Yeah, gay soccer players on the ladies team is a cliche, but my twist is to make it more taboo with a big age gap. One person is like 23 and the other is 35 and the twist is it is the first season for the younger lady but the last for the older. Shock horror, not all female football players are gay, and there are different factions within teams.
Aside from the sexual split, there are good players and not so good plaers. Experienced and non experienced players.
The coaching staff as well deal with some players better than others.
There are so many options for a real drama story... Like a real story rather than mere male fantasy...

That is all true!!! Good points here entirely. Soccer players being lesbian is like male hockey players being gay as a stereotype.
