Literotica Forum Update: Share Your Feedback, Issues & Requests

I don't know about the old Design, but in the new Design, there's that bar to the right of every story. If you choose a theme there, it will be used for the entire site, not just the story pages.

That only works story-side...it doesn't affect the boards. There's no option native to the boards for dark mode, at least not one that I can find.

Well I am also a chat mod and it would be lovely to have the option for chat. When the chat first updated last year I had so many people asking me if there was a dark mode..lol but I will keep that in mind when I am reading so thank you.

Forum still not recognizing me as logged in. Have to click somewhere else in the Forum and then it's a 50/50 chance I'll be recognized as logged in even then.

Always had that problem. But, interestingly, the forum DOES actually show all the forums without any new posts since my last visit as completely read. So I know that I AM logged in, the top bar simply doesn't show my profile picture and notifications.

Probably nobody. Manu is the only one who makes technical changes and he hasn't been responding. You could try to PM him.

Hi guys,

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I had two small feature requests that I wanted to propose.

The first regards the list of favourite authors and stories that a Literotica profile follows, as seen below.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a small free text section to the right of each followed author? It would be a cool way to tell people why they've been chosen as a favourite. One author might tell great romance stories, while another might be funny or write really hot scenes. Free text would be great, but it could be character limited to stop the page becoming bloated or distorting the UI.

My other feature request would be the ability for an author to pin a chosen comment to the top of the list. This would be great if there's a specific comment that might address other readers' concerns, or if an author wanted to highlight a nice piece of feedback. The pinned comment would always show at the top of the list, while sorting by newest or oldest would affect all others below.

Thanks to anyone taking the time to read this and apologies if it's been submitted to the wrong place.

Nice idea but not everyone uses favourites to flag favourites but uses them as a form of tag. It is the only non specific trackable feature: for example, I use favourites to track multi part stories. As many authors take months to to write sequels one often forgets where on is in a series I flag part x as a favourite so when x+1 appears I can check to see if I am reading that series.

That's a great point, people could be using that page for different purposes. Thanks for reading my post though. :)

I thought he was talking about the list of users that you follow, not favorites.

But now that you mention it, do some users favorite stories instead of follow to track serials? Isn't that more work? Why not just follow so you don't have to manually check all the time?

When I get to the end of a series that hasn't ended yet, or if I'm taking a break from it, I put the last chapter I read in a reading list called "continue." It helps avoid uncertainty when I see new chapters published.

People use this site in a lot of different ways so its entirely possible that people don't follow authors or have some other system. I had one person tell me they never used favorites and instead used browser bookmarks because they could sort and categorize them the way they wanted.

That said, reading lists are a fairly recent addition to the site...we used to only have the favorites list. So there are a ton of people that are just in the habit of using favorites as a bookmark and don't even realize or care that the reading list feature exists.

Not sure if its been requested before or not.

BUT on the support author options, add in one for buy me a coffee. While yes there is patron and people can sub and then cancel. a Buy me a coffee link would allow people to do a one off payment to support authors

There has been a massive exodus of Twitter users to BlueSky since the2024 election.

Any chance Blue Sky (https://bsky.app) could be added as an approved media source in Literotica posts?
