Does it strictly have to be a letter of love though?Yeah, my letter went nowhere. IRL it would have been a hard letter to write. It wasn't a letter of love per se. I'll keep chewing over it.

I'm pretty sure you can do it, EB. I wasn't feeling the letter thing until I started, then wrote it in no time. I probably spent more time proof reading and editing than writing! Is it possible to start something and get it finished in fifteen days? I have the germ of a plot, and two letters written as preamble, but as yet, no joining up of the erotica dots. Except in my head...
Maybe not, but mine was from a woman to the guy who spiked her drink, and then raped her along with six of his mates. Not an easy thing to write.Does it strictly have to be a letter of love though?
Yeah, you're right, Rusty. Sounds heavy.Maybe not, but mine was from a woman to the guy who spiked her drink, and then raped her along with six of his mates. Not an easy thing to write.
My thinking too. I've had an idea in my head for ages then an evening free so my second is submitted. I hope it'll read okay and I'm not using the event to dump thoughts!I just submitted my second entry.
My first entry was written in about a day, including editing. I probably should've taken some more time with it. This one took about two days, but I've been sitting on whether or not to submit it. Finally decided "Fuck it, What've I got to lose?"
True. I'd like to finish it, but it is a hard thing to write. I definitely need to be in the right mood to work on it. Late on a dark, gloomy night after a couple of Scotches. My first entry was a letter from a self-destructive woman to a friend and lover who killed himself when they were both 19.
I think heavy letters can fit the theme, especially the hard to write ones.
I agree. I've done a few epistolary stories in journal format over the years and have included brief letters in stories but a letter as a story all to itself harkens back to my pen pal and long-distance romance (well, an attempt at that anyway) days. I'm about 500 words into a second letter that may be done before the deadline but upcoming work deadlines are taking all of my usual writing time at the moment. We'll see....I'm glad I took this on. Mine is about three-fourths done. It's been interesting and enjoyable writing in a different format.
No, can't be done.I'm pretty sure you can do it, EB. I wasn't feeling the letter thing until I started, then wrote it in no time. I probably spent more time proof reading and editing than writing!
