Let's lose some weight together

Just came across this thread

Wanted to leave my congrats to those who have already begun the process. :rose:

I will never stay on a diet. Tried many in my life, but as soon as the pounds disappear, I begin to gain again.

I agree with the habit of drinking a certain amount of water each day. I fill up an empty 2-liter bottle, fill it with water, then try to finish it by the end of the day.

Reading your posts have encouraged me, and I will be trying hard to get out and WALK... keep moving around gets things "going", and then paying more attention to what you consume. My problem is that my version of a serving is quite different from the measurements on the labels! ;)

Continued good luck, everyone.

Good luck to you! :)

I'm just checking in. It's been a busy time for me lately, so I've been doing what I tend to do when I'm busy and stressed out: I eat.

I don't weigh myself, so I don't know if that's affecting me weight-wise, but I'm even getting tired of the same junk. I'm craving strawberries... I think it's time to go to the store!

hey everyone, i have never posted on this thread before but just wanted to
say i hope you'll stick with it. it is not easy to lose weight but you have to not let one setback stop you. two years ago i lost 85 pounds and have stayed at 190 pounds since. it is not easy, but the more you loose the easier it gets to exercise and that helps a lot. keep up the good work!

Hi Pink!! Just checking in to see how things are going. :rose:

I've hit a plateau of sorts... lol.. can't seem to get 100% back on track, but not gaining anything back, so I guess that's not so bad. BUT, I need to get refocused and continue towards my goal of being more fit and somewhat svelte.. . I too have a big issue with getting all my water in. Where I work it's hard to do that - we're not supposed to have food or drink around while working. And trying to drink 2 liters worth before work, at lunch and after work is a bit rough for me. But I'll keep plugging along... :)

Wishing everyone continued good luck on their weight loss journey.. :D

I love Colbert. And it's a limited time only AV. Mary will be back soon enough.

Oh my gosh!! Don't even get me started on the chocolate cravings! LOL.. Though this weekend was salty carbs - wanted french fries, chips, popcorn. Thankfully I managed to stay away from them all, but it was rough! The chocolate though, I didn't manage to stay away from.. sighs.. LOL

I agree with you about the food diary. I didn't stray from plan as nearly as bad when keeping track of it all. Have to go dig mine out again.

We're trying the healthier eating habits too!

I have signed up for a weekly "zoo walk", and hopefully that will get in a good habit of getting myself outside and walking! :rose:

It sounds like a lot of us will have a very successful summer! :)

Welcome to the newcomers.

Walking is just about the only exercise that I can do, and I do it every day, fortunately we have a dog that does not allow us to relax and skip the walk. I also do some bike riding

The winter weather in the States does not really encourage you to go out after work, here the worse case scenario is about 5 degrees C.

Damned, I am doing all the right things and I am not loosing weight, just a bit, and being impatient does not help, I may have to give up wine, then if I have to give up women, I may as well shoot myself…LOL

Cheers

*laughs* now this sounds like a very plausible way to distract oneself from overeating and just imagine the calories burned... ;)

They weighed me at the Dr this morning, i've lost 3 pounds since my last visit a month ago. :)

Good for you ((((((((Pink)))))))) :nana:

I had my weigh in and measurement day April 2nd and I'm down 3.8 pounds since November...

I'm building muscle at the same time so while it isn't much weight loss my waist has decressed from 39.25" to 35.75" while my chest, arms and legs have increades slightly...

My current body fat is down to 13% to 14% from 22.9% last November. :D

Slow and steady wins the race...

He warned me there would come a time when my working out would make me weigh more. It's cool. :)

Well, that is a possibility but not true in every case...

Overall I'm down but I did go from 189 up to 190.6 before my body adjusted to my new eating habits and began giving up the stored fat.

Today i got a lesson oncarbohydrates and portion size. i was given a daily eating plan, so many carbs, so much meat per meal. For my daily snacks i was give a certain number of CARBS per snack. She showed me how to read the nutrional label for carbohydrates and figure out how many CARBS that would be. i learned a lot today. :)
