Literotica Forum Update: Share Your Feedback, Issues & Requests

Could the tone/contrast of 'sticky' posts on forums be a little darker, because they're so similar in tone to regular forum headers (on iphone and desktop )? Or maybe have a border on them?

I can't remember if this was brought up. But under news feeds. Why does it show what my friends are doing? Obviously, these are the people I am following. But I feel like that is info not needed. I don't need to see what my friends are doing/commenting on.
I think that's pretty much all the news feed is... there's an option to not let people see your activity, if you don't want people to

And I think I clicked that for my own profile. But I can still see what most of my friends are doing. It's just weird.

looks like they still have it set so others following them can see what and where they are about. Perhaps they don't care or, just as likely, don't know; might be an idea to pm them there's an option in case?

Hey! I just saw an ignored members Av. Thought we only had to look at notification that nasty ppl had posted something. :puke:

Instead of using the News Feed -- which, I agree, is just too much information and needs filters -- I rely on the Alerts. It's the little bell (and the envelope for Conversation / PMs) in the top right corner. That seems to give me enough information to guide me to the next thing I see without overwhelming me. However, I'm certain I am not subscribed to a fraction of the threads you are.

Re: 'FILE NOT FOUND'
I had posted a number of images on various Forum threads that were uploaded from my hard drive via the 'Attach files' box (the one with the paper clip). It appears that they stayed visible for three days, but have now either disappeared or have been replaced with 'PAGE NOT FOUND'. They all disappeared this morning (3/9/2022). It feels like the site periodically does some sort of 'sweep' or purge of attached files. I see that a number of posts made by other posters that were also once visible and now disappeared.

Possibly this is to cut down on space taken up on the site servers?

So, what is the point of having an 'Attach files' feature?

EDIT: 🤦‍♂️ I was looking up at the 'Link' icon, not down at the REALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS "Attach files."

When I click that icon, a Windows Explorer window on my Windows desktop opens up, from which I can select an image. I just did this one attached. Not sure how long it will persist.

That worked.
I see the attache dimage as a thumbnail , which when clicked, expands to large size.
You should have the option to "insert" image, either as a thumbnail or full size, when attaching.

Yes. I have done both insert as thumbnail and as full size at various times. In both cases, the thumbnail or image lasted for 2-3 days, then was replaced with a clickable link 'View attachment xxxxxxx', which when clicked gives that error "PAGE NOT FOUND".

i think that happens when someone quotes your own post or someone who quoted you, too (possibly maybe), even if it still hides the content of their post.

was getting 'bad gateway' messages any which way i tried to enter the forum side of lit. working now, though.
