Laser Hair Removal

The only two things that I can recall from the various threads I've read about it is that 1 - it takes multiple visits to get completely hair free (6+ depending on hair thickness and density ), and that it's expensive. Wish I could offer more assistance.

I've had it done on pubes and underarms. I still have some hair on my pubes and just been too lazy to go get more treatments, but I just run a razor over it a couple of times a week and all is good. Before I had it done I was shaving every other day, and stubble was bad but now it's a lot softer.

It does hurt, but it's bearable. Don't get it done when your period is due or if you already have it - the pain threshold is lower at that time (as I found out!) There will be some redness afterwards but they should give you some cooling lotion to put on for a few days after. Leave a time frame of about 6 weeks between treatments - the salon should book you for the next one before you leave.

Good luck :)

I've had it done to my underarms and bikini area (not quite brazillian) with fantastic results.

Yes, it requires multiple sessions - from 4-12 treatments, usually 6-8 weeks apart.... depending on the area (ie type of hair) the hair colour and your skin colour.

Yes, it hurts, but it's over instantly and the sting doesn't linger.

Not all of the hair is treatable - it works best on dark hair (or hair with dark/black roots) and white skin.

I have olive complexion and it did give me a "tan" where I was treated. That faded in about 6 months after I stopped treatments.

I recommend it to anyone who has problems with shaving/waxing rashes.

It hurts, it takes loads of treatments to be effective, its costly and if you have sensitive skin like me IT FUCKING HURTS!!! I lasted one treatment.

I've had it done on my face. It takes about 8 (sometimes more) treatments. Works best if you have dark hair and your skin is fair. As far as being painful goes...it's tolerable.

Thanks everyone for the info.

I saw a special being run and thought I might give it a go.

I'm still not sure if I will or not. I'm feeling a bit chicken right now.

Fury :rose:
