Knuckleball (Closed)

He looked under the pillows not noticing it had fell to the floor on the opposite side of the bed. "No it's my fault. I thought you took it off because you were mad atme so I put it back on. I'm sorry."

He was getting it tailored after the measurements were taken. He looked at the ties wondering which one to pick. Also hoping Natasha would get the dress she loved.

"Well I can't find it." She said getting up "it's gone." She said walking out even more upset.

Natasha spent hours trying on dresses before finding one she liked. She easily found shoes and decided against getting a veil before leaving to pick out the flowers.

He looked down at how stupid he could act Bella loved him to much to leave him. He looked for it not wanting to upset her more and try to make her at least happen. After a few minutes of looking he found it on the floor. He took it and ran downstairs. "Bella I found it. I found the ring."

He had gotten the tux and bought a plain black tie. Not sure to pick another color. He then payed for everything and drove back home. To see she wasn't finish yet and decide to order a pizza. He put the tux in the closet upstairs.

"Okay... Keep it..." She said as she was making breakfast "clearly I wasn't meant to have it, at least not right now. It's caused too much trouble."

It was still about another half hour before she got back home. She came in carrying the dress in a white bag "you better not look at what's in this." She said as she carried it upstairs.

"No, Bella you have earned this ring I mean. It caused one problem, but it will be worth more eventually." He said standing behind as she cooked. "I'm an idiot because you have loved me more than anyone than my entire life including my own family. Last night seeing you without that ring on made me think I was going to lose you and I got scared." He said.

"Wouldn't think about it." He said watching her go upstairs. Slicing the pizza and getting ready to eat. Then he stopped and thought about what dress she picked and how she looked in it.

"Please just keep it. I don't want to keep this fight going." She said trying not to cry "I'm not going to leave you. You can give me that ring back once you understand that it has nothing to do with how much I love you."

"We have an appointment to go pick a cake tomorrow." She said as she came back downstairs "I'll write out the invitations tonight, send them tomorrow. Then we should be set, right?"

He looked down seeing she wasn't going to give up about this. "Ok... I guess. You'll get it soon I promise." He kissed her cheek putting his arms around her he rested his head on her.

"Yep I had moved the date at the hotel and they were free and I booked it." He said smiling at her. "Now did my bride pick out a dress she liked?"

"Thank you." She said as she finished cooking "so are you hungry? Do you have any plans for today?" She asked.

"I picked a reasonably priced dress that I thought was good enough." She said "there was this amazing dress but it was way too much. It cost more than I'm sure my ring did..."

"Yeah and nothing until tomorrow. I have practice tomorrow and a game the following day." He said as he step back. "Do you have anything plan?"

"Natasha I told you that you could get the dress and put it on my card." He said handing her a slice. "The price doesn't matter just get it. Then pay me back later with the baby stuff and bills."

"I have to try and find a job. I can't just keep on not working." She said as she put some food on a plate for him. "I'm not sure what do though. It's not like there is any other museums to work at here."

"I ask for too much from you." She said "it's way too much money..."

"Have you thought about teaching?" He said taking a bite from his meal. "I mean you know a lot about history or I could call my brother see if he can get you job at the city next to here." He said considering it was only a half hour drive.

"No it's not I mean it might be a lot of money." He took a deep breath eating a slice. "You've never asked me for money. If I bought you something it's because I wanted, too. Never because you asked."

"I would have to go back to school to become a teacher." She said sitting down "do you really think your brother could help?"

"Okay. Fine. I'll take back the dress." She said before eating "I just hate being a financial burden to you."

"Yeah he owes me some favors. He could get you hired or an interview." He said looking at her glad that she was going back to work. "This is delicious by the way."

"Your not a burden until I think you are. As long as you need something or it's something your heart desire I'll help. I promise to only buy you things on your birthday, anniversary, and christmas." He told her.

"Thanks. It would be really nice to have something to do again." She said as she started eating "thank you for helping."

"Okay. I'll deal with the dress another day." She said smiling "so are you planning on having a bachelor party before the big day?"

"No problem it's the least I can do for you." He said smiling at her. "I'll call him later. Is that alright Bella?" As he resumed eating.

"I don't know I have friends, but I don't know if I trust them to throw me a bachelor party." He said looking at her with a smile. "Then again why would I spend a night away from you." He gave her a kiss on the lips.

"Yeah, of course. I'm not in a rush." She said "maybe we could go look at cars. I still think you should at least let me help pay for it since I was the one driving when the damage happened."

"You should have one. It's one night away, have fun." She said getting another slice of pizza "you have the rest of your life to spend with me."

"We could go look at cars, but you don't need to pay. My insurance covers it I just need to make a call and I get a new one." He said as he finished eating. "I told you that you don't owe me anything."

"I guess your right let me think about it though." He said getting up to get another drink. "Or you can be my entertainment. Dress the part perform a little striptease maybe a lap dance. It would kind of be fun." He said coming back with a cheeky smile.

Bella got up, taking their dishes and starting to wash them "what where you thinking when you found out what had happened?" She asked.

"I'm not a stripper anymore." She said "you really should go. Enjoy one last crazy night while you have the chance too."

"I was scared you know. I thought I lost you then the doctor said you might have a little memory loss. I didn't know if you would forget me or not." He said

"Only because your saying to or else I wouldn't." He said smiling as he kept eating. "I know your not a stripper anymore, but it would be nice to see you like that one more time."

"Is that part of why you asked? Was that why you decided you wanted to marry me?" She asked as she continued washing the dishes.

"Do you really miss that?" She asked "do you wish I had kept on stripping? It was better money..."

"A little not completely I still was going to ask you. Actually I was going to ask you when I had come back and we could have pick the ring together." He said as he thought about the day. "When the doctor said you might have forgotten a bit. I wanted to take you out on dates. Be able to spend time with me if you forgot about us."

"No it's only a joke." He questioned if she was being a little serious. "I don't want you to go back to your old life no matter how much money you got."

"I wasn't sure I even wanted to be with you when you had left. You have no idea how hurt I was. When I found out I was in a crash I thought it had been fault. I thought I had crashed the car." She said as she finished up, turning the water off.

"What do you want me to do? I mean it's going to be hard to work with three babies to take care of all the time." She said.

He didn't like the way she was taking not because of her wanting to be in a relationship, but they way she had thought about how it was her fault. "Bella why stay with me then? It was my fault if the crash was because you. Then I am the one who should be paying for it. I left you in a state of uncertainty. I should have never got on that plane and I should've drove you home."

"You have me I have a schedule of going to the gym a hour a day. Practices up at 7 to 10 and a schedule of games ahead of time. The only thing wrong about that is the traveling." He took a deep breath. "I've told you before and I'll tell you again. Your not raising these kids alone."

"Because I couldn't remember much about the day of the crash. You lied and told me that everything was fine between us and then when I started remembering stuff I just didn't want to bring it back up. I love you. I didn't want to fight again." Bella sighed "I thought everything would just work out."

"So you will be here sometimes but someone needs to be with them at all times. If I just work when you are home then I never see you...." Natasha said.
