Library Suggestions

Was thinking perhaps some people had suggestions of threads which they think might be worthwhile fodder for the library. I know I have had many comments made about topics which have no info on them in the library, and that some topics only have threads from pre-2003 in them while many other threads on those topics since then have generated much more information. Perhaps it would help if we could list some of those we think could be of help.

This one:

Also travel threads.

Oh and is the Introduce Yourself thread in there? Someone asked me if there was one and where it was the other day. It took me SO long to find that sucker!

Diary of an S&M Romance

Book suggestion:
Diary of an S&M Romance. By Dollie Llama.
http://www.smdiary.com

"Dollie Llama's angelic memoir sets her oh-so-devilish audience on fire. See you in Hell!"
—Charles Gatewood (Erotic photojournalist)

"One of the most insightful forays into the workings of the submissive mind. A must read for anybody even slightly interested in Dominance/submission and BDSM."
—BaadMaster (Head writer for Bondage.com and host of
the BaadMaster's Dungeon talk show on KSEXradio.com)

"This loving and positive portrayal of a submissive, by a submissive, should be read by Dom/mes to give a greater understanding of those they play with...and by submissives to learn that they aren't alone and shouldn't be ashamed of their consensual lifestyle.
Kudos to Dollie for such openness and courage."
—Mistress Genevieve (Lifestyle/professional Dominatrix,
Sex Therapist with The Dr. Susan Block Institute)

Could you, perchance, expand on the gender and sex section? Maybe for the male vs. female brain thread, musings on masculinity, etc. That would be a great deal of help.

Thought this might help our new librarian in terms of locating things the search function does not co-operate with:rolleyes:, and hearing what threads/topics others think might be worth considering without obligation for her to take on board every suggestion.:rose:

kitten would like to suggest a book she found online, its an ebook called
" An Owned Life" it takes a look at the foundatons and dynamics of a M/s relatinship through a Masters eyes, highlighting areas where so many new to this life make mistakes.

This is well worth reading no matter how long Y/you have been a part of this life, interesting facts and ideas.

There is a new librarian. :nana:

It's me, Grace.

Either way, I'll be updating and getting the library going again. I'd love any suggestions you all have, and this is the thread to do that in.

Thanks!

This is a great idea. I'd say continue with what Rebecca did, but in your own style. I liked the graphics she added, but that's just my opinion. You do your own thing. Just keep the cookie crumbs cleaned up, if you know what's good for ya!

I want to add in a FAQ spot to the library. It'd be for questions like 'what's pyl stand for'. Are there any other suggestions for questions to add? This'd be questions with quick answers, nothing like 'what's my label' or 'am i sick?'

I like the graphics, now that I have pictures turned on, but if you don't have pictures turned on, and you try to click on her 'discussion' links all you get is a picture, so I'm going to reduce the pictures for those of us who have our links turned off.

Updates

I will be adding a page for pregnancy and labels. I will also be working on a kinky dictionary, of sorts, that will define terms that a newbie might not understand. So far I've gotten up through anal play in working on links and the like.

Real quick, and while I'm thinking about it, thank you, etoile, for figuring out how to do this. *hugs*

Hmm. It's kinda it's own kink, really. Can there be a new category?

There could, but I hate to make a category for one thread.

I'll look through the threads and see if I can find some other threads on cages.

Does it have a literal term?

Confinement maybe, to make it a little more general? Then if we find a thread about being locked in a closet... or shoved under a bed...

Whoah.

"How to 'make' my husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend dominate/submit to me?" That way when we have 15 threads about it on the front page of Talk, we can just link to the Library and the damn things will fall to the bottom of the page, LOL.
