The governor, mayor and fire chief were all white heterosexual males, so there was no blame shifting or soapboxing about "DEI".

What is happening is that they're formulating a process in which the federal aid monies will go directly to the citizen cutting the state and city out of the loop altogether. Any relief that the state of city may get will have SERIOUS strings attached, benchmarks and oversight. And this is from people who were living in the middle of this or had people who were living in the middle of this. They have very wealthy people there. Many properties that are owned by the wealthy are heavily insured. The wealthy there can help others in their community if they actually care. And these are your Hollywood liberal elites that you tend to love so much. You know the ones that bash Trump and talk trash about him and so you make them your heroes. The ones who said they're going to move to Canada, but instead stayed in Los Angeles. They are not going to freeze to death tonight. They have decent weather fires aside. And the fact is the lack of water there, the lack of resources the city has immediately, and even the policies that said they weren't going to take deadwood out of the forests which meant a bunch of. Dry dead wood that ended up as tinder for a fire, all happened because of mismanagement by the state and the city, and very bad policy when it came to the environment. North Carolina did nothing wrong and was hit with a disaster that they couldn't control and were ignored for the most part by the federal government. While people died. Los Angeles, the home of both the vice president and the president's son, of both the vice president and the president's son, where they both coincidentally have homes, is getting all the help they want or need in spades by the federal government and the FEMA agencies. And being promised massive amounts of our tax dollars to pay for everything from debris cleanup to lost wages. 4% of the debris got cleaned up in North Carolina in most areas, and most of that was done by local people and people who volunteered and showed up. While the federal government took credit for what outside agencies and local people did. Because it was politically convenient to do so. Do not try to tell me that. I don't know what I'm talking about. I have people on the ground there who have dealt with this. I know the people directly who were turned away at the border of North Carolina by federal agents when they showed up to help and had goods and trucks and tractors on hand ready to help and clear and do the work.
