I'm guessing that its because this site is a safe place for anyone to come of any sexual persuasion. We are encouraged to write about any kind of sexual diversity, Why should we be surprised to see the same diversity in the characteristics of the authors. Added to which, this is a very non-judgemental place, safe for everyone.

I have to agree Thee that the proportions of Lezbeans here is higher than in my RL world.... And i agree that the main reason is the tolerance and general exceptance of the people on this forum.... i've been here a couple of years and I feel like it was about the same when I first got here as it is now, only I know more people and their orientation....

I'm a dirty old man and have been since the first day I could hang my own sign.... The large majority of my friends here at Lezbeans.... A large majority of the people I have physically met here are Lezbeans.... I have no problem with this, in fact I find them to be some of the most fun and understanding people I know. Not to mention the happiest married couples I've ever met on average.

They are some of the most unhappy people I've ever seen when alone.... or at least more vocal about it....

I've even been adopted by a Lezbean as a big brother she never had... and I love and cherish that....

The fact that i use the word Lezbean should let you know who and I love her and her family and her extended family to pieces...

So there's more lesbians here than average.... I say thank Dog or God or whatever diety you choose.....

Well, Im not a lesbian, I guess I could say Im BI, but Ive never had the opportunity to venture - to the dark side! LMAO!

I think, having not read the other posts, the reason why there are so many Lesbians on the AH is because these gorgeous women have swayed us 'straight' women to believe that Lesbian-ism is the way to go.

Where else would you have someone know exactly whats going on in your head at certain times of the month?
When your kids yell 'MOM' one too many times, you can choose which Mom can answer said kids question! lol
You can shop in each others closet!
You know exactly what spots to work on when the time arises, takes a heck of allot less time getting the job done when you have the same parts Id guess.

Just a couple thoughts to ponder, oh and yes, if Id be given the chance, Id definately try it on for size, with no complaints from Hubby!

Yes. There are a lot of people who are free to voice themselves here in a way they feel they can't elsewhere. I love that and I celebrate it.

We have managed to create a community that goes against many of the "accepted" social standards of the places where many of us actually live. Don't take it for granted. Treat it like the rare jewel that it is. Cherish it.

I honestly don't know why, but I'm glad. So many of my friends here are lesbians, and they are all very wonderful people. So they don't want to fuck me....doesn't mean that I should resent them or find them bewildering. I just enjoy their company. There are plenty of straight or bi women out there as well, to have THAT kind of fun with. And even some of the lesbians will flirt playfully- I just recognize it as such and nothing more.

Colly was a classic case of a lesbian whom I was privileged to know. So much warmth, brilliance, depth, common sense, and humor. Did it really matter that she had no interest in men that way? Hardly. Several others come to mind....Vana, Sam, Abs, Min, Mat, Fem, Trin....if I missed any, it was by accident. So many sweet ladies....I enjoy their company a great deal. They just happen to be purely platonic friends. It's like having male friends....but better-looking and more.....fascinating.
