Women are all about togetherness. They form friendships and hang out together to discuss every aspect of their lives from children to money to appearance to success, to... everything. And that satisfies them because they feel like they're part of something.

A man's world is different. Everything he does is a competition, either with himself or with someone else. Each day he goes off to face the universe and, for the most part,** he does it alone and against a headwind from the boss/customers/co workers. He goes out against strong odds of failure and he brings home the bacon every day.

What modern women seem to think is that telling him he failed and she wants more will motivate him to do better. And they're right, it'll motivate him to find a better partner. One who appreciates his efforts instead of belittling him for them.

And the ones left behind or cast aside wonder why.
