“You can’t show naked breasts in public!”

“Is it okay for a man to go shirtless?”

“Of course, men don’t have breasts like women.”

“So since you consider trans-women to be men is it okay for them to go topless?”

“Well, no. Because their breasts look like women’s breasts.”

“So the issue is how they look, not about chromosomes?”

“When it comes to breasts, yes.”

“What about flat chested women? Can they go topless in public?”

“No. They would be showing their nipples.”

“Men show their nipples when they go topless.”

“But it’s okay for men to show their nipples in public.”

I have a butch cis female friend who appears male. She’s had security called on her for using the women’s restroom several times. It used to upset her but now she gets a kick out of it. When she has time she lets it escalate to whatever level the complaining Karen wants to take it to, ending in inevitable humiliation for the complainer.

Speaking of jobs....today an tomorrow are my last days at my current job. Not gonna get into reasons, but I'm disappointed.

This looks great! So glad you are still able to get in some runs. The season in the Northeast is pretty much over, I think in the Alps too ...happy for anyone who can get out there. Already dreaming of next season...

Talked to my surgeon and insurance company earlier, my FFS is approved. Though it won't happen until September. More wait. Oh well, at least it is something. Took my e&p shot a bit late. Been up the last few days watching comfort movies, now shopping for flowers. Have to pay some taxes at the clerk's office later. Mostly ignoring the world around me.

There's lots of media talk about the last El Papa being pro LGBT but I can't say I felt the warmth. The new one has apparently made anti LGBT posts, but hey - he's a catholic. I doubt I'll notice the draft from his entrance when there are so many politicians doing The Good Work for him.

Still know very little about this new person called the pope....as I don't subscribe to catholicism, or any religion, I tend to view these goings on as not much more than rich people cos-plays.
I know that is a seriously simplistic view and in fact the church extends control into daily life even if I'm not one of their chosen.
One thing I have noticed on social media feeds is talk seems to be that the ultra conservative prez bonespur cult thinks this new pope is a "woke marxist liberal"
So reading that, I feel like maybe he's not all bad

A long little slice of life from this weekend:

A few months ago a new face started showing up at some of the local music jams I go to on a fairly regular basis. I’ve been longing to connect with more queer musicians and this guy’s vibe is cute, friendly, and warm. Adorably handsome is what comes to mind. We connected musically, already knowing many common songs between us. We kept ending up sitting next to each other while playing with larger groups. Last Friday he said he’d finally finished moving into his new house and was ready for visitors. He invited me to come over to jam for a bit. I called him back the next day and drove up to his house in the woods.

I often present in non-gender conforming clothes when I go to the jams so I wondered if he might be hitting on me, but I’m a full head and shoulders taller so I wasn’t worried about my safety.

When he showed me around his house I kept seeing rainbow flag stickers and such things so I thought I might have called it, but we just kept trading songs and finding common ground. When I finished playing the song “Piazza New York Catcher” by Belle and Sebastian he smiled and said he knew that one, so I told him how I related to the song as the story of a strait guy hanging around San Francisco with his lesbian crush, telling how I’ve wandered around in SF in the same area with a lesbian friend when we had no place to stay… My new friend lit up and told me that he is transgender and loves that song too. We ended up sharing our life’s stories with each other - well, as much as we could share in the next two hours.

We’ve made plans to get a short set together so we can play out when the occasions present.

Maisie Adams is a comedian in the UK and I've crushed on her for a while. So when she posted this on her Insta, I loved her even more. In case you can't view the link, she mocks the decision by the FA to ban trans women players when there are no professional players, and only 30 playing at local clubs etc in the whole fucking UK - there are 68 million people in the UK...

As a footnote, the UK's FA banned all women from playing football ( soccer ) for over 50 years, ending in 1971
