."

"No we can sleep in here together, but if you want I can go sleep on the couch besides I'm use to it." He told her.

"I'm sorry." She said going back to her dresser and picking out a nightgown to wear. "I shouldn't have said anything." She said as she got undressed and quickly changed.

"No. You can sleep with me." She said as she laid down "I just didn't know how you felt about me right now. I was awful to you earlier."

He looked down as he didn't know if he had offend her or make her mad. "Ok I'm sorry for it." He said getting ready to bed.

He laughed getting in with her. "I wouldn't have propose to you. If I wasn't expecting us to get in a few fights."

"I just wish we could go back and do today over..." She said sitting down on the bed "I didn't want to end up in a fight with you..."

"I think a few is an understatement. We haven really stopped fighting since you proposed." She said getting comfortable, pulling the blanket up to cover her.

"I wouldn't or else you would have never told me you needed romance if I would've propose right." He said looking at her. "I wouldn't call this a fight considering we're not yelling at each other."

"Yeah, but the times that we didn't were nice." He said fixing himself to get ready. He put his arm around her. "I love you."

"Do you want your ring back?" She asked looking down at it "it just doesn't seem like I deserve it anymore."

"I love you too. But until after the wedding I'm not going to sleep with you..." She said kissing him before closing her eyes.

He took her hand holding it in his looking at the ring. "No you deserve it and you've earned it. I want you to be my wife." He said looking at her eyes.

He kind of almost laughed at her comment. At least she was being honest. "Goodnight." He closed his eyes. Drifting to sleep.

"No... You should take it back..." She said looking away from him "please... I ruined your proposal and I feel horrible about that."

"Goodnight." She said as she quickly fell asleep as well.

He turned her to face him and kiss her passionately. "You couldn't ruin it. All I wanted was for you to say yes and marry me." He then kissed her again before she could talk.

He slept opening his eyes to see her. He kissed her lips before going back to sleep. Wondering if she had fell asleep.

Bella pulled away from him "I wanted to say no..." She said softly "I do want to marry you but I'm not ready for this. I need to get my life back first. I need a job, I need to be able to do things without your help..."

She was still asleep. Exhausted from everything that had happened that day.

He looked a little hurt when she thought about saying no. "Ohh..." He pulled back to sit again. "I understand that I would probably have done the same thing." He looked away from her. It's fine I mean we love each other that's not going to change." He said.

He laid back and fell asleep waiting for morning to come. He was glad that they were going to be a family.

"I'll go sleep in the guest room tonight... You seem like you need your space." She said walking towards the door "I love you..." She said as she walked out.

Natasha was still asleep when morning finally came.

"Bella I..." He couldn't say anything as she left the room. He didn't want to fight it was going to be the perfect night. Like the time before she had gone to sleep in the other room he walked in seeing. "We spend to many nights alone. I just need you besides me tonight." He laid next to her not letting go of her. Closing his eyes and giving a goodnight kiss.

He woke up taking a shower and went back to lay there when she woke up. Smiling at her and holding her he just thought about everything while waiting.

She sighed knowing there wasn't anything that she could do. Deciding it was just best to sleep she closed her eyes and slowly feel asleep.

"Good morning..." She said as she woke up. Giving him a quick kiss she sat up "I've got to take a shower and then go find a dress and pick out some flowers. Can you write a list of people you want to invite and then go get your tux?" She asked.

He had fell asleep with no objections from her. He woke up early. Getting up he sat on the bed thinking about what she had said about marrying her earlier. Was she really going to say no.

He smiled as his bride to be was kissed him getting ready to take a shower. "Good morning to you, too. Alright I'll make a list and leave it on the table." He said getting a pen and paper. "Go take a shower."

Bella was still asleep, facing away from him. The ring was sitting on the nightstand beside her.

"Thank you." She said before heading into the bathroom. She quickly took a shower before getting dressed and then heading downstairs.

He look to her noticing that she had left the ring on the bedside. He looked at it with a thought. He reached over taking it and looked at her hand. He slipped it on her finger again. "I love you." He whispered in her ear before laying next to her sleeping by her.

As she took a shower he made the list. Listing a couple of teammates including Ken, the coach, the owner along with his daughter, and both their parents. He waited until she got out. "There's my future wife and here is the list."

Bella woke up before he did. She got to up to make breakfast when she noticed the ring was gone from the nightstand. It wasn't on her hand either. She took a deep breath before starting to search through the sheets looking for it.

"Thanks." She said looking it over "I'll send them out tomorrow morning before we go cake tasting. I'll be back in a few hours." She said grabbing her purse "I love you."

He had stayed asleep until he felt the sheets moving. He woke up to see Bella moving around. "Bella What's wrong? What are you doing?" He asked still sleepy from the night.

"Love you, too." He said as she left he got up taking his shower. Things were finally ok both were getting ready. She was going to pick her dress. He texted her. "Get your dream dress." He said before leaving to pick out his tux.

"I lost the ring." She said sitting down on the floor "I took it off because it was a little big so I didn't want it to fall off but now it's just gone..." She said.

Natasha rolled her eyes seeing the text 'you know I can't afford it' she texted him back as she walked into the store.

He looked guilty he had thought she had took it off because she didn't want to wear it not because of the size. "It's ok here I'll help you find it." He said getting off the bed and lifting off the blanket.

"Your giving birth to three kids. I'll pay for it so you can have your dress. Pay me back when we pay for the bills." He replied so she wouldn't think he was giving it to her for free. He walked in to the shop getting fit for the tux.

"It could be anywhere." She said laying on the floor looking for it under the bed "it's all my fault."

She wasn't sure what to do. She felt bad that she couldn't just buy it herself. She started to look around not sure what kind of dress she even wanted.
