"Liberals!"

Liar:

~~~
You reject faith as an answer to the sanctity of life and now it is not a matter of scienific concern? Just what the hell do you use to make a moral or ethical decision? Ouija Board?
Well I don't make up sham "science" to fit my world view, that's fir sure.
You express a true chimera, rejecting both faith and reason. Kinda like whistling in the dark as you cower away from the light.
You make a mockery of science and faith and offer nothing but trite statements, can you really not deal with the subject in rational terms?
Amicus...
I'm trying to, but your lunacy keeps geting in the way.
I said that the scientific biologist's view is that the splicing and merging of genom is one step of many in a process to produce offspring, or new life.
Your answer?
Hurr, I have me dem packets of garden seeds, therefore Life Begins At Conception.
Are you for real?
Forget it. All I can do at this point is point and laugh. And it's not worth the breath.
As I said before, Liar, you go to extraordinary lengths to dispute science with trivial objections. I have about 30 packets of garden 'seeds', awaiting the arrival of spring so I can fertilize them, place them in a suitable environment and wait for them to spring to LIFE.
Again, since it is not a matter of scientific dispute that life begins at conception, what is your special interest? Are you a female who had an abortiion and are compelled to defend your action?
Methinks thou doth protest too much...:rolleyes:
ami
edited to add: If one of those cabbage seeds turns out to be a little girl, or a cabbage patch doll, you will be the first to be informed. (heh)
I don't know of anybody else who seriously believes a zygote is a human being. Certainly no biologist believes that although there is no question that there is the potential to be a human. I suppose you also think an acorn is an oak tree and a fertilized egg is a chicken just because there is the potential for them to become those things.
I hope you are also aware that the majority of pregnancies end naturally in what should be called spontaneous abortions but are usually called miscarriages.
I was not aware that a 'majority' ends in miscarriage and even that is a sad event for most...to lose a child that way is traumatic and should be viewed that way.
When you continue to rely on , 'majority believes', it does not surprise me that you place your moral judgment in the hands of faith and not reason.
Many couples are infertile together and it is a great disappointment to them that they cannot create a child and all the while the abortion generation blithely casts away their future.
Why not just face the fact that your generation prefers casual, meaningless sex and uses abortion as a method of birth control without regard to that life within?
Piffle.
We prefer education to mysticism.
We prefer access to birth control rather than religious denials of control.
We prefer to have the option about what happens with our own bodies.
You, ami, with all of your talk of governmental controls, how is it that you miss this fundamental idea?
Or, since it's a female body it doesn't matter all that much, hmm?
Tsk.
as long as it fits our preferences
and all the side effects that shorten lives
this is why abortion rates increase with birth control, you think you have the power of life and death
based on side effects that is a good description of all drug companies
Tsk.
Just a few suggestions for accuracy.
Sweetsubsarahh & Cloudy in two part harmony...(with two cats on the porch? song?),, ah how I do love the flibbertigibbet ladies of the AH.
The male and female of the species have complimentary superiorities which has always been the stuff of poetry in more gentle times.
The sexual freedom of the male from consequences related to frequent sexual encounters, is mainly limited only by the exposure to sexually transmitted diseases, as pregnancy is not a concern.
Ah, but the independent minded modern female, demanding equality if not superiority to the male, has set forth to prove that she too, can be a modern day Cassanova or Don Juan and pursue sexual exploits just like her male counterpart.
Such a deal.
The history of prostitution is illuminating in that it chronicles the avaricious appetite of the male and the willingness of the female to offer her sexual satisfaction on the open market. True capitalists they be, my friends, whatever the market will bear.
'Gluttons',
"...Derived from the Latin gluttire, meaning to gulp down or swallow, gluttony is the over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or intoxicants to the point of waste. In some Christian denominations, it is considered one of the seven deadly sins—a misplaced desire of food or its withholding from the needy."
, might well describe the modern female as she indulges in food, drink, cosmetics, weight reduction, liposuction, breast enhancement, clothing and jewelry, all to better entice the male in the creation dance of sexual intercourse.
In the absence of dedication to child and family, an embarrassing contretemps has arisen as these pampered females find themselves with nothing to do but compete for satiation in the oldest game in the world, that of unfettered sexual indulgence.
Mankind has been silly enough to loose this epidemic of gluttony on an unsuspecting world and the consequences are yet to unfold in all their misery.
I suspect an emergence of Islamic like Sharia laws will quell the uprising feminist mistake; a shame that mankind seems to learn only by trial and error and from the mistakes made.
Women are much more comfortable in being controlled, for then they can exercise the wiles and seductive poses to impress those who rule them.
Such a deal...
True. So even though a fertilized egg is a possibility, it's a pretty small one. And now, with science:
http://www.reason.com/news/show/34948.html
---
John Opitz, a professor of pediatrics, human genetics, and obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah, testified before the President's Council on Bioethics that between 60 and 80 percent of all naturally conceived embryos are simply flushed out in women's normal menstrual flows unnoticed. This is not miscarriage we're talking about. The women and their husbands or partners never even know that conception has taken place; the embryos disappear from their wombs in their menstrual flows. In fact, according to Opitz, embryologists estimate that the rate of natural loss for embryos that have developed for seven days or more is 60 percent. The total rate of natural loss of human embryos increases to at least 80 percent if one counts from the moment of conception.
Naah. SARAH is damaged goods, and anyone with good taste senses it.
From the piece you pasted...
Still...just a diversion and an evasion. Truly astounding that you reject the obvious just to suit your ideology. Rather like the climate specialists.
It self evident to any and all with a brain, that human life begins at the instant of conception. Whether it is lost to a natual caused miscarriage, or an intended procedure is irrelevant.
It is a charade to imagine that conception is anything else than the beginning of human life.
and you know it....all of you.
Youre right, of course...but dont discourage the Usual Suspects from it. In the long run it suppresses the welfare rolls, prison population, and number of marxist perfessers.
No, not really.
I adored my pregnancies, have never had an abortion (don't think I ever could) but that's not really the issue, is it?
At the elemental beginnings, the growing clump of cells cannot survive without a host.
It's more like a parasite, really. A growing tumor. At least until the brain develops.
You can wax rhapsodic, but this is basic, dear ami.
