LGBTQIA+ Daily Vibe II

Holey Moley! Dizz :rose:
Take a quick glance at the titles - you already have - plus ca change

Yes, but it's you guys I miss. :)

Aww x

So in the style of the thread
Doing: troll baiting in the GB
Listening: to Wolf Alice
Cooking: risotto rice with white fish and topped with slices of pear warmed in Balsamic
Wearing: Jumbo t-shirt
Loving : my gf who finishes work soon

Monday morning check-in:

Listening: to the sounds of an early morning city through the open window
Wearing: nothing, convincing myself to shower and get on with the day
Feeling: sick, and conflicted about work. Conflicted about a lot of things, really. Otherwise, oddly peaceful.

I hope you all have a great week. :rose:

Doing: packing to go on a course for a couple of days
Listening to: oversexed pidgeons
Wearing: shorts n T cos it's really warm  ( but it may not be where I'm going so have to pack too much stuff )

Sorry to hear about conflicts D :(

Listening: sounds of the city and the people in it
Wearing: winter gear, though trying not to overdo it
Feeling: like writing! If only there were more time.

Listening: the clicking of central heating pipes
Wearing the same stuff I wore at pilates earlier
Feeling: tired... bed now

I logged in to leave something simple here again. Something about listening to the furnace breathing, the dog breathing, the city breathing, the occasional crunch of tires as a car drives past the house, grinding through the ice-coated snow pack. Or how I'm all cosy in pyjamas and a house coat under a good blanket. Or how I can still smell spiced tea, even though it's been an hour or two since it was finished.

The problem is that "feeling" tag. There are words that could work. Complicated. Homesick. Tired. They’re not wrong, but they’re not right, either. Conflicted comes closer. Forgotten. Lonely. Disappointed.

I know, these aren’t things to leave on what should be a happy place, but you guys saw me through a lot. I can't go home, but I can come here. Say something. Know that at least one of you will hear me. (Thank you, stickygirl!) I miss the banter and debates. The shared victories and heartbreaks. I miss you guys.

Maybe this is just nostalgia. I don't know. I do know I was thinking of you tonight. I wanted you to know that, too.

I'm slightly weirded by everything breathing around you, but the scrunching sounds lovely ( from a warm place )! Here in the UK we alternate between grey days of rain when it hardly seems to get light, to days when the air is cold but the sun, bright yellow, still feels warm. Sometimes both in the same afternoon :p
At least now I can afford to put some heating on.

Listening to: Wolf Alice ( still ) love her lyrics
Wearing: the stuff I had on at a meeting and I really ought to change
Feeling: in need of a bath

I live in a part of the world where the winter air hurts my face. Why, I don't know.

Just sticking my head into Lit after a long absence (mainly because it's really boring around here without Sticky :) )

Listening: Savage Love podcast
Wearing: jeans, because I'm not at home where I can wear the clothes I prefer to
Feeling: like I'd rather not go out to this social event this evening

Maybe I'll look in again in a few months. Or maybe I'll stick around for a few days just to whip off another 34 posts so I can get to 1000. :D

Just sticky my head

I know how that feels :( ;)

Feeling very worthy for having written most of my Xmas cards on a drizzly UK day. Still thinking about getting a dog but I'm going to keep asking other people for advice and waiting till the NY before deciding... it feels like a big commitment so.... hmm.. Been playing troll-baiting in the GB but a couple of them seem obsessed with my dick and I decided not to enlighten them  Don't know why the GB isn't renamed the Bigoted Old White Man Supremacist thread and have done with it

Wearing: lots, in no particular order but I did get out of my PJs
Listening: London Grammar and the children who are apparently visiting the neighbours who are normally super quiet
Feeling: as above - worthy

Been playing troll-baiting in the GB [...] Don't know why the GB isn't renamed the Bigoted Old White Man Supremacist thread and have done with it.
I tried that briefly but it wasn't worth the aggravation of having to engage with bigoted idiots.

I love going into the GB and annoying as many as possible.
Your right about the bigoted gits that live there, yuk!

Partner is away for a few days doing some contract work so I am just hanging out playing with my shipbucket.com ships, enjoying an Oliva Series V and some iced tea checking on baseball on the MLB network. Always open for a PM as well

With all that's been going on in the world over the past year and a bit, I'm glad there are still safe places, real or virtual. Places to just chill for a while. Lean for a while. Share. Listen. Commune.

Because it's only with that community that we are ever going to find better places. Make better places. Be better ourselves.

Yay, another baseball fan! I usually just get blank stares up here.

Does anyone else ever just ache for intimacy? Not necessarily sexual intimacy, just... I don't know. That connection, I guess.

I remember once going about two months without ever touching anyone, but that's not what you meant. I need my intimacy but on my own terms - it's not that I'm being controlling, but that intimacy from some people can be a bit much for me. It's a two-way thing of course... *rambles

Hi D xxx

Setting your own terms is a very good thing.
A bit like Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice - the one with Colin dropdeadgorgeous Firth. I mean Lizzy takes no shit from anyone: she's my kinda girl.
aaaand... apparently Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle had a passionate affair during the filming, that they kept very quiet...then... they also appeared together in The Kings Speech, but no word has been said if she got the part because of him, or if there was a rematch for old times sake. Well I would clearly, but would Jen?
It's a must see.
The Keira Knightley version is meh... too rushed, too many things rammed together to make the movie. Pride and Prejudice and the zombies is watchable.
They're all about sex and power, and money.

Ack, I lost track of this place again. You know, I have never seen or read any of those. Which is bizarre, because there aren't a lot of major literary classics I haven't read yet.
