Knuckleball (Closed)

"That was a lot easier than I thought it would be...." She said as she followed him around looking for the car dealer.

"He's watching some game in the living room." She said letting go of Natasha and letting them both inside "what's so important that you came all the way out here? I know how you feel about us." Natasha just froze still not sure she was ready to tell them.

"Well yeah because I knew what I wanted ahead of time." He said walking to the building. Entering he found a dealer. "Do you want to drive home already? I'll bring the car home if you want to wait for me there."

He turned to his soon to be wife seeing how frozen and lost she was. He took her hand into his looking at her. "She has something important to tell the both of you. So lead us to the living room." He said to her mother.

"Sure... I guess..." She said feeling a little like he didn't want her there "I'll see you back at home."

"Right this way." Her mother said leading them into another room. "I think I'm going to be sick...." Natasha said as she saw her dad sitting on the couch.

He smiled at her stopping her and giving her a kiss. "I love you and I'll be home in a bit." He hugged her once more. "Be safe."

"It'll be ok I..." "Natasha! What are you doing here and with him." He held her hand tightly as her father yelled at her daughter. "Relax we came here to talk. Could we sit down please?"

"I will be. I love you too." She said as she kissed him again before walking off and getting into her car, driving back to their house.

"Sit wherever you like." Her mother said as she sat down next to her father. Natasha took a deep breath sitting down in one of the chairs. She opened her mouth to speak but she just couldn't say it.

He watched her leave and went back inside. After a few paper signed and reviewed he got his car and began driving. It felt nice to have a new car and it moved smoothly he drove back home.

He looked at them smiling despite the sour look on her fathers face. "What is it Natasha?" Her father asked. "Natasha would like to say a announcement." He said trying to edge her on. He leaned to her ear. "You have to tell them. Don't fear your parents."

Bella was inside sitting on the couch just flipping through a book when he walked in "so everything went well?" She asked.

"She's getting married." Her mother said "how could anyone miss the huge ring on her finger." Natasha looked at Anthony "that's true..." She said looking back at her parents "but I'm also pregnant..."

"Yep I can't drive it until I get it on my insurance though." He said as he walked up to her giving her a kiss. "What were you doing while I was gone just reading this magazine?"

Her mothers words of approval was good sign then her father spoke. "Pregnant! No wonder this man is marrying our daughter. He doesn't love her it's out of guilt." Her father said standing up. "No we've been planning this for a while now. She's one month in and the wedding is this week. We've been busy and decide to invite you in a person. I love your daughter, she is the one I want to be with pregnancy or not."

"Yeah." She said sitting it down on the coffee table "I didn't know how long you would be. So why didn't you want me there?"

"Calm down, there isn't anything we can do about it. She does whatever she wants, if she wants to marry him and have his child it's her mistake to make." Her mother said getting up and heading off into the kitchen. "I guess the fact that I'm having triplets can't make things any worse...." Natasha said.

"It's not that I didn't want you there. I just thought it would be boring watching me sign papers." He said. "I didn't mean to kick you out. You can stay with me next time."

"There you go that's why their here. They expect us to raise their kids while they go off partying. Not that I wouldn't mind since they're going to need a responsible adult to look up, too." Inside Anthony got more mad. "Yes, we would like help raising them, but only because we need to work."

"Alright. Next time you have to buy a new car because I was in a crash I'll stay." She said "anything else you need to do today?"

"I told you I didn't want to tell them." Natasha said getting up and starting to cry "they think I'm just a screw up. If they don't care about me I don't want them around our kids."

"Practice later until 8 though." He took a deep breath. "I don't want to fight, but you know what I meant."

He stood up hugging her trying to calm her down and looked at her parents. "She is your daughter and you can't be happy for her. Hate me all you want, but don't blame her. We don't need you because we'll be better parents than you." He took Natasha's hand leading her out. "Let's go. If you guys can fix yourself then come to the wedding and be part of your grandchildren lives if not don't bother."

Bella sighed "I know it just hurt... I felt like you didn't want me..." She said "I'm sorry..."

Natasha's mother quickly followed them out "here, take this." She said handing them a check "use it for the wedding or the babies... I'll try to talk to him." Natasha was still upset and crying not sure how to react.

"No I shouldn't have push you out of their." He leaned in a quick kiss on her. "What about you any plans?"

"Thank you, but if you want to help us." He leaned away from Natasha to speak to her mother privately." Make sure he walks her down the aisle." He took his sobbing wife to be to the car. Inside he sat silently watching her and hearing her cry. "I'm sorry we should have stayed home."

"No. I have nothing to do." She said "the house is clean, we have groceries, clothes are washed..."

"I told you. He'll never be okay with this. Now he just hates me more." She said "your parents will be thrilled, won't they?"

"How about we go out for a bite to eat? After practice I'll call you to come. Ok?" He asked smiling at her.

"He doesn't hate you. It's his massive temper." He said. "Yes my parents are going to be ecstatic. I'll call them when we get home." He turned on the car.

"Okay. Sounds good." She said "maybe I'll just take a nap before then."

"Why can't we go visit and tell them? You made me go through that..." She said "you could at least let me meet your parents."

"Ok sounds good then. I have still have some time got any ideas?" He said knowing he begged coach to cancel practice so he could make it up to her.

Before he could anwser the coach called. "Ok yeah I understand, bye. Well my practice is cancel so I guess we can drive up to them." He began driving away from the home towards his parents house. "I'm sorry I didn't think it would be that bad."

"No, not really..." She said "anything you need to do before you have to go to practice?" She asked.

"I told you that it would be. I said my dad wouldn't walk me down the aisle and now he won't." She said "they won't even be there now though..."

"No nothing, but I don't know." He tried thinking of ways to run the time out before he left. "I have a hour." He picked his laptop up. "Do you want to watch Netflix?"

"He will be there. Your mom said she would talk to him." He said as she sniffled never had he seen her like that. Breakdown almost and crying uncontrollably it was sad how her father could cause that. "Please don't cry anymore no one is worth your tears. Not your dad, me, or anyone else. Why do you always look for his approval? "

"Sounds good. What do you want to watch?" She asked curling back up on the couch.

"Because he's my dad. I've always been a disappointment to him. I just want him to be proud of me once." She said trying to calm down.

He looked down thru the categories. "Maybe a comedy or something. Do you recommend anything?" He asked her.

"Well he shouldn't treat you like that especially since your trying to clean your act up..." He said staying quiet still wondering how a person could be like that. "We're almost to my parents don't worry they will be happy for us." His hand reaching to hers and holding it.

"How about a romantic comedy... You can pick which one." She said watching him.

"I really hope they are. I've never met them before, I'm nervous... What if they don't like me?" She asked "what if they don't think I'm good enough for you?"

"Ok what about Valentine's Day?" He was liking how huddled they were around the laptop. He moved the cursor ready to start. "Is this good?"

"They are going to be happy and like you." He said his parents were always supportive, but he resented them for it. After seeing Natasha's he felt good about them. "They don't care if your poor or rich as long as they see me happy with you."

"Sounds good." Bella said "do you want anything to eat or drink? I'll get it if you want..." She asked.

"Okay..." She said taking a deep breath. She was still nervous but she doubted that it could be any worse than things with her parents had been.
