LGBTQIA+ Daily Vibe II

Does anyone else ever just ache for intimacy? Not necessarily sexual intimacy, just... I don't know. That connection, I guess.

Hi dizzylia:kiss::rose::kiss: I hope life is treating you like a goddess of dance

Sometimes just to be cuddled up with someone watching a crappy comedy, while the wind rage soutside and the rain slams into the windows like its never going to stop, is the most comforting feeling imaginable. Just feeling safe, warm and connected.

Its also hard to find someone who understands this simple need

We all need that & we sometimes don't appreciate it when we have it. God Bless you with a good, health connection soon!

At some point, I think fantasy can become a hazard rather than a release, an escape, a comfort. It used to make me feel better, knowing the emotions behind the fantasies could be real. Now, it is a keen ache, building pressure, and the only release will be heartache.

Mood: introspective
Wearing: still in my night shirt, 'cause I'm working from home
Listening to: the creaking of the house as it warms and cools

Hiya gorgeous :kiss::kiss: It is so fabulous to see you back here

I full understand what you are getting at, when the expectation is no longer satisfaction but diappointment. :rose:

mood: listless and unable to concentrate on editing interview with Cynthia Ross for my radio show

wearing: neon pink leopard print mini dress, white tights, pink gogo boots.

listening to: the new unreleased as yet album from Andy Cousin (All About Eve & The Mission) and Anne Marie Hurst (Skeletal Family & Ghost Dance)

I dunno how many transgender people there are on Lit, so I just thought I'd say, "Hey," and make my presence known here if anyone wants to chat. :rose:

Good to see you, too!

And yeah, that's exactly it. Like... it's not longer just this lingering idea. It feels pretty darn certain. But I'm also reaching that point where the certainty is edging more toward comforting rather than frightening, so... that's something. Life is a highway, and all that stuff.

This thread makes me feel a bit old, but nostalgic: look there's @naughtyinsilk who was so kind to me and who worked on stage wowing audiences; there's @dizzylia who almost made me pack my bags and head west ... good times. Innocent times too, before Fox put trans folk on the front page of every hate-paper they produce and when JKR still had universal support and less anger in her life. In fact, look dizzy's post is pre-covid ffs.

Anyway, I didn't come here or anywhere else to reminisce, though Lord knows I prefer looking back to forward right now. No, I came to share this video with you from Joe Lycett. He's a comedian and it's self explanatory and funny and supportive of LGBTQ+

Happy vibes to all GLBTQIA+ members here.

Music: not sure, Word Up (Cameo), Drive Your Funky Soul or Dance to the Beat by Superlover.

Wearing: at work so boring old male clothes. I'll be in a cute little striped dress and little green panties at home.

Rainy weekend out here in the northwest so I'm messing around with some painting and printmaking.

How very actually pretty cool indeed!
Thanks! No matter how ideas turn out, it's lots of fun working them out.
This one I removed more block material to try another print, so not sure just yet how the finished image will be

Happy Wednesday morning. It's cloudy, threatening to rain yet my mood is sleepy bubbly.
It's nice to have the morning time to sit and catch up on things
Wearing: a wrap skirt, and tank top. I'll change to jeans and hoody before I head off to work, still some time to quietly sit and consider stuff 🌹
Anyways, I hope y'all have an awesome day out there!

I've washed the blackberries I picked yesterday and now they're freezing on trays. This way I can keep the berries separate and not a big lump. Love blackberry pie - my gran used to make it so it's a family fav.

Now I'm home, it's soft old jeans and fleece top

I wonder if the berries we call blackberries over here in Alaska are the same you have? Pretty sure ours are also called crowberries and they grow close to the ground.
No doubt your blackberry pie is amazing!

Crowberries got a mention in my Greenland story!
Blackberries or brambles grow in hedges or any neglected bit of land

Thought I would share an image of a carving from the museum I work at. It is a beautiful piece, I often look at it, loving how expressive the carver depicted the man's face.
Early evening for me, comfortable at home, wearing my fav wrap skirt and ragged t.
mood? smily, feeling a little silly.
music of course! Splendor and concealment, Human Bell

It is already mid day Sunday.....geez the day goes by fast as I sit around drinking my second coffee, aimlessly reading and messing with stuff.
The weather is pretty nice here today, so I better get outta here and do my outside thing 🌲
Mood is a relaxed comfortable feeling, honestly hard to get moving 😜

Hiya @stickygirl I still pop in every once in while but stopped commenting and getting active in threads due to the forums losing their roots in interesting discussion and turning into repetitive picture albums. I do however think about you & Dizzy all the time. I am still wowing audiences as you put it rather over generously on stage, including still hosting stages at lots of music festivals, and doing my weekly music radio show too. Life is busy and fun but damn hard work. Keeping thinking I am getting too old for all this, but thought of giving it up is even scarier. Sending you lots of love :rose:  :rose:

mood: melancholic
wearing: red satin pyjamas
music: Rites Of Hadda - Soiling Someone Elses Knickers
